Is there a way to disable that stupid button? I hate the location of it. Also, is there some kind of slide-to-unlock feature for these phones? I know we have the slide security pad thing, but I was wondering more along the lines of the iPhone and Droid... slide a button across the screen to unlock.

Strange thing happened.When I try to disable the cammera button ( Galaxo+ settings ) it doesn't work.In fact all it will do is force close on me. Everything else in 1.6.3.3 seems to be behaving quite well for me, even taking pictures.Haven't had the pixelated or no image thing at all.Is there something I am missing that I could try ?

View 15 Replies View RelatedOn the behold 2 there is no light when in the video mode like with the regular behold. Sometimes I would like to shoot videos of the kids outside at night but the lighting is bad. I downloaded momentflash and love it. I used that while video recording it worked great. My only concern is the warning with momentflash that says
"overuse of the flash may damage it especially in bright mode" Is there anything that can be done to have a light when recording? Or to dim the light a bit?
I dont know if its just my handset or some bug but the camera sucks for a 5mp phone. I have seen 2mp phones which take better pictures. Is there any app to fix this? Can i expect an improvement in android 2.0?

2. holding down the menu button still doesnt do anything
3. when you're charging your phone it doesnt show the percentage
4. cant uninstall where's waldo and midnight bowling.
5. sometimes you have to push the actual unlock button for the screen to turn on instead of any of the buttons (i do this to check the time)
never had the SD card or vibrating problems so i dunno if they got completely fixed.
I upgraded to r7 and its amazing fast.Only problem i have w it is the stock camera looses the zoom function.Is there an ap out that might fix this.

This button's placement is absolutely perfect for accidentally pushing it with your thumb or fingers when you're on a call, or when holding the phone in either portrait or landscape mode. View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought the Samsung Behold 2 and installed the Behold 2 1.6 No Twiz from this forum and so far I'm loving it! Much faster than the stock rom. Now the only problem I have is that when I use an app with ads, such as Alarm Clock Plus V2, I get this "Subscription Upgrade Required" page from my browser since I don't have a data plan. I really don't need a data plan since I just connect through Wi-fi to download all necessary apps/games from the market and use the web. So my question is, is it possible to disable these notifiers? I mean, if I'm connected through Wi-fi I don't get these notifiers, but that's not always the case.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed while trying to put my phone into download mode that my camera button appears to be remapped or buggered in some way. The phone would simply never go into download mode (vol down/camera/end) and would, instead, just boot up like normal. I thought that the battery was too low or something of that sort, so I let the phone boot up and just tried to use each button to see how they would go. Volume down and end worked fine, but when I push camera, instead of actually taking a picture, the camera button seems to:
1) Adjust the volume up and down
2) Go to my contacts list
3) Dial the contact at the top of the list
While I'm sure I could talk to my local Mazda dealer about _something_, I can actually call them on my own just fine without the help of my camera button. But, what's worse is that I'm sure the camera button's remapping (or whatever) is what's causing me difficulties getting this thing into download mode.
I don't have ChompSMS, never have, I do however have Handcent SMS downloaded but this isn't the app that opens when I press the camera button. It's the default messaging application. There is no setting for "shortcuts" or whatever has been created with my camera button.

Anyone got a slightly loose camera button? Mine rocks slightly top to bottom if you press on it at the edge. Works fine though, it's just a little annoying

I dropped my phone on its corner where the power button is but I don't think thats what the problem is. Anyhow, recently my power button responds but I have to really press it hard and it as though the button is jammed cause it doesn't depress as far.
My question is that is there a way to designate the camera button to become the power button? I know on some phones you can make different buttons do different things and I was curious if this was possible on the Droid.

View 13 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
After many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.
