Apr 20, 2010My friend has an ipod. He has bought an FM transmitter for his Ipod which lets him play it through his radio by tuning into the set frequency. It worked reallywell. I am looking to get one of these and wanted to know if you can get them for HTC phones. I have seen the generic ones which plug into the earphone socket, but ideally wanted one which connected to the bottom of the my Desire via the micro USB so i had no wires anywhere. the Ipod/iphone one my mate has just clips onto the bottom using the charging port. Also, has anyone found a good site for HTC accessories?

Jul 23, 2010HQ videos don't download fast enough on 3G or Wifi! I didn't think too much of it until my friend came over with his new Iphone 4G. I told him about the new mobile youtube site so that he can see the videos in HQ. He was on the crappy ATT 3G network and was able to play a video in HQ without any problems at all. It was downloading about twice as fast as it was playing. I was very surprised. I then tried the exact same video but it just sat there trying to download. It would play for about 2 seconds then stop. It was really bad. I then turned on my wifi, but it did the exact same thing. I restarted the phone, turned on wifi again, did a speed check so I knew that the wifi was working, then tried it again. Still wouldn't download any HQ youtube video faster than it was playing. I'm just really surprised that my overclocked droid (1.25ghz) on the verizon network (or wifi) couldn't come close to keeping up with the Iphone 4 on ATT's crappy network. I kind of feel like something is wrong here so I though I would ask if anyone else is able to play HQ videos on 3G without it stopping. In other words, is it downloading faster than its playing.

Aug 3, 2010I've been plugging in my DroidX to my computer to do different things (root, transfer files, etc). Whenever I do, it causes the web browser to automatically open and start playing an annoying "helpful video" from the Verizon site. Does anyone know how to make it stop loading? Obviously I can close it out, but it is really annoying. I have root, so I can access the internal memory and delete the offending file. I just don't know which one to remove.

Nov 6, 2010I'm looking for an app that'll help me find my phone via GPS without always having to have GPS enabled. I have Wave Secure and it doesn't have an option to turn my GPS on remotely, Lookout Mobile Security is the same way and Where's My Droid app requires GPS to be previously enabled.
The Internet location ability's accuracy within 200-1000ft radius doesn't seem useful if my phones stolen. I don't think walking from door to door, trying to listen in on each house for my alarm would work out too well.
Any app that could turn my GPS on remotely via codeword text or Internet site would be extremely useful.

So in addition posting questions here, go to Google's issues site and let them know directly! All you need to do is click the link and click the little white star icon. Issues with more stars will theoretically get more attention, so let's let Google know what we want.

Oct 11, 2010I have 8 or 9 ringtones downloaded into the music app from ringtone. All done prior to the Froyo update. Very easy, just download and wala, there they are. So, I just downloaded 3 more songs. Upload successful. Go to the music app and they aren't there. Downloaded them again, go to the music app....still not there, just the previous downloads. So, where are they? ON my sd card somewhere? How do I find them, no sense in keeping on downloading and eating space. Should I uninstall and reinstall due to Froyo?

Sep 26, 2010I have some mp3s that I have used for ringtones on past phones (KRazr, Blackberry), and from what I've found, to add them to my Droid 2, I put them in the media/audio/ringtones folder on my SD card. I've done that, but they don't show up in my list. I've also tried restarting the phone (aks the Microsoft approach), but they're still not available. Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to put the files?

It begins at the start of the song Say... random example.... that I wanted Mr. Roboto as my ringtone. There's a lot of intro to get past till the good stuff begins. Aug 23, 2010Having a problem with Ringtones I've created in RingDroid getting reset. For example I made two ringtones for alarms and incoming calls in ringdroid, then set the phone up to use them. The problem comes when I reboot the phone. The phone ringtone and alarm ringtone both say "unknown ringtone" after that. I'm assuming this is because the ringtones are on the sdcard and that isn't mounted until the phone is already booted up.
