After getting so used to this on my incredible, its kind of a pain to have to use rom manager or voodoo toggle app to boot directly to recovery

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter being a dedicated bb user, I recently switched to a droid. I'm completely satisfied, however, I have had a small issue with my lock/power button. I've only had the phone for two weeks, but my power/lock button seems to be "stuck". I can still push it, but it's not as "click able" as when I first purchased it. I wish I could explain it better. I actually went to verizon a few days ago, and they weren't much help. The tech actually sprayed some of that air in a can stuff, which temporarily made it better. However, it now seems stuck again. Has anyone had this problem? Sorry for being such a new b!
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else annoyed by the fact that the volume and power buttons are positioned at the same level on opposite sides of the phone? When I try to hit the power button I usually hit the volume button as well because of the positioning so my ringer goes from vibrate to on or changes volume. The power button really should have been up top.

I tried to email myself a ring tone on my Fascinate and it comes through, gives you the option to preview it, but no option to save it to the sd card. Does anyone know how to do this? I ask because I have friends that swap ring tones around and it is now impossible to do this for me.

I also downloaded the free version of Boot Animation from the market. It too reports success but doesn't actually change the boot animation. Has anyone had any success changing their boot animation?

i tried to do the one click clock work mod on my samsung fascinate with the phoenix kernel on the root of the sd card. everything went succesful but whe it turned back on, it kept looping, first the samsung logo appeared than a samsung.com logo followed and just looped. i cant go to any menu... cant get into hard reset or anything else!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I was at work today browsing the market and suddenly my screen went black. I tried pressing the power button to wake it but got nothing. After a few minutes of waiting, I pulled the battery. The phone will boot past the "Samsung", "Galaxy S" and "Verizon" screens, but gets stuck on the Verizon one for a while then goes dark. The soft buttons on the bottom stay lit. That's it. I've probably done it 10-15 times through the evening now, and I get no farther.
I wasn't doing anything particularly taxing at the time, and I haven't added anything recently that would have caused a change in any system files. I'm running voodoo v.2 with the OCLF (because it won't uninstall) and all has been well for almost six weeks now... then all of a sudden this happens.
I'm thinking maybe I need to learn exactly what Odin is and how to use it, but any help that you can give would be great.
Here are a few tips with the Fascinate camera:
1. You can access Panorama mode from the Scene menu in the top left. With Panorama mode... you will be guided by a green box, when you get close to take the next snapshot, move very slowly... especially when the green box is almost centered on your screen. This will produce better pictures with less blur.
2. Turn on Anti-shake and Auto-contrast in the settings menu. Turn on Grid if you'd like extra help with taking better photos.
3. Long press the shutter button to auto focus before taking the photo. It's a two-stage button that will take a little bit to auto focus, but it's better than not doing it before taking a photo.
