I'm sorry if this is a nub question, but is there a leaked version of Swype for the BH2? I was under the impression it only works in 1.6, but who knows with what people are capable now days.

I've been using Take5 for quite awhile now; however, recently, I decided to flash to the official 1.6 OTA release just out of curiosity. After playing around with it for a little while, I decided to flash back to Take5 (because I missed having root and I really don't like TouchWiz). After flashing back to Take5, I noticed that my baseband was still the new one (T939UVJE2) and I thought to myself, alright I got the new baseband out of this. Anyways, on to Swype... The official 1.6 OTA release includes a newer version of Swype than Take5. Upon testing it, I found it to work a little better than the one in Take5 (slightly more accurate and a little faster). Could someone please send me the new version of the swype apk that's included in 1.6 OTA release?

View 2 Replies View RelatedGuys I found an awsome keyboard that I believe to be better than Swype.It's called ShapeWriter keyboard, let me know what you guys think.I thought I had found a new keyboard but apparently its been out for awhile! Although it has it advantages and disadvatages over swype, I still like it! Sorry for posting this in the "root" forum, lol I forgot about the regular forum!

Till then, I was wondering if anyone had the version of swype with all the languages, or a package to add certain languages? i have searched for a while, but cant seem to find the download anywhere.
I just got the email saying that there was an update for the swype beta. In order to update you have to uninstall the installer and the keyboard. I am on bhmans take 5 so i removed it from system/app and wiped the data then attempted to install it and it wont even open it just force closes constantly.

you need go to the Bootloader
1) let running the hboot
2)Connect the Usb
3) Press fastboot and wil change to fastboot USB
4) Run the .exe from PC
This is a confirmed fix from .3 to .6

it's possible to get a newer version of bluetooth into the leaked froyo rom... the one that is currently in the leaked rom doesn't work with wiimote.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had the Swype "Trial" for a while now, but have not used it. I decided to start using it just to give it another go. (After watching that guy crush the World Record for Texting using Swype). I long pressed for input method, selected swype, and attempted to use. I got a "Your trial has ended please upgrade your version of swype." I have looked everywhere and am not able to find a different version of the one that I have. I have tried another download of it and get the same result. Is there another version of it out there that I am not seeing or am I just stuck until they reopen beta or just release the app?

Everything installed fine, but nothing happens when I swype. Manually typing works but when I swype it just shows the line makes a noise and nothing happens.

View 49 Replies View RelatedEver since I installed the new version of Swype (i have an official version), I constantly get a pop up tips screen.It tells me how the word I just typed was replaced by an earlier word I just types, and tells me how to delete it.It comes up constantly! From swipe settings, I�ve disabled the enable tip indicator to no avail.Its really hampered my user experience.I also have the other issue people mentioned where i have to reboot my phone, because it stops "swyping".Surprising to me that an upgrade is actually a downgrade.

View 13 Replies View RelatedAlright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').
After many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
Does anyone know if you can use any multitouch because any app that says it has multitouch doesn't work

I have been trying to put it back on and all I ended up doing was bending it.I got my hands on an HTC Leo Windows mobile 6.5. Best implementation of an SD card slot ever.

I was going to use some sort of film protector, such as Zagg invisible shield and a Flip Case. But the only flip case I can find for the Galaxy S looks horrid, and I am not sure on the texture of Zagg Invisible Shields.I have also considered silicone gel cases, but I am having trouble finding one that is nice, and pouches in combo with a screen protector.What would you use and if I did buy a screen protector, which brand should it be, I want one that will protect but with minimum difference to the feel or colour of the screen.
