Is there anything like itunes that will integrate with my cappy? I really want to setup nice music libaries and have a backup system going where i can take files on and off the cappy without loseing them on the computer side. Does anything do this?

I downloaded a blu ray rip of super bad in 720p. total file size is 4.7gbs. For some reason windows will not let me sync the file through media player or drag and drop.when I drag and drop it just says "windows explorer failed blah blah" and automatically closes.I have .mkv codecs on my computer, the files play seamlessly.Is it because the file size is too big?any ideas?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to pick up a Captivate in the next couple days out of contract, hoping an Android phone will give me better Google Apps Premier integration compared to my BB 9700. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info on Premier users and Android phones, but I'm trying to figure out if the 2 really play well with each other or not. Does anyone here have any experience with this? I've read on a few places that the only way people are getting good integration between phone and Premier is when they use their Premier email to initially set up their phone (which would then become the account holding Marketplace purchases). I don't want to do this since my Premier email is my work email, and I don't want to tie personal purchases (apps in the marketplace) to a work email address I won't own forever.
Has anyone successfully added their Premier email account After they've configured their phone with a default email account? (if that makes any sense). Ideally, I'd like to have my Captivate set up with my personal gmail account by default. Then I'd like to set up my work email (Premier). I'm hoping that if I do this, I'd have my calendar and contacts syncing to my phone from BOTH my personal and work email. Is this something that seems viable? I started looking into Android phones thinking Google Phone to Google Mail would have flawless integration, but haven't found any evidence of that so far.
I am searching a music player for my android phone. I am looking for a feature where the application will post the song which I am listening on my Facebook account, with the album art of that same song.
I tried with PlayerPro, but it doesnt post the album art. Only the title of the song is diaplayed when I share on Facebook.

I had Pandora playing and then I clicked the headset button and got the music player going along with Pandora and dropped a call. I would consider that some serious software rule conflicts.

I used to use the Double twist player with double twist installed on my mac to sync with iTunes. works pretty well, just wish it had landscape on the device. then i heard about WinAmp being on the android so i switched to that. better device playlist management, plus it still works with the double twist files so i can still sync with double twist on my mac.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI'm afraid to root my phone and I understand that's the only way to get rid of the default music app on my captivate. If I can't get rid of it, is there a way to make it a lame duck and set another player as my default player.
Here's why:
I recently installed Playerpro which has all the features I need in a music player but when I press the headset buttons (which I need for my daily walks) it automatically starts my default music player, which I never use. Granted this may be in an issue with the app as Mixzing and others don't have this issue but is there anyway to set defaults on my droid.
I am using WMP to sync pics, vids and music to the phone and noticed that the album art looks horrible (low definition). I always added my own album art to iTunes and on the iPhone it looks clear and crisp. I figure that iTunes optimizes the photo for the iPhone but i'm trying to now optimize it for the Captivate and am running into a wall.Has anyone else experienced this and fixed the problem?

One of the best thing about the iPhone was that it was an ipod, a really great music player. Since I am new to Android, I am still learning how to use it.
I am using DoubleTwist to sync my music to the phone. I was able to import all my info from Itunes over to DT, but the problem was syncing it to the phone. I am not able to sync my playlist to the phone. I am able to sync the music itself but when I try to play it on my phone it is a mess. Is it possible to get my playlist to sync with this phone?
I know that this has already come up but I am new to the forum and I just bought my captivate. I had problems with my PC (Vista) recognizing the phone but now it seems to be working but I don't know if I should just drag and drop my music files to the droid or if I need to use a program to sync it. I have media money but it doesn't seem to be syncing up with my phone. I also would like to know if there is an app that would work better then the AT&T music player which I have read sucks.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi just got a samsung captivate love the phone but am having a couple problems my daughter sent me some ringtones via bluetooth and the rt came in a folder from her samsung impression i moved the music into my music folder out of the bluetooth folder however the empty folders that the music came in are still there. i have attempted the long hold on them to delete them but after about 2 minutes nothing happens. does anyone know how to delete these empty folders?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cant get my music player to shut down. This happens periodically and it gets really annoying (and embarrassing when Im in class). I searched and read the only way to shut it down is to use the exit/return at the full screen music player and then go to your app killer. Even if I follow these steps and then unplug my headphones the music player will usually 'turn back on' and start playing music at full blast out of my speaker..How can I kill this thing once and for good? btw im using advanced task killer.

returned my first Cappy today, for a plethora of reasons (Battery, GPS incredibly unsnappy 1ghz processor that my previous iphone 4 crushed) among others. But this one seems to be a happy and healthy cappy so far. Anyway, running in to an issue. I have all of my music in itunes, but converted it and just housed it in windows media player when i took my iphone back and got the captivate. When I put my music on the captivate, I get all kinds of crazy file names, numbers, squiggles and the like. It's showing me the actual file and not what I've tagged it as, so I have very few artwork, cd names, and track names there. I've tried to sync music 2 ways:
1) Hook cappy up to pc under media player mode and sync through windows media player
2) sync with itunes agent
Both methods got the same results. I like my music libary to be smooth and organized, but i can't figure out how to change the files names to what I want! Should i get mp3 tagging software? if so, which kind? Can I just change the name in windows? It's kind of making miss my iphone!
I thought I had this figured out when I took Weather and Toggle off the phone, but now I'm still having trouble with some stutter and skip with the music players I've tried. I've been using Mixzing recently and I've upped the buffer as high as it can go and still some skipping.
Anyone else having this problem/find a solution/have an idea what's causing it. I use the phone more for music than I do as a phone and this is really bugging me. Never had this problem with my *ahem* iPhone.
I was having a bunch of trouble when listening to the music player where every so often the thing would stutter while in playback. I was getting pissed and thinking I was going to have to take the Captivate back, but tonight as I was fooling around with launcher pro and listening to tunes i noticed that the hiccup came every time the clock widget changed minutes (Weather and Toggle). I deleted the widget and low and behold, stuttering gone.
