Jun 18, 2010Well I got my Aria yesterday and I have a question. I've tried loading Google Earth onto my phone, but it says its not compatible with my phone. I thought Google Earth worked on any Android phone with 2.1? Am I mistaken? Also, I can't for the life of me figure out how to manually update the Firmware, PRL, etc... like you can on the other Android phones.

Jun 1, 2010I am having problems when i recieve a photo in a text message, sometimes it will auto download but then it stops after a couple of days and i just get a message saying download unsuccessful. May 13, 2010I wanted to change the Google account that my phone was linked to, so I cleared the google app. Now when I try to sign in using my google account to link the phone with the phone (the new one or the old one) it asks for my login info, then says Signing in and says it may take up to 5 minutes. Then it gives me a message that says: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care." I have called customer care and they can't figure it out. They told me I need to go to a Sprint Store that does service, but there isn't one very close to me, so I'd rather not take half a day to drive there if I don't have to.
I have full bars and everything else works great. I can get my email, use the internet and do everything else that doesn't require the use of the google account. But I can't use the google mail feature or go to the Marketplace. I'm using 1.56.651.2 and haven't really done anything else to the phone as far as changing settings or rooting or anything.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Google Maps Reboots Phone
Jun 17, 2010So just starting like about a week ago, my phone will reboot if i go into google maps.I press google maps, press menu, then the screen goes to the white background with green htc, and reboots.This happens all the time without fail.This sucks cuz I use the google maps a lot as a traffic report and gps.This is not good.The hero has too many problems.I feel like nothing works properly on this phone.. anyone else have this problem? fix?

Oct 25, 2009A couple of times now I've had this problem on my Hero, and today it was a huge pain in the ass, as I was looking for the place I was headed to but couldn't find it.The problem is my Google Maps couldn't lock onto my signal it was jumping all over the state at first told me I was in Sacramento (one of the turn directions next to it had a misspelling "Socramento", wtf?), then Santa Rosa, then as I kept driving and pressing My Location, it switched to a random street about a mile away, then dumped me in the ocean.During this time, the GPS icon kept blinking and didn't stay solid. Also, once it picked up a location, it didn't continue to update it as it should do.I had to restart the phone and I think it's working OK now but this is at least the 2nd time it's happened to me.

I start saving them to phone instead of Google when giving the option, thinking i could just sync whenever i upgraded ROMS. I was wrong i lost some contacts, restoring older ROMS. So for future references I will save to google, I just want to know if the current contacts now can be saved to Google grouped or i have to go in and do them individually.
