HTC Incredible :: Disable Sense / Port Nexus One ROM To INC To Remove It?

What are the chances that we will be able to disable sense or port the Nexus One ROM to the INC to remove Sense?
I cant seem to get HTML working on my HTC Email client on an Active Sync - I use hosted exchange by App river - supposed to be 2007. When I go to click on the setting for Message Format, it says Plain Text and is greyed out. I know there are a few other threads on this, but this is a bit different...
1. Is there a separate inherent Android Email client that will achieve this?
2. I dont want to use Touchdown or K-9
Secondly, I cant seem to disable Sense on this phone - is that something HTC has shut off? I clear defaults and hit home, and it reboots to Sense everytime. I was trying to do this to see what the built-in email would be like.
Is there anyway to delete or remove Sense from my incredible. I would like to run it using plain old android without the Sense overlay.

Voila. I haven't seen the windows prompt since.
So a couple of developers and I are porting HTC Sense to the ZTE Blade. I have come here for guidance for porting it. So what I have is a MPDI port from the HTC Salsa which boots. I want to port the ROM from MDPI to HDPI.
Should I get the system apps from the Desire S and put the .pngs into the other Salsa apps and overlap the MDPI ones? Also there are more pngs in the Desire S than the Salsa one. So would I copy over the existing ones only or all of them? And do I rename the folders from MDPI to HDPI or leave them?

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo has anyone become annoyed enough with the USB port cover to rip it out? If so, does it look bad? Does it look like you could reattach it, or do you need to actually rip the rubber to get it out? I've been thinking about tearing mine off, as I think it's pointless and slightly annoying.

OR
2. Can i receive my sms at any custom port? If yes then how and while receiving that would i see the native notification in status bar?
I am wondering if I can disable sense and get a feel how the stock launcher looks and go back if I don't like. I did a google search and I was sifting through a bunch of hero posts.

I installed a dialer app that I *LOVE*...it is faster and more usable than sense, and even themeable. It works perfectly. The problem is that for incoming called, Sense keeps rearing it's fugly head and forcing me to use it.
I have tried disabling various processes and that damn app still comes up on incoming calls. How to make the fugly Sense dialer go away for good without having to root? I do have ICS installed.

But of course I can't sign in, because I no longer have a flickr account. How do I remove Flickr from HTC Sense on my phone? Where are the options for HTC Sense itself located?
under "Settings:Apps:All apps" there was a "Flickr for HTC Sense". I can't uninstall that, or open it, only Force Stop.I can only see the main "HTC Sense" under Settings-Apps too, so can't open it directly to tell it to stop looking for Flickr.

So I'm running android 2.1 on my Sprint Hero, but I want to disable the Sense UI so I can run the Android OS default home (just to check it out). Most of the things I've read online say to do the following...
1)settings
2)applications
3)manage applications
4)HTC Sense
5) Clear default
The only problem is, there is no default to clear. I can't even click on it and force close does not work.
I have a rooted Hero, running Fresh 2.3.3 ROM with DarchKernel786. I use LauncherPro and want to delete HTC sense from taking up so much internal memory! Is this possible? Also, i want to remove some stock apps like Peep from my phone as well, but they do not show up under app uninstaller. I've read that root explorer app can accomplish this, but the app was really confusing and I didn't understand. Can someone help me out?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just got my HTC Desire HD phone and have spent some time setting it up and personalizing homescreens, etc.
But now that I've done that I'd like to remove the 'personalize' button from the Sense bar at the bottom of the screen.
Is this possible? I have little use for it now and would rather it was an Internet button or something similar.
Is it possible to use that rom on a droid?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have put up a screenshot of the problem I am facing. I would like to remove the bar on the top of the screen ( circled in blue). The screenshot link is http://www.flickr.com/photos/30049787@N07/3277135030/ . I am not sure what the name of that part of the UI is :) hence the screenshot. I noticed that in the examples given here ( http://developer.android.com/guide/tutorials/views/index.html) the tabWidgett doesnt have the "bar" either. Same is with contacts app (as shown in the screenshot).
