Two things, please help! When I go to setup ADB, in the cmd dialog box it reads it as "Samsung T929" but doesn't show a specific serial number. Am I okay or is that bad? Then I get to the following line trying to root: data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh Then it tells me that it can't find that file or something. Any ideas?

The user guide says "the serial number is located on a nameplate inside the battery compartment". There's nothing under the compartment lid, but under the battery there is a "sticker" with many numbers but none of them say "serial number". The numbers I found under the battery and on the box are called "RS-SCK", "RS-KOI", "RS", "MEID - Hex", and "MEID - DEC". I would like to be able to generate unique serial numbers for each Android device for use in unlocking an application. How could I do this? EDIT: The reason is I want to revamp a paid application and provide users who have paid for the old version, which will have a different package name, a way to obtain the full version by downloading an unlikable free version of the application. I would push an update to the old version that would generate and display the code that they could enter to turn the Free version into a fully functional version.

I then tried to downgrade the phone installing the the Sprint RUU and when I tried to install the AndroidSDK drivers I can't get to see the Serial Number of my device when I search in the command bar (following the steps of the Unlock). 0 = -16db
1 = -12db
2 = -8db
3 = -4db
4 = 0
5 = 4
When I go into the master settings to change the RX volume codes, I can not figure out how to make a negative number. Can someone help me get in the right direction to change the volume settings? My volume is so low, I can barely hear when on the phone.

Since I'm still waiting on the Update myself, I've had a brief chat with my Source at Samsung & he confirmed there isn't nothing life chaning in the kernel regarding problems. All fixes was addressed mainly to the OS it's self.

I just got my Behold II with android 1.6 on it.
I don't understand what is root the phone , flash the phone using ODIN to save battery .
Also my phone rightnow when I check the battery information , it said " Android system 88% of battery" " Phone Standon 6% " , Is this because the new Android 1.6 making my battery drainning so fast because rightnow I am using with a little of playing around , WIFI , and then I turn off the WIFI again , the battery still didn't last for at least 24 hours . I didn't making too much calling also .
New to Android and new to this forum. I've converted from a blackberry and I can't tell you how much I love my Captivate. Well, enough of that :-) I have a few questions. I currently have my display set to time out after one minute. When I'm using the music player is there anyway to prevent the screen from locking. I have having to unlock it to switch tracks.
As a side, is there a way to change the locking system from a sliding pattern to a number code?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
After many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.
