Nov 9, 2009I cannot take credit for this as it's mentioned in multiple threads here, I would just like to bring it to the attention of anyone that doesn't already know.Disabling APN when not required has allowed my phone to run for 3 days and still be at 70% battery.To disable APN I installed the app WiSyncPlus from the app store.This app can be used for controlling network/data access on your phone in multiple ways, but all I use is the very simple APN toggle widget.I only toggle APN on when I require data access for web/email/market etc. then switch it straight back off. When APN is off you can still use the handset as an old school phone, for calls and texting, but not mms.There are multiple options in this app for controlling syncing etc. very much worth a look if you use your phone for email too.I also have my Samsung switchers widget app next to the APN widget, so if I have a wifi connection available I use this instead of enabling APN to surf the web etc.There is also a free app called APNDroid that can disable APN but I haven't tried this so can't comment on it's usability.

Jul 27, 2010Can anyone provide one of those developer codes everyone is using for the GPS, instead to change the Max earpiece volume in the phones ear speaker to a higher setting? I was in a loud setting today and I could barely her my conversations. I know this is possible because I did it like five years ago on a Motorola razor...surely this android phone can have volume algorithm changes also.

Jul 25, 2010I've been having an issue with area codes and text messaging. The contact's number is stored properly xxx-xxx-xxxx in the contacts. But when he sends a text, it only shows up as xxx-xxxx, so when I reply, of course, it won't send because Nebraska is now on mandatory 10 digit dialing. So then I have to compose a new message instead of just replying in the current thread.
I had this issue at first, but only with the numbers entered in as (xxx) xxx-xxxx. So I made sure to change every number to xxx-xxx-xxxx and it seemed to fix it for a while at least.
Samsung Galaxy S :: USSD Codes Not Running / Make Them Able?
Nov 9, 20101. I am not able to run USSD codes on my GalaxyS-I9000. Whenever I dial any USSD it says "USSD Code Running" and then it disappears, nothing happens after this.
2. Every time after I hung up a call in my old cell/any other cell it use to show the balance amount I have (prepaid card) and last call cost, but in my GalaxyS its not showing anything after the call.

Samsung Behold 2 :: Volume Codes - How To Make Negative Number?
Aug 2, 2010I am trying to increase my volume for the handset. I have the original factory codes set at:
0 = -16db
1 = -12db
2 = -8db
3 = -4db
4 = 0
5 = 4
When I go into the master settings to change the RX volume codes, I can not figure out how to make a negative number. Can someone help me get in the right direction to change the volume settings? My volume is so low, I can barely hear when on the phone.

Sep 9, 2010Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?
