I had my Droid connected to my car's AUX via typical cable/jack. Various songs were skipping. They weren't skipping the day before, just since yesterday.
It only skips when it is connected via jack or Bluetooth to another player.
If i just listen to the Droid without connecting to anything else, it doesn't skip.

When I play music from the default android music player app it starts weird like first of the year (equinox) it skips the beginning and starts 2 seconds later when I use play music it doesn't do it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen listening to music via the music player through headphones, any movement of the headphone input in the headphone jack causes tracks to FF it seems. i.e. If you spin the cord while in the jack, or even if you just push it in farther to see if it is fully seated tracks will FF. Not a showstopper, but I wanted to put this out there and see if anyone can reproduce this or is my phone just weird?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to play music in my car via the headphone jack( i have a line in for mp3 players on my stereo) and have the blue tooth for calls running simultaneously. I tried this a few times and when I do, I end up having the music play in my headset while i am still in a call or it will stop playing music while I am in a call and bring it back after my call is over.

Motion of the headphone jack (e.g. while walking with phone in pocket) can be sufficient to trigger events that shut down music player or cause it to skip tracks. This is a major usability issue.
I'd like to disable those events or somehow configure the music player to be insensitive to them.
Remember the music player from Galaxy R8? I missed it so I found out it's called Connected Music Player, but it's not a public app and is ripped from the motorola cliq or something. Does anyone have it or know how to get it to work on our phones? If I flashed to R8, anyone know what file to adb pull?
View 5 Replies View RelatedBasically when connecting my phone to my car's aux in socket, the music player starts up & plays over whatever else is happening. As an example, if I want to listen to a podcast on Beyondpod, the moment it starts playing, the music player kicks in & plays whatever track was last being played. I use Taskiller to close it down but it's starts up again after a few mins or even seconds. It also occasionally dials the last number I called, just to really wind me up. It also occasionally does this when watching a video with headphones in.
View 3 Replies View RelatedEverytime my phone connects with my car stereo (Clarion FB275btb) it starts to stream music. It even tries to stream if the music player is closed. After I stop the music and and put the stereo into another mode it works fine. If I later get a call it acts normally, but after I end the call it starts to stream music again! Any ideas on what the problem might be? My stereo worked fine with my behold I and nokia 5310.
View 10 Replies View RelatedNew user....about 1 month. Have been using my Motorola Droid synced to Ford's Microsoft Sync for making phone calls (2010 F-150). Two problems I could use some advice on: 1. To answer an incoming call, I have to slide the "slider" on the lock screen of my phone. Is there a button i can push because this kind of defeats the handsfree feature? 2. Recently used the bluetooth audio to listen to an audiobook on a long drive. Worked very well. Now, whenever I have my phone in my truck, it automatically starts the Music App and begins playing some random selection. Is there a way to disable this feature? I tried using the wireless blutooth settings for MS Sync and disabling audio, but as soon as I got back into my truck, it connected and played again.

I recently installed a 16GB microSD card so I was thinking it could be an issue with this card, but I'm not sure.

Well the problems started 3 weeks ago when i noticed whenever i move around the headphones inside the jack, the music stops or one of the ear buds stop working. so i thought it was the headphones since skullcandies don't last long. i got a new pair and listened again but it STILL HAPPENED . (btw, the phone is not rooted)
The Phone still plays media fine without the headphones, so i thought no big deal. NEW PROBLEMS started to occur. The phone would NOT PLAY Media files whatsoever. (games, music, notifications, APPS ) every time it happens i have to restart the phone.
My Droid shows my Mac computer under Bluetooth Settings > Bluetooth Devices >. I can see it listed and it says "Paired but not connected". I then, on my Mac under the BT control panels, see "Droid" listed and it is also "paired but not connected."
Well, when I tell my Droid to "connect" via Bluetooth Settings > Bluetooth Devices > press my computers name (or long press and select "Connect") it grays out and says "connecting" and then my computer shows it as "connected". But, in a few seconds, the Droid reverts back to "Paired but not connected" and the Mac then also goes back to showing the Droid as "Not Connected".
I want to try this app that allows me to use my speaker and mic on my Mac to take and place phone calls, via BT, on my Droid - but I can't get the 2 to stay "connected" via BT. They pair, but wont connect. It pairs perfect with my car instantly every time.
is it just me or does the droid not like my bluetooth headset? its paired and everything and the phone is connected but the headset is not being used. i tried accessing the voice dial on my headset and nothing happens i try calling someone on my droid and the sound comes out of the speakers not the headset.

