The last 2 weeks, suddenly my emailaccounts were totally erased. One of them is Echange and the other one POP.
After installing them again there seems to be some content of the old accounts.

Three times now I have had to re-establish my email accounts on this phone, any clue as to why they would spontaneously disappear?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy boyfriend has two email accounts on his phone. He wants to backup his personal contacts to his personal account and his more important contacts to his other account. When he tried to do this it doubled the contacts on his phone. (Basically went from 50 contacts to 100 contacts).
Is there any possible way of doing this?
I am syncing my Facebook calendar with the one on my Galaxy S. There is an event that I was invited to 29jul-28Aug that won't go away from my calendar though! I have declined it and also marked in the calendar that declined events should be hidden. Yet it is still there and the only way I can hide it is to leave out Facebook events all together.

View 6 Replies View RelatedContacts on my Samsung GS4 disappear all of the time. I have a 6,500 person address book synced to Google Contacts. After a few hours, my contacts disappear. The only way to get them back is to clear the cache in Contacts and Contacts Storage and let the address book repopulate.

I moved from an iphone to android and so far the os does not seem as intuitive as the iphone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S3 & now I have upgraded to the new Samsung Galaxy S4 I can transfer everything from contacts to text messages to outlook calendars events. My problem is I can not for the life of me find any information on transferring my e mail accounts without imputing everything all over again which will take for ages so copy & paste affair to transfer all my e mail settings from pop settings and log in passwords as I have 7 e mail accounts that need transferred surely I am not going to have to do this manually which will take ages if it has to be done manually.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst, I'm sure some or all of these have been discussed in some way somewhere, but i've been searching and just haven't found any clear answers (probably because i'm a bad "searcher" not because they are not there)I COULD REALLY USE SOME UP TO DATE INFO ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: I just bought a Behold II and have been thoroughly frustrated by the following, any help is greatly appreciated:
1. Gmail - Like a lot of people I have several gmail accounts and use all of them very regularly for various reasons (business, personal, little league, etc.) With my blackberry and gmail app i was able to easily log in and out of all these accounts and stay on top of everything. Now I appear to be stuck with the first account i logged into/setup with no means of logging out and getting into another. I understand (now) that much of the OS revolves around syncing everything for productivity, but this is a REALLY BIG problem for me. If I can only use one email account this phone is definitely going back immediately. Is there a means of doing this? 1a. I really don't like the idea of anybody being able to pick up my phone and be able to immediately go through my email. If i can't log out how can i at least protect the email from access by others without having to set a password or sequence EVERY time i pick up and use the phone?
2. Without asking me, after logging into the afore mentioned gmail account the phone took all the contact information from that account and loaded it into CONTACTS. Because it's an account that i use for general use there was a lot of spam in there and various other email addresses that i don't care about and it grabbed them ALL - EVERYTHING. So now i have thousands of contacts that are just email addresses for every thing and everybody that i've ever communicated with over that email account. How can i get rid of all of these and make sure this doesn't happen again.
3. I had all my contancts on my blackberry stored on my SIM card, which is where i'd like them to stay, but it appears that contacts stored to SIM can only have one phone number attached to them so i can't add additional information like additional phone numbers, email addresses, notes, bday information, etc. Is this correct? do i have to copy all of these to the phone memory in order to use these contacts properly and take advantage of all the features? Again, i'm very sorry if i'm rehashing old wounds here, i'm just so thoroughly frustrated and since i run my business from this phone it's hurting me tremendously right now. If i need to return this and go back to blackberry i need to do it soon so i can get back to being productive.
I setup two IMAP email accounts and they are set to check email every 5 minutes but they do not auto check the email, I have to manually refresh and then if I check a message on my desktop, it doesn't sync back to the phone to show it's already been read.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just got the Galaxy S yesterday and so far I love it.But when I added my Google account for syncing purposes, it sync'd my contacts and calendar twice.It's really annoying.So I get 2 email notifications for the same email and I see 2 of the same entries in my calendar.When I go into SETTINGS -> Accounts, I see 2 Google accounts. One has the Google symbol in Blue, the other is in Black.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a work email account that is hosted by G mail. I access it though outlook 2007. I set that account up on my EVO with the I MAP settings. The email gets delivered to the phone but as soon as I send/receive in outlook, the emails on my phone disappear even if they have been opened. I want them to stay on m phone until i delete them. I do not like the email counter telling me how many unread messages I have. I have notifications turned off so I do not have anything showing up in my notification bar. Is there a way to disable to email counter?

1. Edit an existing contact...when I select "Done" the screen says "Saving" and then returns to the contact list - and the contact I edited is gone.
2. Create a new contact - enter name, address, phone, select Done, "Saving" message appears, return to contact list, and the contact is not in the list.
Looked under all variants of the name (first, last, etc.) and it's just not there.
I'm creating the contacts on my primary account.
I'm on 2.01, no rooting, using the built-in contact manager.
Does anyone know if you can buy a new back for the samsung galaxy s?

The regular I want notifications the other not. I have downloaded the yahoo app. Is there anyway to have two yahoo apps. The gmail is being used for important emails and the HTC mail is being used for work exchange mail so neither is available.

Maybe get my phone back to factory state if I want to? No, I didn't make a backup file. I now, stupid of me. But if anyone else did, in theory shouldn't it be possible for me just to download that file and then "restore" the phone back to factory state?

I'm trying to se up both my hotmail and yahoomail email accounts so as I can view my messages on my Desire but I'm not having any luck. When I go into Messages and enter my email and correct password I keep getting the message: 'Cannot connect to the mail server to verify your account information. So after about a month of waiting, I finally received my Incredible yesterday. i've been screwing off at work most of today messing with the phone. So far, everything is going well and I'm getting used to the software and functionality. I do have one thing that has me stumped though. I setup my personal hotmail email and my work email on the phone and they are both under the "mail" icon on the main screen. I'm wondering if there is a way to separate them so that I will basically have 2 "mail" icons on the main screen.

I used to be able to open the email app (using icon), then go to menu key/Email settings/Default email account and I could radio button between my two accounts, both were options (yahoo and outlook). My yahoo account is all set up correctly, and im getting notifications, but I cant toggle back and forth, because only one account is listed.
