Samsung Galaxy S :: Phone Have Text Reflow?
Jun 16, 2010Does the phone have text reflow?
View 2 RepliesDoes the phone have text reflow?
View 2 RepliesI've been testing a whole mess of different browsers, and so far, I've only found three that have dynamic text reflow (by which I mean the text resizes to whatever zoom level you choose): Opera Mobile, Opera Mini and UC Browser, and UC Browser's text reflow is somewhat glitchy and unreliable. Not even Opera Beta has the text reflow.
I'm also aware some browsers have the double-tap after zoom to reflow the text, but I find that generally rather unreliable, too; it sometimes zooms out instead of reflowing.
Why is this? Is there a technical limitation with doing this in Webkit, that Presto made easy or something? Am I wasting my time trying to hunt down a new browser with dynamic text reflow? (Opera Mobile is starting to drag a bit.)
I can't receive text messages on my samsung galaxy phone
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my Samsung Galaxy S and im wondering how i can start a new conversation thread. Ive downloaded handcent sms but i just cant figure it out.
I am receiving alot of messages off my other half and like to keep some but i don't want to have to keep going back to a 121 message thread. can i not have 2 or 3 threads from the same contact?
When connecting my Galaxy-S to the Samsung Kies software, my telephone shows up with an incorrect telephone number. I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted. How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number? In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown. When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe messaging process froze when I tried to read a text using Social Hub. A force close didn't seem to make any difference clicked back to the home screen, powered off, waited a minute and restarted.Everything started up fine. Went back to Social Hub only to find that ALL my text threads are gone.E-mails are fine, but all my texts are gone.I know there is no way to undelete text messages, but technically I didn't delete them. They must be stored somewhere. Is they anyway to retrieve them or has the system "deleted" them? Only had the phone just over a month *sobs* - I got rid of my iPhone (which successfully kept every message ever despite several crashes)
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I have this annoyance on the S4 that occurs whenever I use the in-built Gallery and Internet app. Whenever I select a photo to delete, the phone goes "Tick box, ticked." Or when I unelected a photo, "Tick box, unticked." Another example of this is when I go onto the Internet on the phone, and I go to a webpage, the phone goes "Page, refreshed." I've tried to turn everything associated with this problem, off but it just keeps re-occurring. How to turn this off.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy wife has noticed that when she does a text message, once it has gone over a certain character limit (which seems to be about 50 characters), when she hits send a message comes up saying 'Converting to MMS' (or something like that). On all our other phones, if you do a long text like this it just sends the message as mutliple texts instead of converting to mms.
What this means is that as it goes as mms instead of a text message, she gets charged for it (she gets unlimted texts on her plan, but this doesnt include mms).
Is this normal with the SGS, or is there a way to stop it converting to mms?
Every time i try to access adb shell on my galaxo 1.6.3.2 i get the strange garbled text:
CODE:.........
I am trying to find a way to stop text history being stored in the history screen not in the actual text message screen, anyone found a way to do this? I know I can untick boses but everytime you go out of the history screen and back in the blooming boxes are ticked again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast year when I was living in South Korea I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I had no problems with it but since i've been back in the UK every time I text it converts my message into a MMS even though i'm only sending about 80 characters. It's really annoying and means I can only send a few words on each text hah
I've read up online and ive tried downloading some SMS apps such as handcent etc but nothing is working I can't afford to buy a new phone currently, desperately trying to fix this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to know if there's any way to edit the Text by 'dragging' the cursor to the letter you want, rather than switching to the Swype-Edit screen and using the arrows there? Something like what's present on the iPhone(magnifies the text as you drag your finger to move the cursor along).
Just wondering how easy it is to read text from webpages on the screen?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my Samsung Galaxy Precedent last week, and after some bumps trying to get used to this, I've been able to fix most problems I've had, except with images in texts.
I can send or attach messages to texts, but I don't get any images being sent to me. The Precedent runs on Straight Talk's network, and has "unlimited" talk, text and data. It's letting me send as far as I know, but I can't get any incoming pics in texts.
I've had my Samsung galaxy s4 for a while, and I've never had a problem. But now, if I get a new text message, it doesn't ring or put the envelope in my notification bar. The only way to know is to go into my messages and see the new messages. I've resetted my messaging settings, but it still doesn't tell me that I have a text message. Other apps like Snapchat and Facebook notifications work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (4G). In the email application (standard) it seems to store all of the email addresses from emails I've received, even SPAM emails.
Now when I send an email and enter the "to" field, it suggests these email addresses. How do I clear out all of these stored suggestive email addresses from my phone? None of them are in my contacts lists.
Im using just normal pop email and the standard email app. I've tried cleaners, clearing cache, deleting email accounts - everything.
I have full bars of servive, I can recieve txt messages but I can't send!! I have the Samsung Galaxy SII white phone.
