It seems recently that Pandora refuses to work, its always "unexpectedly stopped working and force close" etc etc. Any suggestions why?

Lately, every time I startup or re-boot my phone, I get the following error message right after startup.
View 25 Replies View RelatedIi have created a marker demowhich the marker on the map for which I have used pushpin.gif image. I have added the pushpin.gif in the drawable folders which is inside the resource folder. When I run it on the emulator the force close errror appears. I have also made sure that I add <uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps"/> as a child of application which was given as an earlier solution by a friend on the discussion group. Still the error persists. I guess the code is fine.

Last night all of a sudden my phone rebooted itself in my pocket. (not the first time) but after turning back on it throws this error at me com.sec.android.providers.downloads has stopped unexpectedly with a force close. Now every time I reboot it it comes up with the same error. Also it reset some of the factory settings (my internet browser got reset as well as my background and my alarms). Now everything is somewhat back to normal other then every reboot after I get that error my browser gets reset and I cannot download anything off there anymore (like pictures).
I have the Bell Vibrant not rooted or anything. 2.1 with a bunch of normal apps.

Just bought LG Optimus S which on sale (half price). The browser was working fine at the beginning. Root it and after that my browser kept force to close everytime i open it.
Unroot it back, and do factory reset, and now it is even worse, i cant even go to googleplay (market) or anything to do with internet, it kept showing me this error:

As this phone is locked to my provider, i bought some unlock key to unlock, now my phone is unlock but this thing is coming.
I called LG, they offer me for services which will take more around 4 weeks
I keep getting this message, "The process com.htc.provider has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." followed by a box to 'force close.'
I seem to remember it wanted to update about a week ago, so I hit ok and then the update failed. It has not asked to try and update again since then....
The phone will display this message upon start up and also will occur at other seemingly random times.
The phone works fine after pressing force close but does anyone know how to stop this annoyance?
This isn't a compatibility issue. Okay so when I first installed HTC sync it was fine. I used it to install the latest ROM from T-mobile. I haven't used it since seeing as I didn't really have any need to. But today I though I may as well try it. So I turn my phone on. Plug it in. Drag down the notify bar. HTC sync. Sync now.
Pop-up on my computer says syncing calendar. Then it stops after 2 items. I look at my phone and it says HTC sync stop unexpectedly and I had to force close it. So I go into setting and try using HTC sync from there. But then my computer tells me the connection to my phone has times out. So, I restart my phone this time I get to 4 items. But the same thing happens.
Is there anyone else out there having trouble with Pandora staying connected? After I tune in to a station that I like and leave my phone, I will notice that my music has stopped playing. But, (sometimes) when I come back to my phone, the music will start back up. Then again, more times than none, when I come back to the phone, the program has stopped responding and I will have to restart the entire program.

If I try to use it I get a popup that says: Sorry - The application of Camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. The button below says 'Force close'. What could I have done? How do I fix it? Also my battery life at the same time has gone from acceptable to horrendous. Is this related or coincidence?

I started receiving an error message randomly today from HelixLauncher: The application HelixLauncher (process com.helixproject.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. It prompts me to force close then I receive the same error message yet again.
I cannot access anything on my phone as this error message renders anything on the phone almost completely inaccessible. I don't understand why I've randomly gotten stuck with this error message. I'm guessing my only option is a hard reset/safemode reboot and eventually re-root; this application seems to fuel a large part of the current 'root' I am running.
since the latest stable, and now the 133 full, it seems like 5 or 6 times a day im getting LPP force closes. Anyone else getting this or know of a way to fix this? Could there be something Im doing to cause this? Just to clarify, it happens when trying to hit an icon, as well as when trying to close an app with the back button. In the past, I have hit the home button to exit out, but since made an attempt to change my habits, as it seems hitting home keeps the app running.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo i partitioned my SD card per the instructions listed on Flipz site and it was working flawlessly! I couldn't believe it! Then I had to reboot, and that's when the Force Closes started and the phone started dragging like a dog. I'm using a Class 2 card, so that may explain the lag, but why the FCs?
I'm hoping I'm still able to use Apps2SD successfully and that a wipe/restore will fix this, because there just isn't a lot of internal memory to play with.
Fresh 2.1 is out now though, so I may just say screw it and start new. I just don't want to have to set the phone up again and reinstall apps.
I have noticed several times that after updating an application in the Market, the app will never work again. This has happened with Pandora, Key Ring Finder, Audio Manager and countless other apps. With some other apps, after updating the application, it will work fine, but the name will change to something odd like com.chompsms.Well, i was reading through Key Ring Finder update and realized that something is occuring specifically with the HTC Hero that is causing this with application updates.But there is a ::drum roll please:: workaround! When updating an app, do not select the 'update' option! This is where the programs become corrupt. Instead, click 'uninstall', then reinstall the application. The freshly installed copy will work perfectly!

