View 1 Replies View RelatedSeems as if someone at sholes.info has successfully greated an image for android 2.1 that works on the droid. They mention that some things may not work properly (system permissions) and that they recommend not to do this until they create a fully functional "proper" image. Anyway, good news for us Droid users. ROOT required, and risky but still good news nonetheless.

I've changed something in my setup and now the lockscreen is gone completely. So, when I toggle the power button it just opens the phone, I really want to get my lockscreen back but I don't know how I did it.I'm using a Droid X with OTA 2.2 and LauncherPro (unlocked).
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo is there a way to port over the 2.1 lockscreen without using an app? I am thinking along the same lines on how the R2D2 lockscreen was ported. I figured it could be possible with root but wasn't sure. I have tried a couple of apps from the market and they seem a little sluggish to me, and I hate the 2.2 locksreen on the phone. When I sbf'd back to 2.1 the other day the locksreen was so much better and makes me want it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am not a big fan of the stock Droid X lockscreen, however I do like the regular Vanilla Lockscreen. Over on XDA I found some dark vanilla lockscreen sliders and decided to mod them for my Droid X.
As of right now I haven't added a vibrate icon with the right slider. Sliding from right to left will either turn sound on, or turn on vibrate mode. Also they are only supported in portrait mode.
Also I am not responsible for any and all damage this may do to your phone/device, neither is wjddesigns.com.
I can't find the option to disable the lockscreen slider?
Under Location & Security settings, "set up screen lock", I select the option for "none" but it doesn't disable the slider.
I would like the phone to go to the homescreen immediately after pressing the power button.
Anything I am missing?
I know on the standard DX lockscreen if u had the music player playing and the phone locked, it would appear on the lockscreen. can this be done with Widget Locker?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAlright.. I had a Motoq9M for a couple of years.. and such a bad experience.. I was skeptical about EVER buying another motorola again.. Alas.. I refuse to give up my verizon coverage.. and bought a Droid.. aand Im ALMOST hopeless with some of this stuff. The first week everything worked great, then as I started adding apps, things have gotten hinky.
Problem 1:
I set up a "lock pattern" and my screen's timeout time is 30sec. Whenever I'd make a call even after I'd unlock it.. or I've answered the phone and unlocked it.. literally 2-3 secs later.. the phone would blackout and lock again.. WTF? soo.. i disabled the lock option.. problem solved.. but now I don't want to re-lock it if it's going to bug up again.
Problem 2:
I seem to have an unremovable facebook app... can't delete it from settings, and I can't delete it with an un-install app it doesn't even show up to look at in app management in settings.. uhh Help.. because
I USED to be able to go to a friends photos, and choose the "set as" option as a contact photo or a wallpaper.. it started to only do it once in a while .. and now I can't do it at all.. I REALLY want that ability back.
Problem 3:
half the time I go into my task killer, and apps I've never even touched to activate are randomly running in the background.. and when i go to look at my SD card space availability and its says unavailable..
Tried looking around but couldn't find what i was looking for/people didn't respond to the other posts... so is it just me or is it super hard looking for a good music player...
currently I'm using cubed but i dont like it. people swear by it but im not following. its seems a bit clunky, it scrolls terribly, and i dont like the lockscreen controls.
for my question. i can deal with a music player like cubed BUT I'm looking for a music player with lockscreen controls that doesn't disable the timer/alarm notices. the lockscreen controls with cubed is $#!t. you press "unlock" even by accident and it unlocks (dont like that). and it doesn't even show you the time, so i have to completely unlock the phone and lock it again just to view the time. AND i cant see when my next alarm is going to go off. really inconvenient.
Does anyone know of a music player that has lockscreen controls that does not disable the clock/alarm notices when you wake up the phone before you unlock it?
I have finally figured out how to get the Vanilla MMS app ported for us 2.1 leakers that can't root. Thanks to jonasl over at XDA for helping me figure this out. Took some time.Problems that I have with it:Every time someone sends you a message, it sends 2. It only notifies you of one, but two show in the thread. I'm trying to fix it.That's it so far, let me know of any you come across and I'll see what I can do.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI don't have a droid eris, i have a my touch 3g with a ported 2.1 Eris rom. As far as I know the changes are minimal so hopefully you guys can help me. In a nutshell, the phone is constantly syncing with something. It still happens when I Taskill mostly everything, and i tried to use Droidwall to work out what it was but my results were a bit stuffy, i couldn't accurately determine what it was. Facebook perhaps? i have it set to sync every 8 hours. So basically what iam asking is does anyone know what it could be and how I may sort it out? Failing that, does anyone know of an app that will tell me exactly what's using the connection at the time?

We know that with the OTA we won't be getting live wallpapers, so for the people that want them I say we should try to port it over to the Eris. Unfortunately I have close to no knowledge on how to port. If anyone knows how to and is willing to it would be greatly appreciated.

1 - Last night, I put a background app on my Eris and downloaded a couple. Got the message just fine that they were saved to my SD card.
2 - This question in two parts.
A - Where the heck are they? I went to look for them in the settings area, and I can't find them in any "gallery." What am I doing wrong?
B - Once "found," how do I save them to a gallery that I can use to change the lockscreen background?
Again, I can't do this on a PC and rooting is not an option for me (one, I really don't know much about it, and two, I think you lose Sense UI which I like and don't want to get rid of).locate any files on my SD card. As a matter of fact, the only option shown in my settings for the SD card is "Unmount SD card." The Format SD Card is greyed, so it's not letting me choose it even if I wanted to. Is this a setting somewhere else?
I know about Lock 2.0 but from what I've seen it's not too great. Anything else? Also, can someone give me an explanation on what better cut is? Is it like a different version of sense and home? Is it worth it, or is there something better?