View 37 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Voyager, I could use my bluetooth earpiece to talk on the phone, and also get the audio from the Navigation to come through the earpiece. I was surprised tonight that when I was using my GPS on the Droid it didn't come through my earpiece which resulted in me turning my radio down significantly so I could hear the phone.
I also have a stereo bluetooth headphones that I already paired and see the icon on the screen, but when I play a video or some music, it doesn't come through the headphones. Its still coming out of the Droid's phone speakers. Its showing that it is connected in my notifications bar too.
This only happens when the screen is off! Galaxy Mini, GS4 and now my HTC One m8...
Music will skip or cut out for 0.1 sec or do every now and then, no matter of it's through headphones or Bluetooth speakers. I haven't had this issue on my m8 much and power amp seems not to have this issue at all. But I'm using Apollo currently.
I've seen this behaviour on other android devices as well, but never on Apple or Nokia phones.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk non-rooted droid. Using the stock media player it will not let me play a certain folder that I downloaded. I can not figure out why it will not play any of the songs on in that certain folder. I downloaded the whole disc set of a certain artist and this is the only folder that does it. I checked and every song is 317 kbps MP3 format. I have some music that I downloaded using iMusic and it is 320 kbps MP3 format, so I have deducted the bitrate as being the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe only reason I'm starting this thread because I haven't seen this issue on a Milestone thread, and no other threads seem to have an actual 100% solution for this...Most of the times I'm walking around with my Milestone, the music pops or the player pauses completely. I've tried different options (carrying it around inside my bag and not my pocket, for example), different WORKING headsets (including the Motorola ones) and even different players, but nothing solves the problem completly. I just want to make sure there are other options beside having to take it to maintenance (it's still under warranty).

One of the people who posted a comment in it claims that by long pressing on their volume rockers, will skip tracks. Does anyone here know if this is true? Apparently it only works with 2.1 and if this is the case, which I can't do cause I am running BB v1 but i am confused cause its in 2.1 even though I rooted under 2.0.1. Can anyone confirm this?

I know better than to install these leaks as they are buggy, but I've never had one brick my phone like this. I was listening to the music player and now can't get the program to shut down. It won't force close, I shut it down and pulled the battery, when it re-boots it comes on again and the whole system goes fubar. I can't make calls or anything.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI use MediaMonkey to edit all of my mp3 files so that all my artist, album, year, track number, album art, etc is correct. Today I added an artist (Dub_Fx) with 2 albums and one single to my Droid; the single's album art showed, as well as one of the albums, but the other album's album art isn't showing at all, but I used the exact same method for all of the files. Each mp3 has an imbedded image file saved to the tag, each of them 350x350 images, and none of the mp3 files are protected either. Other programs on my computer show the album art correctly (and I've deleted the images from my computer, just to make sure they were saved to the tag and still show properly), but for some reason it won't show for that one album on the Droid's music player. I've even tried changing the album art to something else, copy over to the Droid, change the album art back, rewrite, and still nothing at all.

View 4 Replies View Relatedso I just tried out our music player this evening. Among many other things, I have to say this thing is AWESOME. Yes, I agree, the user interface could use some work. However, the sound is MUCH better than my ipod touch. I use my ipod for music and this monster for everything else. Well, my battery in the ipod died so I put the same earbuds in the Droid and was amazed at the sound.Must say that I am constantly amazed with this thing.
