View 4 RepliesI'm just starting to use the video camera in my vibrant. Overall the video quality is excellent but sometimes when I'm doing indoor shooting, the video has an orange color overlay. Occasionally this will correct itself to a nice natural color part way through the video. I was wondering if this might be due to some automatic color adjustment that I'm not aware of. Has anyone else run into a similar issue?
The HD videos from the phone play very poorly (slow, jerky) on every media player I've tried on my Windows XP computer including VLC and WMP with updated codecs. Converting the .3gp files to .mpg or .wmv format produces a low quality video.
I have a Samsung GS3, and I would like to use it to shoot some videos, but I find the mic on the phone to be inadequate for my needs.
The problem is, even when I have a bluetooth mic paired to the phone, the native video recording app still uses the phone's mic.
Am I missing something in a setting that would allow the bluetooth mic to be used in the native video recording app?
Or, is there another video recording app available that would let me use the bluetooth mic?
Is there any way to disable the volume control button as it works on the ringer volume? I use locale, but I bump those buttons often enough and turn the ringer off completely.

I found it when I held down settings in the samsung keypad. Now my frustrations of cursor control are null and void and I don't have to worry about swype getting my text spelling horribly wrong

View 4 Replies View RelatedOK, after being on the phone with AT&T for 2 hours and being conferenced call with Samsung this is the result:
Samsung claims that *3282# is the Samsung code to lower the notification volume.
Samsung claims that they are now aware that *3282# is the AT&T code to check our data usage.
Because of this conflict, they claim they will send an OTA fix; but will not state when that will be.
AT&T has been receiving many complaints regarding this problem. Samsung claims they have never heard of this before. Apparently they forgot to log in my call last week?
When I am talkingto someone on my phone the volume is all the way up, but seems very low. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my captivate 3 weeks ago from Amazon. It works well overall and I do enjoy a lot. Besides the GPS issue, low in-call volume bothers me all the time. Calls can only be heard clearly in a very quiet place, otherwise I need to keep saying sorry to people on the other end of line. I did search around the forum, no useful information on this subject can be found. So I am curious whether this issue only happens randomly on some handsets or it is a already solved issue which no one even bothers now?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo several times a day by Notification Volume goes way down. I want it to be as loud as possible so I slide the bar all the way to the right. A few hours later it is almost down to silent.
View 11 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed that their "System Volume" gets increased to max by itself?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm really not crazy about this phone after playing with it the other day at the at&t store. The earpiece speaker volume is VERY low. Reception drops like a cinder block, from holding it pretty much anywhere. Its pretty chuggy, and i'm not very confident about support from the community. that being said, there are a lot of nice things about the phone. Howerver, one thing it HAS to have, is HSUPA. I tried to do an upload test, but i couldnt find any sites that worked. And i didnt know if here was an app i could get, plus the market wasnt set up.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI always keep my system volume turned all the way down. I don't know why anyone would want their phone to make obnoxious sounds when turning off. When do most people turn their phones off? Church, movies, meetings, basically anytime you want it to be QUIET. Anyway, I digress.
Something keeps turning up my system volume. Often when my phone shuts down due to low battery I hear the stupid shutdown sound. I think it may also have happened a few times when powering the phone off manually. I am rooted and I know I could rename the files, but I am getting tired of working around the bugs on this thing and having to keep track of all the files I rename. I try to keep it as "stock" as possible.
Any ideas on what might be turning my system volume up?
I made the switch from a BB Bold 9000 to the Captivate last Friday and so far I am in love! There is just one issue that I would love to gloss over but it's important given that it is a phone so I'd like your input. There was one other thread on this that sounds kind of like what I'm experiencing but I just wanted to be sure before I go in and exchange it.
When I am on a call, it is rather difficult for me to hear the person on the other end. I have the volume turned all the way up but not only is that not that loud but they also sound muffled. If it were one or the other I might be able to deal, but I never had trouble hearing on my BlackBerry and I never had the volume turned all the way up. It's gotten to the point where I'm unknowingly pressing the phone against my ear really hard so I can hear better. Has anyone else noticed that callers sound muffled? Should I exchange it?
This is annoying the crapp out of me! When I receive an incoming call, my phone rings at low volume (custom mp3 ring tone) for about 2 to 3 seconds and THEN starts ringing on high volume. Is there any way to disable this dumb feature?
