From the debug statements we found that Network provider does seems to launch MASF client , Would some one explain me the basic sequence of initialization of Network service provider ? and if MASF client is not getting initialized do we need to do some settings. Apr 30, 2013We upgraded our android phones (LG Thrill and Inspire) to a different phone. The person in radio shack advised us to backup the contacts list to the SD card which we did. We got our new phones and when we came home we were not able to open the SD card on the computer (vista). Every time I plug the SD card via card reader the computer wants to format the card first, I followed the format instructions once and it error-ed out.
How can I open the contents of the SD card with a computer without using a cell phone? I just need the contacts list from it.All searches in google and youtube leads to using a cell phone which we don't have, or using some third party software which didn't work.

Samsung Captivate :: Mobile Network State Disconnected
Jul 30, 2010I have an AT&T Captivate and it has been working fine until yesterday. All of a sudden I can't connect to the internet and no 3G icon. I have restarted the phone, pulled the battery,put my sim card in my brothers captivate and it works fine on his. After the phone restarts the 3G icon will appear for maybe 1 minute and I connect for that short time then it disappears and no more 3G. If I switch to wifi I can connect just fine.

It recognizes the network but I can't use send/receive any data. My two laptops have no problem connecting to my network but I can't get my phone to. Additionally, my Wii has the same problem. It recognizes the network but can't do anything. Its probably a router problem but their support was useless, so I thought I would try here.

Oct 25, 2010So I got my Captivate this weekend, and have been using it on my WiFi at the apartment and everything is working fine. But today I went to work, and now any webpage I try to access just shows up as a blank white page with the words "Access Forbidden". Other apps work just fine, I just can't visit any webpages. I'm definitely connected to 3G, with a strong signal strength. I read in one thread that clearing APN proxy settings solved this problem for them, but I can't find any way to edit the APN settings on my phone (can only view them). I read another thread that this happens to people who switch over from an IPhone; only problem is, I've never owned an IPhone. I'm contemplating giving AT&T customer support a call, but wanted to check here first to see if anyone else is having this problem/has a fix. Here are my APN settings in case this clears anything up:

These are the default phone settings and it won't let me change any of them, although it will let me create a new APN and edit the settings of that. It seems odd that the default APN is Cingular...that is the service I had years ago, but it merged with AT&T a while back.

Nov 18, 2010At my college we have this annoying web based login and my android phone doesn't like it. It connects easily but when I go to either browser or opera mobile it doesn't load the login page the browser still thinks it has no connection. Is there anyway to approach this in a better way or bypass the login or at least save it to automatically do it each time.I need a wifi connection! every building has it. annoying this is once you move to a different building the settings are changed(probably because of the routers) and I have to redo it. of course it never works

This network requires a certificate to be installed on machine. As of now they have support for Windows PCs, MACs and iPhones. Is there any way I can access this wireless network through my Android based phone?

I get the message "Sorry 'Appname' is stopped unexpectedly. Try again".I might have to search the solution elsewhere, i added permissions for network, run the application and got the same error but when i tried to start it from the menu it said application not installed.
Samsung Captivate :: Email Client Won't Auto Check Email
Jul 25, 2010Does anyone else have the same problem? When I use the default email client from captivate, even when I set the checking period as every 10mins, I won't get new emails unless I open the app and manually refresh, well, except the one of gmail. This happens on my yahoo email, hotmail and my school email, which all worked fine on my old iphone. People have talked about yahoo mails won't be accessible through wifi from Android, which happens on mine too. But even when I was at 3G, the email client won't auto check it either. I have tried K9 email client, it doesn't work either. The only thing I find work is the MailDriod, but the function of this app is very limited, it won't even open attachments by default. Does anyone else here have the same problem, or maybe an idea to fix the default email client?Also, I find when I use the ear set make calls, when I try to click the button on the ear set, it won't hang up the call as my iphone would. Is this a bug or just something Andriod can't do? The button on the ear set seems quite useless with Captivate, it can only control to play or pause by single click when play music, won't do song change when doule click it.
