Anyone else try downloading the new Google Earth 1.1 on the market? It says on my Aria that it cannot be found... hrm. Try it for yourself and let me know, what you get.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Google Earth link successfully prior to it being available in the Market, and I've used it with no problem. After seeing it in the Market, I figured I'd go ahead and download the Market version, so I'd get updates. However, I can't get a successful download after 10 tries. It keeps saying application not signed, download unsuccessful. Do I need to uninstall my third party link off the phone first? Has anyone else had this problem? Would my current version of Google Earth get update notifications since it didn't come from the Market?

Well, apparently that causes one to not be able to download from the market. I can't even download Google Talk now to fix it. It keeps crashing when I try to download anything. I have Root Explorer and Astro but I don't think I backed up the Talk app. Am I screwed or is there some way to make this better?
I'm at a barns & noble and I can only load their website. when I click the "att wifi option" banner it does nothing, and yet I have no trouble with my laptop. Anyone else having same problem?

But there has to be an update for google maps by now.We are at 3.1.2 i think.When i search for google maps in the market, i get everything but google maps.I was trying to get infinity web browser as well, and this never shows up for me. But it is in the market.Just as Google's website says that google maps is on the market, and they dont offer a download.So, is sprint/Samsung blocking stuff in the market? do we have our own special market or something? I'm not seeing to many apps that say "must have root access" either.

Unless I root, which I don't really want to do, or get the official 2.2 update, which could take months and months given HTC's track record, I'm stuck with doing a spot of space management. I've got Google Earth installed and it's far and away the most resource hungry app (22MB) Despite the fact that I really like it, as it's a pretty cool app, I'm wondering if it's of any use at all. With google maps, places directory, Layar etc. I seem to have everything I need for navigation and generally 'finding stuff' I can't think of anything I actually need Google Earth for. Does anyone have a genuine use for this app, can it do anything that I can't do elsewhere? 22MB seems like a lot of valuable space for an app that's just there for novelty value.
