So has anyone had any problems receiving mms or picture messages from vzw phones?I currently have the HTC Aria, and I cant receive pictures from any VZW phone. There are many complaints of the same issue, so Im considering returning the Aria and getting a captivate. Im just worried it will be a little bit too big for m tastes.

I am wondering if anyone else is having problems with their Samsung Captivate sending picture messages. THEY WON'T send! This is the 2nd phone I've had because the other one was having "seizure like activity" and this is the new one I got yesterday and it STILL WILL NOT send picture messages. I tried directly from the pictur and also by creating a new message and attaching the file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone has the rooted 2.1 dd10 version or whichever and I am not receiving picture/video messages. I called Sprint and they said I was "in the red." We tried everything over the phone to try to get around the issue without having to reflash. Any other ideas? I tried pulling the battery for 2 minutes, changing the MSID number.The MSID number won't stay.It goes back to 0000000. Any other ideas or is reflashing the way to go?

View 24 Replies View RelatedSo I just got off a half hour conversation with AT&T and We cant figure out for the life of the phone, why MMS messages cannot be sent. Although, when they did send me a small AT&T logo I did receive it. And When I sent that to myself, it did send and I received it again. I then took out my SIM and put it in my BlackBerry 9700 and MMS sent find and received fine. Any size picture. I then took a picture with the camera on the Captive in Fine, Normal and Super Fine. And each picture I tried to send to myself. Each said Compressing picture and when I go to send it, it stays on sending. That guy got so fed up he told me to Google it lol. So I did, and I see some others are having the same issue.

1)Has anyone found a way to change which picture is displayed for a linked contact? On the HTC Aria, you could choose whether you wanted the picture from Gmail or the one from Facebook.
2)Has anyone found a way to change the displayed name in Contacts. Again, on the HTC Aria, you could pick whether to display the name from your Gmail contact or the one from the Facebook contact.

View 22 Replies View RelatedGuy at att store put my sim card in from my iphone 3g and none of my contacts showed up, he played around with it and got it. but when i wanted to go add a picture to the contacts it wouldn't allow me. i took the picture, went to set as, clicked contacts and then none of my contacts were there. View 1 Replies View RelatedI was taking a picture with my phone a little bit ago, and my phone locked up. None of the buttons would work and I couldn't hold power button down or nothing. So I pulled my battery out, let it sit for about 5min and put it back in. Now it's been about 10min and still on the "AT&T World Phone" screen. I'm going to just leave it on that screen and hope the battery dies all the way soon, then hook it up to the wall and see if it will turn on. I know the iphone has a way where you can reset a phone if it locks up, and of course i have my numbers backed up to my google account so I'm not worried about that. Don't really care about the videos/pictures I have on ther ebecause I typicall upload to youtube/flickr right after I take them.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen receiving pictures through gmail (I simply use the gmail app) they don't automatically appear in the email, like it does on my girlfriends Captivate through the gmail app. She didn't do anything special, just set up email and when she receives pics when she opens the email they're just there. Now there is the download and preview button next to the attachments but when I hit those my phone just says "fetching attachment, please wait". I've left my phone for at least 5 minutes and it will just sit on that screen. On one pic I did let it sit for a few minutes, gave up waiting, but noticed the pic later in my dowloaded folder. But this is the only pic it's done that with. So I would a way to get the pics to just show up in my email when I open the email, or not have to wait minutes on end for a pic to maybe get downloaded. I feel like there should be some solution without me having to download some app, since my girl's phone can do it.

Ugly colors, minimal layout, contact picture too small, etc... So many other features on the phone are so polished, it just seems odd that the call screen would look so unfinished - it's almost looks like a development placeholder that they never got around to updating.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an issue on my new Captivate where the text messages don't appear in order. It seems it only sorts them by a minute time stamp versus seconds. It's not an issue if they are more than a minute apart, but if I get a text say at 4:30:01 and send a reply at 4:30:15 and get a reply back at 4:30:45, it will put my outgoing text on top followed by the 2 text I received below that. Where it should be received text, reply text, and receive text. Not sure if that made sense or not, but if you were to number them 1,2,3 in order of actual time, it's listing them in 2,1,3 order. It's not a huge deal but it's annoying to me. My iPhone did not do this. Is there a fix for this?
