how do you remove widgets / app icons from the home screen? I know how to add them but haven't seen anything about removing them. I don't want to uninstall the app, just remove the widget

View 3 Replies View RelatedI loaded a wallpaper into the DCIM folder on the internal memory and after disconnecting from the computer, I changed the home screen wallpaper to this picture. (the one of the predator and alien playing chess).Now all 7 home screens are completely blank. No widgets or icons. Somehow everything on the home screens has been wiped. I removed the picture from the internal memory folder.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.

Recently I installed BHMAN's 1.6 ROM without TW, and I'm having a problem where sometimes my clock widgets stop refreshing the time.
Now i've searched for this problem and usually the best solution to this is to delete any task managers installed, which I cannot because the task manager is embedded into Home++, so I'm thinking the only way to get rid of the task manager is to delete the whole Home++, correct? I'm using ADW launcher at the moment.
I know how to Hold down an icon and drag it into the trash but how do i delete it from the menu because it is getting way to cluttered and i have to many apps on the menu screen i would still like to keep the app but just remove it from the menu screen.

I downloaded a couple widgets from HTC this evening. They show up in the widget list but wont load to home screen. Instead when I select them I am taken to a screen with uninstall and details as choices. Usually if I tap the widgets they are placed on a home screen where they can be launched.

Is there another way - eg some settings menus somewhere or maybe a file that I can edit.
