I thought it was when you were on the web? Can you please let me know where is located, also do you all think is necessary to have that checked on for when apps are added to the phone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I use the facebook app to take photos and upload, they load fine. But I can't see the photos saved on the phone at all.
It seems like taking the photo via the facebook app does not save the photo to the sd card?
Anyone know if this is true or if the photos are saved somewhere on the phone?
Can't figure this one out. I have an SD card in the phone and pics loaded on it from my computer. No problem there.
PROBLEM: The pics I take WITH the phone camera just go somewhere IN the phone - NOT to my SD card. I can't find any option in the pics to "save to SD card" or anything like that. I had the phone updated the other day and it wiped all the pics I had taken with the phone - but not the SD ones. Now I have more photos and no way to save them to the SD card?
I bought an Android phone a couple of months ago, a Samsung Galaxy S, and it's been nothing but frustration. There's dozens of problems with the software/firmware and I was lied to by the network I bought it from. That and any attempt to buy a memory card for it yields a fake.I bought it to replace an aging old phone, and also to be an MP3 player.Allshare doesn't work. It will stream videos, but if I want to use to stream music it crashes each and every time without fail. It's as bad now as it was when I got it.It only has 16GB of memory, so it can't as it stands replace my MP3 player, I'll get a 32GB memory card for it sooner or later, and that will replace my 30GB MP3 player.I've tried 3 apps for playing music on it, the default one, Museek, and MixZing. They're all awful, and not designed with the way I play my files in mind. I sort them by file structure Artist/Album/files and I navigate to the files and expect to be able to play all. All three of those music players seem to want to use playlists. Are there any good music players I could get instead of them? I managed to delete all the MP3s on the phone half an hour ago when I tried to get the default music player to do anything like what I was trying to tell it.
I have a server set up in the house using Windows Home Server which has all the storage for the house on it. It can serve music pretty well - my main PC streams from it flawlessly with Foobar. My Android phone seems to have no way at all to do it short of Allshare, which is crap. I'm not interested in streaming it through Windows Media Player 12 which is what I'm forced to do with Allshare. If I could point the phone at a networked directory then that'd be fine... assuming there's a music player out there that actually works.Add to that the sheer stupidity of google calendar having no way to default to gmail calendar rather than the internal one on the phone, and no fix months later.I was going to have a bath tonight, and I thought I'd try again to get music working on the phone across the network. It's now 2 fucking hours later and I'm no further forward. The bath is cold though.
i have often experienced this issue. after dialing any phone number and trying to save that number from call log to existing contact it is not working. Means, it tries to open the contact but giving error. did any one has experienced this issue and like to hear your views or corrective measures.
View 1 Replies View Relatedcoming from a BB Curve, you can email yourself ring tones or email them to a friend from your device. I tried to email myself a ring tone on my Fascinate and it comes through, gives you the option to preview it, but no option to save it to the sd card. Does anyone know how to do this? I ask because I have friends that swap ring tones around and it is now impossible to do this for me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the forums. Just got a Samsung Moment and love it. Just switched from ATT to Sprint. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I want to be able to either save a text thread or be able to save them on the memory card to back them up. I have a single text thread that I need to keep that has over 400 texts in it. I would like to be able to forward them to my email address or put them on the memory card and save them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am very new to "Smartphones" and have just gotten a Samsung Galaxy S. Wondering if someone can advise me how do I turn off an application when I start it. For example if I start ThinkFree Office there is no option that I can find to turn it off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAll the specs posted on the blogs say the galaxy phones are "expandable to 32GB". Does this mean you can add 16GB card to get a total of 32GB, or that you can add 32GB for a total of 48GB? The way it's been worded on all the sites I get the impression that the max SD card you can put in is 16GB but that seems silly. Can anyone confirm? I'm looking at the US versions, most likely the AT&T Captivate.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWell for me Android really fell off the edge of a cliff in the last 6mts as a "single platform across all devices". Anyway whilst we whinge in other threads and some kind souls try and fix it I thought might be good to have a thread for Apps which DO work well in Android after all wherever we are or aren't in the development curve the user experience can be really transformed by a neat App. As well as the old favorites I came across recently:
[1.5/K4] Speaker Shake really neat you pick up the phone shake it and it answers a call with the speaker phone on Dolphin Browser - haven't succeed out the really neat gesture controls yet but do like how it downloads you tubes no prob for viewing when off line.
Hi, I am new to this forum. I can assume this question was asked earlier. Can someone explain how to make Java applications run in my Galaxy S?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using JPA/JPP/JP4 with voodoo lagfix 5 pre6 for a few days now, and it's been working great... except for one thing. There is no lag while opening applications and stuff, but there is some stuttering while scrolling left/right on home screen, or up/down in menu... it's hardly noticeable, but still annoys me. Quadrant is giving me the same results as when i first flashed voodoo. Noticed one thing also, when i scroll down my notification bar it just doesn't drop as smooth as it was before, but just hangs at some point and then continues. I really can notice even a slightest change in performance, and i read that using voodoo wont cause any performance degradation.
Should i reflash my stock kernel and flash voodoo snapshot?

Just wondering I have the above phone, and ever since I bought it, I cant seem to configure my personal hotspot SSID and passcode, without it defaulting back to AndroidAP and default passcode I enter in my desired SSID and passode, click save, and if I go to conect on laptop it will come up ok, but only that one time. If I literally go straight back into the configuration of wifi hotspot, it has defaulted back to AndroidAP
On my 2nd Android phone now, as I've just upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S from my previous HTC Hero. Love the Galaxy S to bits, but was wondering what I do about some of the old apps on my old phone? Like World War for example, is there anyway of continuing the account on the new phone? Or do I have to start a new game?
Also, the HTC had a really good weather widget where it used to auto update with weather about the location you were currently at. I think it was a HTC thing, as I can't find anything that does the same as this for the Samsung, you can only store certain locations.
I'm a newbie on smartfones and had spent a few days adding useful apps to my Galaxy S. File management and, file transfer applications to wireless link to my laptop followed by the transfer of all my work presentations (powerpoint) and lecture notes. All worked fine until today. Now, my device seems to have lost all the downloaded and installed apps (leaving gaps on the desktop). It has also discarded the image I had chosen for my screen background, and I can't see an icon to go to the Android store. Finally: on one of the screens I have the message "Problem loading widget". That might be connected to the problem that Android Market has completely disappeared. How do I get that back!! It's important. My transferred files are still sitting in folders in DCIM so that's good. but none of the special applications are visible. Can someone give an opinion on this. Has something taken place online with Samsung that has put my system back to its out-of-box state.
