Samsung Captivate :: Getting Movies And Tv

I am a former IPhone junkie who just switched to a Captivate. I am really enjoying the Captivate/Android experience. After a first gen Iphone, a 3G and a 3GS, I found the Iphone 4 to feel a little stale. The one thing I really enjoyed about the Iphone was the ease of getting media onto the phone. All I had to do to get a movie or a tv show onto the phone was connect the phone, hit the itunes store, and voila. I have not been able to figure out how to get movies, tv, etc. onto the Captivate.

What is the easiest way to get movies on my phone. Is thir an app in ghe market to download free movies? I need a way to get some until the netflix app is released. Thanks

I'm not sure if it's a bug or missing feature but I can't seem to play movies that are encoded in 5.1 sound. The Captivate will play high bitrate video fine and that is awesome, but it would be silly to expect someone to encode a movie in a high bitrate and only use a stereo track.

I bought the Hangover Special Edition which came with a digital copy of the movie. I installed the Warner Brothers program and got my copy of the movie, and placed on the phone. When I play it, it says I need to buy the license.

Hey I have recently upgraded from a hero to the Samsung Epic I would like to put some movies like I had on my old Ipod touch. I have no idea where to put movies at on the SD card or where to access them on my phone and any idea at all what format it needs to be in.

When I play Mp4 movies like "Goodfellas" on my Moment using the stock player they play fine BUT I cant find a way to make it truly a Full Screen it only shows about 75% screen with a small black border all around. is there a better APP to play FULLSCREEN Mp4's, media etc etc I can download or?

I was wondering if you guys have been able to watch movies on the fascinate? The one thing Samsung is doing, is the media hub which allows you to download movies to your galaxy s. Sadly android does not quite have that yet, you have to download, convert, transfer, so i was wondering if you guys had other options, or if you were excited for the media hub coming with froyo.

I am not able to view MP4, AVI movies i have on my phone (Transferred from my PC). What file types can Samsung I7500 play or is there anything i am not doing correctly? The file size is around 700 to 900 MB. I am able to view the video recorded using the same phone though. I have the original firmware on my phone that came with it.

Just got the vibrant a few days ago and I'll probably lose my job because I cant put the thing down, what a great phone. Now the question I see it comes with avatar, having sold that p.o.s. tmobile htc hd2 winmo 6.5, is there a way of finding the transformer movies to install on vibrant, or is that unethical?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (P3110). I had downloaded a few movies on it from Google Play store. Now I can't see any of them when I connect the Tab to my Mac using Android File Transfer. I can see the movie files are there in the Tab under Applications/Google Play Movies/SD Card. But I can't when I tether the Tab to my Mac.

A week ago i bought brand new samsung galaxy s duos 7562 from souq market in abu dhabi i am using it without any problem but when i play any 1280*720p video on its own player it says the video cannot be played and than i tried mx player 1.7.19 and 1.7.16 both are not working when i play video it shows a black screen and only plays audio and when i switch to SW Decoder it shows screen but did not plays smoothly.

Its a FREE PC program that will auto convert video to the correct codec & framerate of the Epic 4G (& other devices). The program also syncs music & pics as well. I have recently figured out how to watch movies on my samsung moment, but the problem lies with the fact that my SD card doesnt hold alot of them, Is it possible to hook up my external hard drive (western digital element i believe, its a flash hard drive) to my phone, to have a larger library of movies to watch?I figured at the least I would have to use a micro usb to mini usb.

I rooted my captivate thinking that i could install apps that are blocked on my phone, like Sirius XM, WiFI tethering.....even after rooting the programs are still being blocked and i cant install them. am i missing something? im new to android and had an iphone that i jail broke. im confused on what rooting actually.

I'm kind of new to Android. Only have had this phone for a few weeks,switched over from the iPhone. Anyway, I'm having trouble with Game boy emulators. I loved playing Pokemon on my jailbroken iPhone and would really love to enjoy it on my Captivate.

So I painfully watched my Cappy's battery door crushed under my friend's car as one of their "harmless" joke. Now there's not a single site on the internet selling these doors, and I'm desperate. I found dummy/display Captivates though, so I was just wondering if anyone knows if the dummy battery door can replace the REAL door by any chance?
