So i just got my fascinate and my battery life is bad compared to my droid x. I'm rooted but when i try set cpu my phone freeze up and a battery pull has to be done. usually i have to charge my phone halfway through the day.. so is there any tips to help me out?

Is there a "reserver" on this battery? And what's the trick to getting the phone to charge to 100% and getting the most out of it?

View 25 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone and I am now having problems with mms pictures messages when I am on wifi. When I hit send, I see the 3g icon pop up but it never turns colors like data is actually being transfered then it goes away. When I look at the message details, it says status pending and it never sends. If I turn off wifi, it sends fine.

I noticed this today, I use my phone to USB tether, and after coming home from running errands today my phone was at about 80% battery life, so I put it on the USB cord that it came with and connected it to my computer so I could check email and facebook, etc. Well after a few hours I took my phone off the charger and the battery had dropped to 40%. How is this possible, I know tethering uses power from the phone, but if its connected to the computer and charging as well, why is it still draining my battery? my droid never had this problem and i tethered all the time, is it possible that I have a bad battery?

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to disable the charging completed sound? My wifes Fascinate uses the default notification sound once its done charging.. usually around 1-2am.. I suppose I can set the default sound to "none", but then I'd have to set all the other apps (vm, sms, etc).

View 49 Replies View RelatedAfter being a dedicated bb user, I recently switched to a droid. I'm completely satisfied, however, I have had a small issue with my lock/power button. I've only had the phone for two weeks, but my power/lock button seems to be "stuck". I can still push it, but it's not as "click able" as when I first purchased it. I wish I could explain it better. I actually went to verizon a few days ago, and they weren't much help. The tech actually sprayed some of that air in a can stuff, which temporarily made it better. However, it now seems stuck again. Has anyone had this problem? Sorry for being such a new b!

I turn it on and it says that its been granted superuser permissions but then no data moves up or down(or it'll say .4 down and .2 up) and no devices find it! I need help making this work because i'm going to buy the google tablet and just use this to power it WIFI.

Turned on Google Navigation and navigated home. GPS locked quickly, seemed accurate (within reason, maybe 25-50 feet) and gave perfect spoken turn-by turn directions. Woo hoo.
I am gonna download some things and play for a while, but my # 1 concern looks to be appeased right now.
Once a day my phone freezes to the point that the bottom buttons are non-responsive. The only fix is to reboot.Any ideas? There's no pattern - it can happen as I'm actively using the phone or as I start to use it after it's been idle for an hour.

If I just go to contacts and not select any particular contact and hit the ACTIVITIES tab then it works fine there and loads all recent posts by any of my Facebook friends. I want it to work on each individual contact as it's supposed to.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Fascinate for a week and am having some trouble - actually, lots of trouble with it. Any suggestions are welcome:
1. At night I close out all running programs except Zeam - which I'm using as a home replacement since LauncherPro doesn't play nicely with the Fascinate (too much lag). When I close down I have about 90% left on my battery, in the morning, the phone is dead, battery drained. I typically wake up to about 5 emails and no other notifications so it's not processing a ton of incoming data. I can plug it in at night, but the standby time is supposed to be 312 hours. Am I doing something wrong?
2. I can't get the camera app to close. I sometimes have to pull the battery in order to get it to close. I try hitting the home key and get no response, the back key yields nothing, and the power key won't turn it off. The camera remains functional as I try each of these keys. Even after hitting the power key I can immediately take a picture.
3. GPS won't get a lock. I know this is a known problem, but is it a problem on every device, or is it hit and miss?
I really love the Fascinate's form factor and gorgeous screen, but I'm struggling with whether or not to trade for the Droid X before my 30 days are up. The home key lights, lack of text editing assistance (via trackball, trackpad, or on screen software), lack of LED notification light, GPS issues, and lag are making me lean towards the X. I had an X when they first came out and I never quite got used to the size of it. It never felt comfortable in my hand. But the phone itself worked great. I'd prefer not to have to root my phone to get it to work properly.
I just rooted a few days ago. Put a custom ROM on it (KaosFroyo v38). Ever since I rooted my battery dyes in about 3 to 4 hours. My phone says its awake 99.9% and the android OS is using 40-50% battery. Is it possibly the ROM? If so how can I change to a new one? I have a Droid Eris.

After about a week with it, I'll say mine pretty much sucks! Its like its got worse! Seriously my evo and incredible both had better battery life. I tried going with out moving wallpaper today and it was about the same, example, left my house at about 10am this morning with a fully charged battery, with some moderate use I was down to 20 percent by 2:30? Not good in my book so far, so I'm wondering if I got a lemon? Also, Did anyone's phone come with the battery already installed inside the device? Mine did, and I've never seen that, the battery is usually in plastic wrap. Got it from a corporate store in NYC!

I've been pretty impressed with my Fascinate's battery life pre-update, but since applying the update 2 days ago I see a significant decrease in battery life. Just wondering if I am alone. Aside from the update, I have not changed anything else about my phone (no new widgets, no new running programs, never rooted).
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm noticing a bit of screen burn-in on my Fascinate, after having it for about 2 and a half monthes. What is burning in is the prompt that appears when my battery is done charging when I plug it in at night. For some reason, when this prompt appears, the screen won't timeout and turn off again, thus keeping the display on for hours after a charge is complete and burning that display in. Currently, it's a very dim burn-in that is only noticable on a completely white background, but it's frustrating nonetheless (and I assume irreversible.... please correct me if i am wrong though...So, i guess my questions are.Is there a setting that will force my display to time-out when plugged in? I haven't messed with too many of the default settings, so I assume this is default behavior of the phone to keep the display on when charging is complete.If not, is there a way around this, without rooting, that will protect my phone's screen from burning in, when this message appears?

Get in a car wreck and need to take some photos? oh no 15% battery because its the end of the day and you forgot your charger. Need to snap a pic of a deadly snake that just bit your dog to take with you to the vet's office? can't low battery. These 2 events happened to me (wasn't driving though).
