I'm trying to use papaya free and it keeps giving me an error unexpectedly forced to close. I rebooted my phone and still same error. One thing I did notice is it said install unsuccessfully after it downloaded. Any Ideas How to fix this

I own a samsung moment which was rooted about a month+ ago. I started receiving an error message randomly today from HelixLauncher: The application HelixLauncher (process com.helixproject.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. It prompts me to force close then I receive the same error message yet again.
I cannot access anything on my phone as this error message renders anything on the phone almost completely inaccessible. I don't understand why I've randomly gotten stuck with this error message. I'm guessing my only option is a hard reset/safemode reboot and eventually re-root; this application seems to fuel a large part of the current 'root' I am running.
I am getting a forced close error everytime I try to remove the HTC Messaging widget from one of my screens. I tap and hold down on the widget to select it so I can move it to the "remove" button at the bottom of the screen. Well when I tap and hold I get a forced error close message. Any ideas what I need to do to correct this issue. I'm using the original messaging app, and only have 3 other non related apps downloaded.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIi have created a marker demowhich the marker on the map for which I have used pushpin.gif image. I have added the pushpin.gif in the drawable folders which is inside the resource folder. When I run it on the emulator the force close errror appears. I have also made sure that I add <uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps"/> as a child of application which was given as an earlier solution by a friend on the discussion group. Still the error persists. I guess the code is fine.

I keep getting this message, "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." followed by a box to 'force close.'
I seem to remember it wanted to update about a week ago, so I hit ok and then the update failed. It has not asked to try and update again since then....
The phone will display this message upon start up and also will occur at other seemingly random times.
The phone works fine after pressing force close but does anyone know how to stop this annoyance?
I have been getting the "Forced closed" error on my Desire.
Have found it so far when I am going into setting to uninstall an app and in Sound Recorder.
I reset to factory settings and it was fine....reinstalled all my apps.
I think one of the apps is causing the issue but don't know which one.
Anyway I can find out - is there a trouble shooting app or something I can run in hidden commands?
Google maps application is crashing constantly after the 4.4.0 update on my Captivate.At first, I thought it was the lag fix that caused corruption so I re-flashed the stock ROM and it still crashes.The only fix so far is to downgrade to 4.0.0.Is anyone else having similar problems?
View 26 Replies View RelatedI have the capitvate At&t and have rooted and sideloaded from this site and have downloaded apps. I use Launcher Pro and have no problems with it. Recently I had tried to open Google Calendar and the Daily Briefing app, (I don't know if there is more) and it comes up with "Sorry the process com.android.calendar has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. blah blah blah. Use #9900# to copy out log. Neither one ever opens now. I have not done a hard reset, but have turned off pulled the battery. Any ideas short of starting all over. I mean its not crucial as I use DejaOffice, but I finally got my outlook to sync to the phone and all and don't really want to have to go through all the headach. In addition I have some paid apps and am afraid it will be a pain to get them back. I probably did too much tweaking to the phone I assume. Any help or advice other than "Sucks to be you" would be great.

(not the first time) but after turning back on it throws this error at me com.sec.android.providers.downloads has stopped unexpectedly with a force close. Now every time I reboot it it comes up with the same error. Also it reset some of the factory settings (my internet browser got reset as well as my background and my alarms). Now everything is somewhat back to normal other then every reboot after I get that error my browser gets reset and I cannot download anything off there anymore (like pictures).

I got the OTA 2.2 a day or so ago. I have discovered the app "voice searce" I then downloaded the app in the market. I then viewed the short intro and then I tried it out It took a while and I had to ask for help on this forum but finally I got it to sort of working. I decided to send a test text to my wife so I tapped on the app and once it loaded I said "send text to xxxxxxxxx" (my wife's name) "This is a test" After it read my voice I got a screen that looked like this to: xxxxxxxxxxxx (my wife's name as listed on my contact list)