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy notification volume always seems to be adjusting by itself. How do you stop it? It can be my notification volume for gmail, text, meebo, or the notification volume in general. Is it something that I am doing that causes it to lower? or is there a way to lock the volume?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I find annoying about the Captivate is the separate volumes for rings and notifications. When I lower the volume with the volume rocker switch, it only lowers the ring volume. Is there a way to set a global volume so that changing the volume changes ALL volumes together?
View 6 Replies View RelatedVolume Buttons have stopped working. How annoying. Just got everything setup my invisible shield on. And I am going to have to get a new phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm on my htc evo and dont listen to music much with headphones. I'm on a trip this weekend so I brought headphones. I can not change the volume up or down, it is stuck about the middle. Also recently when I answer a phone call it uses speakerphone by default wether power is connected or not.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that when I text *3282# to check my data useage, the notification ringer gets switched to low and I have to go in to settings to change it back. Anyone else have this same issue?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a volume control application (or apps that work together) to
1) Change volumes, vibrate etc. at certain times
2) Lock the volume slider (I'm fed up constantly changing the ringer vol)
I have looked through loads of apps but haven't seen one that does both, and if I use 2 separate programs they fight with each other. I'd prefer one with a widget but not a deal breaker. I currently use Timeriffic for the volume settings/timing and Volume Locker for the locking.
I was wondering if there is a way of disabling the side volume control for the ringer volume because i keep hitting it when holding the phone and its starting to get annoying! Also is there a way to get a widget on the home screen to turn the 3G on and off there are ones for bluetooth and WiFi but not for 3G well not that I can find anyway!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to flash a new rom, i was using MIUI but my phone is now stuck on the torch screen (even after pulling batter, it goes right back to torch). My issue is that i can flash a new rom or load a nanodroid because my volume rocker does not work. I can get into CWM through the power options on the phone but i can navigate inside CWM.?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been searching for a way to control the volume of different apps independent of each other. As in those apps that don't have any in-app specific volume controls. The only thing I've found is that the native android OS doesn't support such a feature, but that information is old.
While this has bugged me a bit in the past, it's only now that I've started using Google Now that's it's become annoying. I'm occasionally playing a game that has no in-app sound control, and I don't like the music/effects of that game, so I turn the media volume down to mute. But when I then switch to Google Now, the voice is on the same "media" volume control, which in turn makes me miss the spoken answer to my inquiry.
I was just wondering if there was a way to control the volume for each application independently. For example I was using my droid for GPS navigation and music in my car the other day and kept getting shouted at by the navigation since the volume was turned up for the music. Needless to say it gets really annoying fast. This problem stems from the fact that all the apps have their volume control handled by the media volume control.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible (or is there an app available), to allow the volume up and down buttons to be used as a track changer if held down for more than a few seconds while playing a track when the phone is locked (similar to how some Sony Ericsson Cybershots work).
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody know of any app that will allow the headset volume control to work with the HTC inc? I just bought the Klipsch Image S4i headphones with the mic and remote. It was designed for the ipone but I thought it would work for this phone also. The pause and play work, and even answering the phone works. Although all of those are the same button.
I can skip forward, depending on the media player I am using, but the volume controls do not work. Does anybody know of any good apps that fix this problem? Maybe a iphone volume control app or something like it? I did find this app (Headset volume control): But it is $3, I don't know much about it and there isn't even any comments left by anyone.
I am looking for a sleek volume control widget that I can place on my WidgetLocker lock screen. The purpose would be to change the ringer volume quickly without having to unlock the phone first. I know that others have asked about volume control widgets, but the responses are not what. I don't want a widget that opens up a master control scheme. I am looking for a 4x1 widget that has a dozen or so tick-marks and you just hit the desired volume with your finger. Kind of like this:

I know there is an app like this for the iphone but have yet to find one on Android. Basically I am looking for am app that adjusts the volume of your phone based on how fast you are going. Similar to newer car stereos that go up and down based on your speed.
