I don't like Samsungs version of the lock-screen and would like to have the stock Android version where you can unlock and mute the device. Is it possible to change this with the Luncher Pro or any other program as well?

I recently got the M8 upgrading from the Galaxy Nexus. I am a design student, and I HATE, I mean HATE the current clock set up with that damn weather icon and how it all looks uneven. Are there any widgets/apps or anything which I can change this?

Is there anyway I can change my current clock or SOMETHING. I do know that I can add a new widget page and have a new clock, but I can't make this my default lockscreen. Sliding across on the lockscreen seems pointless to me - i want this visible when i double tap my phone.
Are there any themes available that change the default android 1.6 lock screen ? If so, what are they and how can I install them? I see the tutorial on how to install Galaxo, but nothing on them.

Has anyone been able to change there lock screen? I am wanting to take it back to the vanilla side slide with answer and mute or even the up and down slide like the HTC's have. Has anyone found an app worth having to do this? I have read about alot of the apps but they get a lot of mixed reviews that they only sometimes work or are bugged? Just wondering if anyone has been able to do this yet and what they used?

I am not ready to pay for a app yet. Still new to android. I like my homepage. I use fancywidgets and like the clock and weather and would like that on my lock screen so all I have to do is hit the power button and see the huge clock. I also don't want to have to swipe so far to unlock the screen. Can someone point me in the direction of a app to change my lock screen around? a free app for now.

It seems it may be APP related because when I KILL my apps with the Advanced Task Killer it doesn't happen as often.
ALL the Apps are the same Apps that were on my previous phone (Samsung Captivate) which never did this. There are no NEW Apps on this phone.
Software is current and up to date as it was downloaded within 5min after un-packaging the phone.

I trying to find a way to disable the lockscreen completly so I can use widget locker instead without having to swipe twice every time.
I have tried setting the standard lock screen to none but it still starts with the standard swipe lockscreen - I have also tried alot of different apps (noLock, no lock screen, etc) but none of them are able to disable the lockscreen.
I have also searched for solutions (here and a lot of other sites) but a lot of people suggest its a bug in os 4.3.
Running os 4.3 have succesfully been able to disable the standard lock screen.
I have a rooted samsung galaxy ace plus with GB 2.3.6, and i wanted to know how can you delete/disable/uninstall the default android lock screen(app), and set a 3rd party app as default lock screen app, i had tw launcher but switched to ADWLauncher ex currently and was trying to avoid installing another app like nolock etc

I was going to use some sort of film protector, such as Zagg invisible shield and a Flip Case. But the only flip case I can find for the Galaxy S looks horrid, and I am not sure on the texture of Zagg Invisible Shields.I have also considered silicone gel cases, but I am having trouble finding one that is nice, and pouches in combo with a screen protector.What would you use and if I did buy a screen protector, which brand should it be, I want one that will protect but with minimum difference to the feel or colour of the screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried the apps "Handcent" and "Sms Popup" and set them to automatically display a popup on the lock screen when there is a new sms (similiar to the iPhone).Both apps, however, only display the popup after the lock screen.I guess this has something to do with this "great" touchwiz overlay Samsung is using. 1. If I have pattern lock enabled in the settings, when I unlock from widgetlocker, the next screen is the stock lock screen then the pattern lock screen. If i disable the pattern lock, when I unlock widgetlocker the phone is unlocked and there is no stock lock screen.I want to have widgetlocker then pattern lock - NO stock lock please.
2. When I click on a widget on widgetlocker that opens up an app (example audio manager), the next screen is the stock lock screen then the app.Again i don't want to see the stock lock. I was hoping it would open the app, then once closed go back to widgetlocker lock screen.
3. When a call has ended, the phone goes to the stock lock screen. Again same problem.I thought the whole point of widget locker would replace the stock lock screen. But it pops up all over. Of tried my best with the settings,
The main one is with the pattern lock, vital for phone security. But i dont want to have two lock screens and a pattern lock.
i flashed to the stock vanilla lock screen and want to go back to the original sense one. anyone know how to get that back?

When I press the power button, the screen turns off, but when I press it again, it turns back on directly to the home screen. No more lock screen. I can also do this by pressing the trackball but not the 'call' button.At first though this was great, but I've pocket dialed 2 people already.I tinkered around in the settings but didn't find anything. Just wanted to know if I can freeze the app "HTC Lock Screen 1.00" If I should expect some force closes or the phone will explode. and if it by any chance brings back the stock lock screen. If not if it will run right away after defrosting.
I do know about widgetlocker, tried it didnt like and I dont wanna have a bigger app or service running for just locking.
I recently upgraded to the htc desire after I couldn't bare with samsungs (lack of) support any longer. I am still running drakaz' latest nightly on it but as I am trying to sell I believe it would be a wise thing to bring it back to factory conditions, software wise. Would anyone here be able to point me in the right direction for the Croatian ROM of the galaxy, or the latest update for it? I never ever done anything else but rooting and custom roms so I completely lost touch on which version was actually running on it.

It doesn't do that if i plug,it,in a computer usb, it doesn't,do that and charges normally. Is that a wide spread issue.

The only choices allowed for lock screen wallpaper are from my photo album, once I went to a configured theme/scene for the home screen. How can I get the stock wallpaper I use for the theme/scene I have to also be the wallpaper for the lock screen? It seems stuck on the photo I used and the only choices offered in the menu are from the photo album I made.
