Motorola Droid X :: Ninja Morph - Replace Image In Framework

Nov 15, 2010

maybe im having a brain fart and cant remember a step im missing. I'm trying to replace an image in the framework. I have the new image I want on my sd card in a folder called "theme" and it is a .png image. I go into ninjamorph, newproject>system>framework>framework-res.apk>res>drawable-hdpi>scroll to the image I want to replace and select it. it says select the image you want to replace it with and sends me to my sd card I go to my theme folder, and theres no images there... the .png doesnt show up. I have also tried putting it in my galley, root of the sd card, several places. and none of them show up... I ont get it... did I miss a step somewhere?

Ive done it before but its been a while so maybe im forgetting something? (oh and to add to the confusion, three other .png images I have in there do show up, just not the ones im trying to swap.) only difference I can see between the .png's im trying to use and .png images that do show up, it that the ones that show up are ".png" and the ones that are not showing up are ".PNG" I dont see why caps would make a difference, and I cant seem to get them to not be caps...

Motorola Droid :: Updated 2.0.1

Dec 10, 2009

I noticed this after I updated to 2.0.1. My keyboard backlight now either says on in low light conditions even if you don't press a key until the screen times out or stays off in bright light conditions even if you press a buttion on the keyboard itself it does not come on.

This plus lock screen 5 sec. time out equals uber battery saving mode!1!11!

Motorola Droid :: Updated To 2.1 - 2D Applications

Apr 3, 2010

This was in the Android Forum News, but I wanted to link it here. For those who have received the OTA and/or forced the update, apparently, the update has caused the DROID to experience performance problems, particularly in the area of 2D apps. What used to return 60fps is now being halved (30fps). Here is the link to the article: Droid 2.1 Update Causing Performance Problems? | Android Phone Fans.

Motorola Droid X :: Warning For Ppl Updated To OTA 2.2

Sep 22, 2010

Do not try to SBF back to 2.1 if you did the OTA 2.2 update. It will brick your phone completely. New bootloader version is 30.03. I tried to SBF back to 2.1 after doing to OTA 2.2 update and you cant. RSD finishes the SBF, but when the phone is suppose to reboot it wont. Instead you get an error "Err:A5,70,70,00,1F" on the bootloader. Won't let you boot to recovery or nothing. Just boots to bootloader. So Im bricked till theres a fix..

I tried restoring w/ titanium and didn't have any luck with that. I tried opening the application and clearing data, however after reassigning my accounts I still had blank documents. Currently, I have it set up to send me an e-mail to notify me, but I'm getting the Google voice notification before the e-mail notification. It's doing this on both my voice mail and my text messaging. Hopefully this isn't some fluke, because the update says nothing about push notifications.

Motorola Droid X :: Updated Froyo And Root - Need Great Results

Nov 19, 2010

I updated to Froyo really early along on my DX and am pretty sure I'm using the first leak still. My phone constantly locks up/overheats and I have to battery pull to get it working again. I would like to get the most updated Froyo which hopefully doesn't lock me up anymore and also root it again.

What is the best way to do this without actually knowing which version of Froyo I am using? I don't mind losing all of my data and starting over, but the locking up is just becoming way to frequent. I have it in my head that if I flash back to 2.1 stock and do the OTA, then do the root again it would be much smoother. Am I on the right track? I really stepped away from the root scene for a while after I rooted mine so I am lost.

Motorola Droid :: Flashed Updated ROM - Won't Go Past Moto Symbol

Feb 17, 2010

SO the first time I rooted and the first update I did gave me some problems. When the phone rebooted after the flash the Moto symbol would come up and not go any further. Either that or the symbol would show up and then the phone would reset after five seconds. So I did a few battery pulls and finally got it to work after a while. Ever since the 2.0.4 update I cannot get the phone past the Moto screen. I've tried about 12 times between that and 2.0.5 and I have to keep restoring back to my original settings before I flashed any of the ROMs. Anyone know why this is happening? I loved my phone so much more when I had the Smoked Glass 2.1 ROM and OC.

I was on the 2.3.9 and finally updated to the 2.3.15 last night. So far the only issue I have is that I lost Haptic Feedback. I haven't seen any other posts discussing this as an issue. Anyone know why this happened? Did the update for TBH include a new build.prop that disabled this feature? Speaking of build.props I also still have 2.3.9 showing as my system version? Is there any way to know for sure you're on .15?

Anybody have any success with this or have an updated version ready for froyo? Also, is there a way to get the CyanogenMod volume up/down music controls when the screen is off onto BB v4? It's really the only thing that I miss. I don't know the "rules" of ROM's sharing, etc. certain scripts or whatever.