I had tried this over and over again and I always get the same message.
I have a new Samsung Moment phone and keep getting the error Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. This error does not seem to have a trigger, just happens when the phone is sitting there. I have tried a master reset of the phone and it did not resolve the problem. I've checked all contacts and I do not see any problems with them but I am not real sure what to look for as it doesn't error out on any particular contact. Facebook is not used on the phone so it's not a sync problem there. Are there any logs on the phone I can look at to pinpoint where this might be coming from? Or should I just take the phone back to sprint for a new one?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWatching Taskiller, I've seen that programs I close continually reopen.
My first thought was 'oh, I have them set to sync, I'll turn that off' so I disabled all syncing items on the phone - went through every menu and every setting and submenu to ensure there wasn't anything calling up a program I didn't need running.
That said, many of the programs I randomly see when going into Taskiller are things like Sprint Navigation, Moxier Mail, Messaging, NFL Mobile Live, Sprint TV, the Weather Channel app, and Calendar.
If I've turned off syncing, things like Moxier Mail and Calendar shouldn't be opening - and the rest of the items up there DEFINITELY shouldn't be automatically reopening, sucking up my memory and (presumably) my battery.
My fiancee and I each got Moments on Tuesday, each love them, but we're each seeing these rogue programs continually restarting and while she's not meticulous and crazy about it, it's driving me nuts.
I grabbed Startup Auditor, but aside from that not even working from a warm reboot, it restarted itself repeatedly and that led to a quick uninstallation...not to mention that these programs weren't just starting on boot, but randomly appearing in my open apps list in Taskiller at various times I'd check it during the day.
First, I'm assuming we're not alone in seeing this issue, right?
Second, what the HELL can I do to stop these things from starting? I absolutely do NOT NEED the Weather Channel app to start up - I live in San Diego, damnit, it's gonna be 70 and partly cloudy!
I've searched around the forums (here and SDX forums) and although it seems the few people that had this issue were able to solve it, my case seems a bit different.
It's different because of the people I've read solving the issue, it was a problem with something they changed / removed with gmail / gmail storage or talk / talk storage. And when they cleared the cache or re-installed the problem went away. Also, it seemed that the same people had a problem with downloading from the market...
Neither of the above apply to me, but yet I'm still getting this FC error all the time!
I was helping a friend with their CL14 Moment out of the box...and went from stock 1.5 CL14 to 2.1 DD03 w/Joey recovery to EclairDD10 and v5 root. I then did the streaming media fix, and then the private app (build.prop) fix (all previously done with my phone no problems). I did all of these update right in a row, and after my last re-boot the FC error (process com.google.process.gapps has stoped unexpectedly) started showing up and won't go away.
The only .apk / odex files I removed were the preloaded Sprint apps
Does anybody have any other ideas on how I can get this FC error to stop? I've tried clearing the cache / data for all the mail / talk apps, rebooted, cleared dalvik cache...
Just bought LG Optimus S which on sale (half price). The browser was working fine at the beginning. Root it and after that my browser kept force to close everytime i open it.
Unroot it back, and do factory reset, and now it is even worse, i cant even go to googleplay (market) or anything to do with internet, it kept showing me this error:

View 15 Replies View RelatedI got 87% complete and then it froze. Now my phone wont do anything but get an sdx screen. Holding volume down camera and end wont do anything but maybe 1 out of 100 times. When it finally gets to the download screen the updater just sits and says ready and never downloads. Then after a minute of that the phone exits that screen automatically and just goes to a charging screen. PLEASE HELP my phone isnt even a phone currently it will do nothing.
Every time i try and look for and update like PRL firware or anything i always get an error message saying there is no network connection. and this also happens when i run the devices self service 1.1. But the thing is right after i try one of those things i wait a minute or so then open up the browser and have a fine a connection.

I cannot make any sense of this because if it was a format issue of how I have my contact entered then why would it allow me to respond to the msg until I get the error. I know looking at the image below you cannot see my previous replies but trust me I am able to reply to txt msg's. I will mention this I do have my line blocked so my contact entries are as follows *821732-555-5555 mobile pager 732-555-5555 <<This is the one I txt to the other number example is the one I select for when calling the person so the number is unlocked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i have had the Moment (on Sprint) for a while now, and there is one problem i can't seem to fix. The phone seems to constantly drop the area code off of ALMOST all messages I recieve from just one specific contact. So when I go to reply to that person, i get a 9230 error (not using a ten digit number) and i have to go to my contacts screen and choose to send a new message from there. Anyone have any ideas to fix? I have tried clearing the cache and using a different SMS software, all with the same problem.
