Jul 5, 2010Please tell me that this phone has this feature? On the blackberry, you can set up multiple ringer profiles (i.e. office, home, normal, vibrate, vibrate & ring, etc.)

General :: App To Setup Work / Home Profiles?
Aug 5, 2013where I work, my signal is pretty bad. So I typically turn off Bluetooth, GPS, etc to extend my battery any little I can. So I'd like to get an app that sets up profiles for work so that between 7am-3pm, those settings turn off an than turn back on after 3. I think CM has a feature like this built in but I'm on my sgs3, TW. SCH-I535

Mar 19, 2010For some reason my ringer and notifications become disabled. Volume all the way up and not sounds from the ringer or email or system items. I can try and pick another sound but it never plays. Also the media is fine, music and videos all play fine. Only way I have found to get it back is to reboot the phone. Not sure if a program is causing it, but it is driving me up the wall and only happens every so often and it is not from a program I am running cause it is very random, and no one program causes it.

Feb 10, 2010Is there a way to mute audio notification of new emails without also suppressing notifications in the status bar? I get way too much email to have it play a sound every time one comes in, but I do still want to be able to see at a glance when I have new messages I've figured out how to change the ringtone, but there's no option to use no ringtone at all. I'm hoping there's a better solution than recording a blank ringtone!

Jul 9, 2010Here's the deal: I will be upgrading to the Droid X very soon. I know that when you setup the phone you have to tie it to a Google/gmail account, but what if my wife wants to check her email and stuff as well? She isn't going to have a smartphone of her own. Is there a way to designate an app or widget for her Google account on my smartphone? Or will she have to go through the browser every time and log-in?

Now, I set up a alarm to show a reminder for event A and I need the application to setup another alarm to show another reminder for event B. I must be doing something wrong, because it only fires the reminder for event A. It seems that once set up, any other alarm is understood as the same one.

Issue:
I have two Gmail accounts setup on my phone, both of which use Google Apps, so the addresses are (at) example1.com and (at) example2.com as opposed to ending in gmail.com. I use my first account to sync my contacts, calendar and mail, and my secondary account just syncs mail. I then added an old @gmail.com account for no particular reason and now it won't let me delete it and gives this reason: "This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults".
When I first added the account, by default it didn't turn on mail sync. I have left that unchecked, and also left contacts and calendar sync unchecked. Therefore, this account hasn't yet interacted with any apps/programs. Is the reason I can't delete this @gmail.com account because Android recognizes it as a 'proper' Gmail address? I have searched for similar threads, but ultimately the discussions there seem to focus on different problems.
HTC Incredible :: Google Applications Setup Through Exchange Multiple Calendars
Aug 25, 2010I setup a Google Apps domain and I want to connect it to my Incredible via Exchange. Sounds easy enough. All works well, except if you create multiple calendars within Google Apps. It only sees and sync the main Exchange Calendar. Does anyone know of a fix for this? I am setting this up for a business user who wants to maintain two different contact lists. The exchange list will be for business only and the Gmail account used to setup the phone is all personal (has multiple calendars too).
I thought I could add the Google Apps account as a Google account in addition to exchange, but that only enables contact and mail sync. No option for Calendar. Does anyone have a work around. I am using my phone as a test prior to launching on my clients. I did a factory reset and used the Apps Account as the main account on setup, but now I will not be able to re-install already paid for apps from the Market.

Sep 29, 2010Yesterday I received an OTA with 2.2.1. After unpacking and installing the update my phone rebooted as normal. When booting the Nexus-logo appears, but afterwards the display remains black. There are indications that the phone boots up as normal, as I can hear the sounds (ex emergency-call) when pressing the display. The display works perfect in boot-menu (rescue etc)
I've tried to do a factory reset and pulled out the battery several times to try to reset - all with no luck.
In addition I've placed an update.zip on the sd-card in order to perform a new manual update, but after choosing recovery, my phone restarts and the screen turns black. Any idea how to solve this?

On the available Android Eclair code, Gmail account can be added as 'exchange' or 'corporate' account. But on Nexus one there is a different account type for gmail.
Can somebody give me information on how Gmail account has been separated from exchange account on Nexus one.

I can receive and send emails without problems, but I can't find a feature to automatically bcc messages back to myself. I do this so that I can synchronize Sent messages with my PC. Is this feature missing in Android V4.1 or am I just not seeing it?

I get really bad reception in my house and it will go from edge, to 3G, to no data signal.
