When I'm trying to select more than 10 contacts to sens an SMS, it says that No more 10 contacts allowed. Does any one know how to fix this? Moreover, how can I send an SMS by just select the group and it insert all the contact of that group?

I have configured my Samsung Galaxy S using my normal Gmail account. This has helped me to sync the Google Contacts with my phone.
Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
In Google Contacts I've entered birthdays and subscribed to the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar in Google Calendar.They show up as intended in Google Calendar but in my phones calendar they're all listed twice. Unsubscribing from the contacts birthdays calendar makes both disappear, so they're not from some other calendar.Is this a bug in the Galaxy S calendar? Any solutions?

So here is my issue.I could swear that when I tapped on an email address for a contact inside Contacts, that a window would pop asking if I'd like to send a Gmail message or a Work Email message (these choices had the little Gmail and Work Email icons as well).About a day or two ago, this option no longer appears for me in Contacts. Instead, when tapping on an email address inside a contact, I am taken straight to the Welcome screen to setup up Moxier Mail, which I do not want to use.I would like to just use the native Gmail option. But now, it appears as though my Contact email addresses no longer connect to the option of sending via Gmail or Work Email

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't send or receive MMS on my new Galaxy S. I called Orange helpline and they talked me through set up - it worked for me to send one and receive one and then stopped working once I had switched the phone off (to recharge). The settings are still there although it will not let me select any other setting as there is only a green dot selection for one (there are three altogether - the manufactor one, one that was sent to me via SMS and a manual one). It is not possible to select any other one but settings on all three seem to be the same. When I receive one it just says 'downloading'. If you click on it it just tells you what sort of message it is and there are no other options. The problem is, if I type a really long text it converts to MMS which will then not send. So..I can't send or receive MMS's. Any suggestions?

I have tried a couple of free SMS tools from Android but they also stop at 1- in the group. Does anyone know of a group sms app that will allow it to send to about 40 people in one go?

2. I us aol mail and it is forwarded to gmail on the phone. Recently some email, addressed to my usual aol email address is sent to the phone's gmail but not to the aol email (so it is only on the phone as a gmail message and not to computer as an aol mail.
OK so i just got this phone a few days ago and now I cant send texts or make phone calls but I can do everything else like use the internet receive texts etc. I had another issue earlier today where my phone shut off randomly and wouldnt turn back on when i knew it ha almost full battery. I took out the battery the sim and then out them back in no luck eventually i took out the s pen and it worked. A few hour later i got home and tried to send and text and no luck. Ive tried everything i cleared the Google services framework cache and text message app cache Ive tried another texting app and even restored it to factory settings. still same issue. What i can do next. I'm on Verizon and bought the phone off amazon wireless.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung Fascinate obviously but I'm annoyed with one Android feature. I managed to get only my contacts to sync what I want (not e-mails). However, when I send text messages, the message contacts seems to all the e-mail addresses I've previously sent e-mails to.
Is there any way to get rid of that? And why the heck isn't it the same as my contacts?
What the solution is to be able to send and receive picture messages?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've had my Samsung galaxy s4 for a while, and I've never had a problem. But now, if I get a new text message, it doesn't ring or put the envelope in my notification bar. The only way to know is to go into my messages and see the new messages. I've resetted my messaging settings, but it still doesn't tell me that I have a text message. Other apps like Snapchat and Facebook notifications work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I decided to join the 21st Century so our grandchildren can text to us and we purchased two Samsung Galazy S4 on Verizon network These are our first smart phones. Neither phone is able to send or receive text messages. The phones spin for awhile and then finally displays a failure message. I read one suggestion to turn off WiFi but that didn't work. No other problems have been found so far.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSamsung Galaxy Nexus. I could send special characters (i.e: �, �, �, �, �, ect) in text messages. Then, it wouldn't anymore. I believe my phone updated to Jelly Bean before it stopped, so it may be connected to that. When I try to send a message with any type of special character in it, the message simply won't send. No matter if I use the messenger than came on the phone, or the one I installed (Handcent). I still get the message just not sending. It'll send once I take the characters out of the message, though. I can normally receive messages containing special characters, but they sometimes it shows up as squares.
Mostly, I want to know if I can fix it. I understand that it may be the update, which I'll have to wait out. Or that it could be the phone itself, which in that case I'd just have to wait till I can upgrade again. It's just very annoying not being able to send accents or special characters. Especially to my Spanish only speaking friends.
the default labels "Family", "Coworkers", "Friends" are not included on my Samsung Galaxy => couldn't sync at all. Is the same happen to other phones? / raymond
View 2 Replies View RelatedIve just received my new Galaxy S yesterday and I must say I am pretty thrilled. However I cannot send the same text message to all of my contacts. When I go above 10 it says it cant send to more than 10 contacts.
Is this problem related to
1. Samsung ?
2. Android ?
3. Or my Mobile Carrier....which is Optus in Australia.
Is there a way to delete all my SIM contacts at one go or synch these contacts with updated phone contacts?
I could only find a way to delete 1 contact at a time, that's cumbersome and time consuming.
My contacts have all been duplicated 10-15 times each.Account sync is off, though I did sync facebook, google + last.fm when I first got the phone - a few required linking.Not sure how to re-sync contacts, has anyone else had this problem?

As far as I can figure, Android allows you to group phone contacts but there is no option for grouping Google contacts, which most of my contacts are. Does anyone know a way to group Google contacts on the phone. I don't even care about making Groups on sync. I just want to group them now that they are on my phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had a Motorolla SLVR L7, now I've got my Galaxy S Captivate.I was able to get my contacts from the L7 onto the sim, and the Captivate seems to be reading the sim contacts just fine.I then imported from my Sim card onto my Captivate's internal memory.I had assumed that this would allow me to sync up those contacts into my Gmail, so that I can do manual backups and have a keyboard/mouse to manage them.Except they aren't being loaded into my gmail.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwell , finally made the switch and got an android phone , very happy with my galaxy s, apart from 1 major issue i can't get my phonebook/contacts to sync with my in car bluetooth system. I can make and receive calls faultlessly , but definately have to be able to access my contacts hands free. every time i try to re-pair it it offers an option to share contacts, but does not work once paired .Can anyone more technically savvy than myself offer any ideas / help , unless i can get this to work the phone will have to go back

I have previously used VcardIo to do this with no problems. However when I take the file into the Galaxy S it shows as being 0 k. Though it is on on the G2. I have tried various programs on Market but the all seem to do the same.
