I switched from an iPhone & love it so far but my only issue is when people call me my ringer is so low at the start then after about 5 seconds goes to the volume I have it set on... I looked all over the settings and theres nothing about ascending ringer checked or anything... this is just buggin' the heck out of me..

Does anyone have this problem where when I slightly pull my earphones out of the jack, the music from my sd card starts to play automatically? Is this a feature or do I need to bring it in to get fixed?

When I lower the volume with the volume rocker switch, it only lowers the ring volume. Is there a way to set a global volume so that changing the volume changes ALL volumes together?

I have noticed that when I text *3282# to check my data useage, the notification ringer gets switched to low and I have to go in to settings to change it back. Anyone else have this same issue?
View 15 Replies View RelatedGot my daughter the Samsung Epic this morning and grabbed a case and the home dock for it. Hate the fact that you have to remove the back of the case to plug it into the home dock and the fact that it sets the ringer volume to mute every time I plug it in, not to mention the fact that the external speaker option for the dock won't go active until the phone is updated to Android 2.2. Now that my mini rant is over, I do actually have a question, anyone know what you need to do to get the weather stuff to come up on the Desk Home screen when that software is active, I am having no luck at all. There is no option for it anywhere and the auto magic stuff must be broken. It clearly shows weather info available on all the pics and stuff Samsung has shown off and I would kind of like it to be there.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have loaded some of my own music to use as ringers, and they show up when selecting phone ringers and via contacts to select unique ringers for specific contacts, but they do NOT show up when I am trying to select the ringer to use for SMS messaging. Only the factory ringers show up for SMS. Any idea how to get my side loaded music to work as the SMS ringer?! I can't stand the factory ringers. This was so easy to do on my BB Curve and Palm Pixi, so I am baffled why I can't figure it out on my Moment.
View 11 Replies View RelatedOn my old flip phone when i got a call or text message with ringer on i could just hit the volume rocker and it shuts it up when i don't wanna take the call or message. On the moment i don't have that option. I have to hit end button, then menu, and then slide the notification bar down to shut it up. This be kind of annoying, especially when I'm in a meeting and forget to silence my phone before hand. There's a lot of times when i can't answer my phone and would love to reach in my pocket and hit volume button once to shut it up. So i guess what I'm asking is if there is a setting for this that i'm missing, or a different button that does the same.
View 21 Replies View RelatedOkay so i created a folder on my sd card called ringers, worked great for allowing me to use my mp3 files that i croped for my ringtones, however when the phone rings it doesnt ring at the desired volume from the begining, it vibrates only for 1 pulse then the volume slowly comes in from min to the desired level it is as if it is set to escalating. I have searched through all the settings but if there is a way to turn this off i have missed it. I know the mp3 file doesnt escalate because i use the same file on my moment and it rings at full volume from the beginning.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime my phone connects with my car stereo (Clarion FB275btb) it starts to stream music. It even tries to stream if the music player is closed. After I stop the music and and put the stereo into another mode it works fine. If I later get a call it acts normally, but after I end the call it starts to stream music again! Any ideas on what the problem might be? My stereo worked fine with my behold I and nokia 5310.

It does it even though I restart and do a battery pull. I do have the desk cradle that I use. Has anyone seen this before, and is there a simple fix for it? thank you.
I noticed that when turning down the volume of the ringer with the volume rocker it doesn't automatically turn down the notification volume as well. Is there a way to set the volume rocker to adjust both notification and ringer volume to the same level? You can test this by going under Settings/Sound and Display/Ringer Volume...and try adjusting the volume with the rocker and it only adjust the Ringer Volume.

I was using simple free phone earlier which doesn't require data plan but after two weeks I bought samsung captivate, AT&T added $25 data plan. I got my phone from AT&T store where my friend works so he took my data plan out of the plan for now but he said they will find out and add into your plan again. Also, He said that they recognize by your IMEI number. My question is: Is there anyway I can change my IMEI number? I was thinking to use my simple free Nokia phone's IMEI number and use it for Samsung Captivate so AT&T thinks that I am using Nokia phone.

It happens at the top of the screen just to the right below the battery. It's a quick yellow glow then it disappears until my phone is locked then unlocked again. One of the updates had to do with my weather widget [Weather & toggle]. Anyone seen or heard of this?
