I installed the 2.2 rom by jrummy, while I was trying to play a flash game (it wasn't optimized) my droid like force closed the game and when I brought it all back up, 3g was gone. I am at home, wifi still works.

I Installed Smoked Glass V5.0 from V4.5. I ended up doing it twice, and to make a long story short I lost my files in AK Notebook.
Here's my question:
1. Should I backup my current configuration
2. Then "Restore" my backup prior to upgrade
3. Grab my files (hoping they will be there) toss them on my mac
4. Then just "Restore" back to where I am now?
Need those files by tomorrow, any assistance is much appreciated. It's not that it's an emergency without them, but I will have to do some legwork to gather that info again.
The android wallpapers that came with the EVO the one that had the desert and the purple lightblub well its not on my phone anymore I don't know what happened can someone help me get them back.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was rooted fine with unrevoked forever. I wanted to try a ROM than required me to install the newest version of hboot so I did that. Well I didn't like that ROM so I tried to flash a nandroid restore but it didn't take. So I reinstalled the pc36img that I used when I rooted my phone. Then I rebooted my phone. Now it booted like its not rooted! I don't have superuser app and when I try to reboot into recovery I get a red triangle over a phone.
When I boot into hboot it says I have s-off but I have no idea how to get my phone back to the way it was. Under system info it says I have firmware version 2.1-update1 but I try to look for a froyo update and it says there are none available. I was going to just unroot with the s-on tool but that requires going into recovery which I can't do. What do I do toget my root back!
I own galaxy s4 running stock rooted 4.2.2. What happened Is when I installed 4.2.2, I found that my internal sd card got erased which never happened with me before . Now the question Is CAN I RESTORE MY LOST FILES FROM INTERNAL SD ????
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I went to update my X10. While at work it wouldn't allow me to as it insisted I connected it to a computer. So at home I got the USB cabled hooked up to my Linux Laptop and then discovered it had to be a windows computer. Anyway, I got it hooked to a Windows computer and the update process began. I followed every instruction and set all tickboxes for backup. After unplugging this and plugging it back in and rebooting here and there, it finally reached the restore process. I left it restoring for a while.
When I came back to it, it said something had crashed. I don't know what as I'd just woken from a nap. But, it seems all my applications are restored. Yet my gmail account & facebook account have become disassociated from my phone and all my contacts no longer have any names or pictures. I opened the contacts/phone book and the list is completely empty. I tried to import contacts but it says it cannot find any anywhere. I have work related contacts as well as family & friends and really need to get my contacts back - please advise?

Used Vibosoft Card Data Recovery program? I just test it and found it can scan out thousands of photos from my phone, but is not free, any free app.
As it says above really. I've rooted to the new Froyo with sense release (seems slow but stable) and all was well until I restored with mybackup pro. Some apps were missing even though they showed as installed and even so, I've got A LOT less internal memory than before and I'm still having to uninstall stuff
I thought Froyo was supposed to let you install apps to SD?

I'm so angry it's hard for me to even type. I upgraded my X10 mini pro to Android 2.1 today and I followed the instructions and the YouTube video EXACTLY step by step.I made a back-up before the update, with the updated Back-up & restore app.Now the Android update is done and i've tried and tried but I can't get my contacts back. Every time I run the restore function of Back-up & restore it tells me the restore is done, but when I go to my contacts list, it's empty.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have just updated xperia x10 from 1.6 to 2.1 (Rogers) and figured it out that all my applications were lost.Before the update, I installed the last PC Companion Software from SE and made two backups using the backup and restore application.After the update, when I tried to restore using it, there's no market application checkbox. Everything else (contacts, messages..) was restored.The paid applications are shown in the Market Download tab to install, but just that (because they are associated with google account).Nothing more. I lost about +50 apps with their user data.I searched all the net about it, but the only info I found it was that the backup and restore tool just save the application links.How about the user data? I reinstall some of the apps that I had, but no user data. Am I the only one that had this problem? Is there any advanced tool to try to undelete internal memory of the phone?
View 14 Replies View RelatedDROID spontaneously lost all my MMS/SMS messages....evidently this is a known bug (as far as users go)...Verizon nor Google acknowledge this issue. No way to predict when the bug will strike...no way to prevent and no way to retrieve the messages.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI install it and it goes fine but I didn't do a data wipe and the animations were pretty sluggish. So i reflash and do a wipe the next time. Goes perfect but now I have no contacts or calender and noway to sync up for some reason. So i restore to my old rom and go to download the new froyo build again-- i think this is where I went wrong. So when I go to install the newest froyo rom again, the phone rebooted and is stuck on the motorola logo boot up screen same with when I hold X and Power button. I don't know what to do from this point. I can no longer get to the recovery screen.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI was switching roms last night and something didn't go through correctly.I restored my nandroid backup and everything is somewhat back to normal.Ti backup force closes on startup although I still have root. I don't really mind having to sbf, but my question deals with game progress. One game i have in mind is angry birds. Is there a way to save my game progress without using Ti backup.and saved the contents of this folder to a folder on the root of my sdcard. Can I simply overwrite these files after an sbf and clean rom install and maintain my progress? Will this general procedure work for anything? If not, what is the difference between this and "restoring" from ti backup?

Apparently, if you need to do a factory reset and wipe the phone, by selecting this in your Privacy settings before the reset, your apps and settings will be restored from Google's servers to their previous state without having to do it all manually f. There's more info on the Moto Forum site here. I hope this actually does what it says it does and helps a few folks out.

I have been able to successfully replace the messaging app to stock androids, but I am looking to replace the dialer, contacts app, and the car dock to the stock android ones. Any advice on how to do so? I cant install via an adb connection, and I cant install it with any file managers, so I really don't know what else to try. Also, please dont suggest any ROMs, I prefer to do it all myself.

View 5 Replies View RelatedGo into recovery (like you did to apply the update.zip). Wipe your cache. Perform a factory reset/date wipe or whatever it's called from within recovery. You _should_ (again I take no responsibility here) boot into 2.1 where you can root and then apply 2.2 update again. Good luck, and let us know if it does/doesn't work.
To revert to 2.1:
1: Flash sbf. After this, you will bootloop.
2: Get into recovery like you did when you updated to 2.2.
3: Wipe cache.
4. Factory reset.
When you reboot you should be at stock 2.1. This would be useful if you needed to return the phone for warranty services, or if you need to reinstall 2.2 for some reason (like to gain root).
I followed directions, but I lost root after the 2.2 update. Anyone tell me how to get root back?

It synced all my goggle contacts to my phone, and but then deleted them all from g mail. luckily I had all my contacts backed up on my computer and entered them in. Once I did that all my contacts from my phone got deleted. Every contact (other than face book and g mail contacts) that I had in my phone is now gone. What do I do?!

I went to the native Running Services to see what apps were running in the background. I accidentally ended the "keyboard" service, and now I can't find it to bring it back?
Every time i try to enter text in any field the virtual keyboard will not show, and it forces me to use the physical keyboard.
How do I get it back?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted 2.2 and it has been flawless until I noticed today that I am barely getting any sound out of one channel. I have tried multiple headsets and multiple sources (Slacker, Pandora, Audible, ect) One channel is barely noticable. Is there a setting someplace? Has anyone else come across this? I do not want to return the phone since it is just about perfect and I dont want to mess with SBF.

(and then it ended). i had no internet access after that for 2 days until i returned home and it came back at exactly the same spot on the interstate where i'd lost it. i was in major metro areas during these 2 days and my wife's incredible always had internet access while i did not.

I used Unroot & Back To Stock | Root Your Droid and still have no search by voice.
Does anyone know how I can get it back?