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I did the upgrade at home, no problem, then loaded My Back up from the market, and reloaded my apps and data from my SD card. I got all the way to load HTC home (109 items). At item 107, force closed pops up. Now when it goes to load the home page it's an endless cyle of forced closed.
Took it to the Sprint store, nothing they can do but reload the 2.1, come back in 2 hours . I do, go home and run threw all these steps again, but this time without loading the task killer app (store recomendation). Same results!
I have seen people complaining of the same issue, but I have yet to find a fix. I just flashed Fresh Hero 2.3.3 and every inbound call force closes. I came from a clean root, I flashed the stock RUU and rooted and then flashed Fresh. I have tried all the kernels they say fix this and none do. Any ideas? Or should I give up v2.3.3 and go back to Toast? Don't want to leave Fresh, it's the best ROM I have found yet!
View 22 Replies View RelatedI have had a Sprint HTC Hero for a while and I absolutely love it, but when my messages get over only a couple 100 or even less, I will be sending a message or reading one and the messages app will force close and then when I come back to my messages, they are all deleted. I also often have to restart the phone just to get the messages to work again. At first I just thought of this as a way the hero refreshes itself, but I have been missing things and losing messages all the time lately and it is bothering me.

Does it just show you the address or does it try to bring up maps or something like it to actually SHOW you the address? If so, that's why, because i removed all that garbage. Running Fresh 2.1.2.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have to say that this default Application is truly simple and easy to deal with, and that makes it all the more significant in my view. However, I am running into an odd problem, and I would like to see if anyone has had the same experience, and/or could offer their assistance in this matter.
I have linked all of my contacts to their FB profiles, and all seems to work extremely well. However, for reasons beyond my understanding, when I attempt to click on the "Album" icon (To view the photographs of a FB Friend), this App. always makes me go through a "Force Close". This ONLY happens with ONE of my contacts though, as with every other contact I still retain the ability to view their FB Photo Albums. I was thinking that the one contact in question here, possibly has too many photographs for this App. to handle(?), but I can get it to work on a very rare occasion despite such.
I would really like to hear from folks in regard to this issue, because it's puzzling, and somewhat irritating.
I have rebooted, and I have also taken the particular FB profile off of my contact list, and then re-applied it (All to no avail).

Just tried to delete a messages thread in the stock sms app that was 480 messages long. It was one thread of about 15 that were saved in my phone from people I communicate with on a regular basis. The phone froze up for about a minute, then message force closed. Opening up the messages app again reveals All of my threads have been wiped clean.

So when I start my droid eris up this is what I am getting. The phone gets no signal. When I start up the phone is asks me if I want to use "htc sense" or "home". I did download "91pandahome" and I guess also "home". I can't go to settings and turn on WiFi or mobile 3g. iIhave no cell signal.
I've been getting this error near constantly the past day whenever I hit the Home button, and when the ui is working it's extremely slow to switch between screens. I can get the error near 100% of the time by opening an applicatio, then hitting the Home button. Then HTC Sense closes, sits at "loading" for a bit, then the phone is back to normal, albeit slow, till the next time I hit Home.
I had been running a live wallpaper of the Earth rotating in the background, and notice it rotates fine for about 3 seconds, pauses, then starts again, so something is eating up the processor I'd think?
I've uninstalled all recently installed applications. Stopped the live wallpaper. Stopped Locale. Stopped background sync, then turned it back on. Installed a task killer to see if there's a common element (none). Tried leaving the battery out for a minute.
I recieved an error two days ago saying "out of disk space". After restoring my phone to factory the ability to receive MMS/SMS went kaput! Surprisingly I can send but not receive messages. I was on the phone with Sprint for hours with to technicians. One of the techs implied that some of the early batch of phones from Best Buy have this issue. This is just one of the techs viewpoint. I am going to swap the phone today and see if it resolves the issue. I switched to Sprint specifically for TEXT so this could be a deal breaker. More to follow.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently my Phonefusion voicemail stopped working. I don't think that it's related to the 2.1 update, because it was working fine until a few days ago. It seems that when people call me, after 4 or 5 rings, it goes to voicemail, but my voicemail greeting does not come on, and therefore people are not aware that their call is in voicemail. They just think that I've picked up. And then when I try to retrieve/listen to my voicemail, there is just this buzzing sound.
