I'm trying to see if anyone else is having this probem. After updating to 2.1, now my phone's screen automatically locks after every single phone call. This is very annoying as Now after each call, I must draw my code to unlock the screen...has anyone found out how to prevent this? I don't see a setting anywhere for it.

After playing pandora, slacker or using other data intensive apps the radio locks up. The up arrow just sticks and the only recourse is to restart the phone. Anyone else experiencing this? I did find if I turn off bluetooth and wifi(even though im not using it) it doesn't seem to happen nearly as often. Maybe its a heat issue?

So it boots up, and I start using it, browsing the internet, and suddenly, without warning, while my finger is on the screen scrolling, the phone locks up the screen. It did it several times more while I was using Google maps, and while I was browsing my gallery.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone a couple of days ago, and now all of a sudden my end button doesnt bring up the lock screen. it works fine for everything else but pressing it just brings it back to the home screen. is there any way to map it back? because i couldnt find it in the settings and i have turned my phone off multiple times but nothing works.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with the optical pad on my Moment and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for fixing it?
It seems to work fine when I boot the phone up. The problem seems to happen when the screen locks, I hit MENU to unlock and go back into the phone - that's when the pad will no longer scroll/move around to highlight different icons etc. It will generally stay like this until I shut down the phone and reboot.
Pressing down on the pad still seems to register though so that part works at least.
I'm just not sure what to do. If I take this phone back, it'll be my 5th phone in less than 30 days (it's been a different problem each time and 2 of the times was actually a Sprint rep telling me to take it back when nothing was wrong - like the battery metering issue).
Are other people having issues like this with the Moment or am I just getting a bad string of phones (well save 2 of them). Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated - I love this phone - provided that it will work the whole term of my contract.
My wife's phone can't get calls - it can get texts and data fine. At first, calls would go straight to voicemail, and now there is a message stating "The number or code you have dialed is incorrect". Nobody who has tried calling is marked "straight to voicemail", and I had a friend who is not on her contact list call her and he go the same thing. I rooted and removed some bloatware over a week ago, and had no problems. She had adialer installed, and removing that did nothing. I can make calls from her phone, although earlier she said she tried calling me (I was holding the phone because I just texted her to do it) and she said I went straight to voicemail. Sitting here, I called my phone and several other numbers with her phone with no problems.

Someone else who had an iPhone said they could do this. But the person with the Droid tested it, made a phone call and was not able to bring the browser up.
View 20 Replies View RelatedMy phone stopped working properly today, right after installing Astrid update(I don't think it's related but it's the only change of late). I'm getting no sound on calls. No ring, no voice, and nothing happens when I try to go to speaker, the button doesn't register to press even. I've tried pulling various apps and going into diagnostic mode. On speaker test diagnostics freezes up. I just got done doing a factory reset to no avail. I'm going to hit up the repair center tomorrow, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I'm browsing this forum fairly often and don't recall having seen the same problem although it's quite possible I've missed it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought an used Samsung Moment via Craiglist about 3 weeks ago. Initially, I had to wiggle my cable to get it charged. After few days, it was not charging nor communicating with my laptop via USB cable. Of course, the Craiglist seller was not willing help me.
After contacting Samsung, I had sent it in to be fixed since it was still under warranty. It just came back today with a note saying:
Your phone is damaged beyond economical repair in the form of a warped board, or missing or damaged components. The factory warranty has been voided.
I know that I can charge my battery via some kind of external batter charger that is around, but can I update my phone and/or root my phone without using USB cable? Can I use a bluetooth connection? If not any idea or suggestion?
anyone have this problem w/ the moment whereby your face touches the screen and causes accidentally pressed keys, things to move on screen, etc. associated w/ touching the screen? I think I remember this happening once or twice on the moment but admittedly, I don't use it much so not sure if the lock screen was on, screen was off, etc. Just looking to see if anyone if affected by this or if it's a known problem.

I have had to remove the battery to kill the phone and then restart it. When it has locked up it displays the following message. Activity Phone (in process com.Andriod.Phone) is not responding

Okay this is incredibly annoying. My Captivate locks while I am in a call. If I pull the phone away from my ear, the screen will stay blacked out until I press the power button. For a split second, the screen shows locked then automatically transitions to the phone UI. Even if I use speaker phone, the phone eventually locks and I must depress the power button to end the call or dial other numbers. Is this normal for this device? I previously owned the iPhone 3g and the screen would black out, but would come right back on when you moved the phone away from your face or if you just shook the phone a bit.

Can someone recommend a charger that works with the phone from a seller on ebay. I have the wall charger that comes with the phone I just wanted another one for the office and I don't want to pay the huge markup that sprint puts on them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI went in on Friday morning to the Sprint store and got the update for my Moment. I must say it fixed my key complaints. When I got back to my office (where I never got GPS reading before) it showed me on Google maps right where I was -Yeah! The lag in keystroke to letters appearing appears to be almost entirely gone. And Battery Life is really improved - to a crazy point (in a good way). I pulled it off the charger this morning, checked some scores today and then pretty much spent all evening downloading apps / playing games, etc and I was shocked when I got done - Still had about 70% battery life. Good job Sprint. I would have liked to have had this w/o going into the store, but it only took about 15 minutes and I have store close by, so no biggie.

Oddly, they don't seem to drop when I keep it on speakerphone and this doesn't seem to be an issue at all with incoming calls.Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?Also, I've found this doesn't seem to happen when I use the menu and go to a different screen while the call is connected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a contact setup and have enabled the option to have their calls go directly to voicemail. I've got every number I know for this person listed. Seems like that's all I really need to do. So why am I here watchinghearing my phone ring right now on my desk and yes it's from the contact in question? I mean we've all got at least 1 person that we just do NOT want to talk to when they call. I can deal with a voicemail and call them back when I'm ready. But when I reach for my ringing phone and I see that contact's name. all I can say is WTF?

I tried to send a text eariler and I got the message not sent error then I tried to make a phone call and it wouldent go through.. the call timer didn't even pop up. The odd thing is my internet works fine... I. Went back to factory settings via menu privacy reset and still no phone.

I just want my calls to my cell to go to my cell voicemail but I can not figure out how to deactivate whatever I've done. Can anyone help?
