At night, if I'm in a dark room, I find that the lowest brightness setting is still to bright. Is there any way to make it less bright than the lowest stock setting?
I'm running rooted 2.2 OTA.

I was wondering if anyone found a way to get the incredible to go lower than the default 11% lowest setting sometimes at night even at this lowest setting it is still too bright and I wish it could go a bit lower also is there anyway to get the 4 home/menu lights to turn off? I really wish there was a widget for this as those too can be distracting when trying to watch a video at night.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI currently installed CM10 Jelly Bean on my Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch. I understand it is still in beta and there are going to be bugs but for the most part everything works smoothly. One issue I am experiencing is when listening to music, whether via Apollo or Pandora, I set the volume to as low as it can go and it's still extremely loud. Here is some of my info :

I just got home with my new Droid and I am wondering if I got a lemon. My screen seems very dim. I didnt really notice it in the store, however compared to my Droid Eris (which is at about 30% screen brightness) the Droid looks much dimmer, even when its at 100% brightness. The only other thing I can think of is that its the Invisible Shield the guy at Best Buy applied for free. Do they dim the screen at all? With my Eris I can literally have it turned to 25% brightness and it seems brighter than the Droid at full. As does my iPod touch. It has to be turned down to 50% or so before it matches the Droid at full. I have turned off auto brightness and manually turned up the Droid to full.

View 49 Replies View RelatedNo question the Droid has awesome resolution, but I have noticed that the screen lacks the bright punch of the Eris or iPhone. I have checked this at several Verizon stores and on the You tube videos that compare phones and features.The Droid shows up rather bland on the videos versus the others. My phone arrives tomorrow or Tuesday but I thought someone else might have a reasonable response to this. Comments welcome.

Doesn't go off, but dims significantly until touched. I want it to do what I say, stay on whatever brightness setting I have while charging, period.

This setting is reset between sessions, I didn't use it frequently and eventually forgot how to go about making the change. Recently I had a need to access these hidden browser settings again and it took quite a long and frustrating search effort to finally locate this information which does not seem to be widely publicized. So, in an effort to save anyone else this trouble, I figured I would post the information on how to do this on a couple Android boards that I frequent and also include a few words that might be picked up as search terms for anyone else trying to find this info. View 8 Replies View RelatedI got my Eris on Friday, and it has 4 pixels (2x2 square) that are significantly brighter than all of the others on the screen and they stand out like a sore thumb. This really bugs me and is distracting when that area of the screen is white or colored (doesn't show up when black).Has anyone else had this problem? Will Verizon exchange my phone for a new one? Seems like if I buy this phone and I'm stuck with it for two years, it should be flawless when I get it.

I've recently upgraded my phone from a HTC desire running Android 2.2 which allowed me to specify how many days worth of emails it would retrieve.
I've been trying to find a similar setting on the stock email without success, and wondered if this was possible?
What is the lowest % my battery will go on the EVO before the phone dies and is unable to power on until charged? I've ran it down to 20% but that isn't even close i'm hoping. My old palm pre would be very close to death and cut-out anywhere under 16%. I'd just like to know in-case I get into an emergency battery saving situation.

The specs are:
MTK6582 Quad cores 1.3GHz Cortex A9+SGX544 GPU
Ram : 1GB
Rom : 4GB(Support TF Card up to32GB)
First of all, the biggest problem is the battery life.. The phone is on for about 1 up to 2 hours of semi-heavy usage. The screen brightness is set to the lowest one and still the battery life is really low. I dont know whether this is a software fault or the chinese battery is simply crap, so i dont know if there is any point in buying a genuine Samsung Galaxy Note 3 battery.
Secondly, i have an error on some of my apps saying that "Google services that some of your apps rely on, is not supported by your device.. ( screenshot included)" how to fix this problem on this HDC model?
Thirdly for some reason i keep on getting a message about roaming, ( i cant see the message fully, screenshot included) and i have to register my network again for it to disappear for a short period of time and then i have to repeat the same process again.
Lastly, i cannot update my youtube application and i get an error saying that i need to uninstall the previous version of the app. But the problem is that it wont let me delete the previous version.
I'm looking for a new music player app with low power consumption because Google music is eating up my battery quickly.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?

I have scrollable wallpaper off and don't use the landscape mode for the home screen. I have that turned off as well. So really it makes no sense and its highly annoying.
