So I just got my DX yesterday and went to launch the blockbuster app and it just comes to a black screen saying blockbuster on the top in white letters and that is it. Am I missing something or is the App messed up somehow.

Is the blockbuster that comes stock on the X the same as the one in the market?Would simply downloading and installing it from the market act as if it was there originally and allow us to update if blockbuster was the hang up? Also, for those of us who have rooted and removed some bloatware, will you be putting everything back and unrooting in preparation for froyo when your phone promts you for the update?

OK, heres the dealio. I have used root explorer to rename numerous .apk's to .bak's. All have nicely removed themselves from my app drawer...except for blockbuster. Anyone else with this issue or know how to resolve it. it is just sitting there smiling at me and it is useless now. If I tap to open it say it can't...no duh DX...I just renamed it...so why are you still here?? I have also already done a battery pull.

how do you play downloaded Blockbuster movies to your tv. I bought the HDMI cable, but it won't see the movie when I go into the BB app to play it. I even tried moving it out of the BB folder to the video folder and that doesn't work either.

I backed up and deleted Blockbuster with Titanium. But, since I hadn't purchases Titanium yet, it didn't back up the apk (it just backed up the data). I then decided to reinstall Blockbuster so that I could get a proper backup. I moved the apk (which people have posted) and installed it. Then I moved the apk to system/app. The program then wouldn't start, so I updated it in the market (this was happening to people with stock X's too). Everything works and seems fine, except now Titanium doesn't list Blockbuster as a system app. If anyone who's not deleted can check, does Titanium list it as a system? Also, does anyone know if I've done something wrong?

Can I rename icons on the Droid X? For instance, I have an application shortcut named 'Email' on a screen that is actually my 'Work Email' and I would like to rename it to that. Is there a way to do this?

I just realized that you can add folders to the home screens by long pressing an empty space, then choosing folders. There are options to add New Folder, All contacts, etc. After adding a new folder and dragging app shortcuts, I can't seem to figure out how to rename the folders from the default "Folder" name.

I keep seeing posts about disabling the OTA capability on a rooted Droid, and about how I can rename .apk files to .bak or something like that. It all sounds SO wonderful, and Id LOVE to do it, but HOW do I do it? I need it explained to me, preferably to where I can do it from my Emulator on the actual phone, if possible.

Can anyone tell me the names of Twitter and any other apps new to 2.2 that I can remove via renaming to .bak? I'm about to root to get some of these icons off (or is there a command I can execute in terminal that will list them?)

If you opened this up, you know what this is. Trying to rename the .zip to disable OTA and Root Explorer says that it's "read only". I am half tempted to just delete the file, but needed to ask first.

Currently I have an Eris with v3 Leak meaning I can't root. But my wife loves my phone so I plan on giving her mine and either getting another eris and rooting or a Moto Droid and rooting. I've been trying to read up on the Droid and the different ROMS available and have some questions.First I want to make a few things clear:
1. This IS NOT a phone comparison.
2. The Incredilble IS NOT an option since it can't be rooted and I don't want to spend $200 on it.
3. I'm looking for WELL INFORMED OPINIONS, if you don't have one keep moving there is nothing to see here.
To be fair I've obviously done a lot more reading on the Eris which is why I'm looking for well informed opinions from Droid owners that way I can make a well informed decision.

Well, it's being reported, however not confirmed that the Droid Incredible has finally been rooted. He's also reporting that he's OCed to 1.5GHz.What's more he's working on 2GHz.Good Lord, could you imagine?I've been saying that as of right now, based on personal preference, that a rooted Droid is the best option. But this will def start to sway opinions, including mine.
