View 5 RepliesWhen taking pictures in low light, my flash seems to be way too bright. It completely washes out almost the whole picture. Any special settings I can use?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy last phone was a Nokia N86 8MP. Like the x10, it to had a 8.1 MP camera. Unlike the x10, the images on the Nokia seemed a little clearer, but what really sets the Nokia's camera apart from the x10's is the flash. I recently tried taking a photo with the x10 in a dark room, although the photo light seemed bright, you couldn't see anything past 5 ft, the same applies in video mode. With the Nokia that was never a problem, the flash was bright enough to light up the entire room and so was the video light. I suggest, if it's legally possible, SE have it's testers look at the Nokia N86 8MP and borrow, if not improve upon their camera, flash and video setup.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am extremely happy with my DX. My only complaint is the quality of the camera in low light. Every picture I take looks grainy. At times the flash washes everything out. I know it's just a camera and I shouldn't expect much, but for such a great device that does everything else, it's a bit of a bummer. I've been looking at low light photos from the SF and they appear to be worlds apart. Does anyone have any hints to get decent looking photos in low light?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got home with my new Droid and I am wondering if I got a lemon. My screen seems very dim. I didnt really notice it in the store, however compared to my Droid Eris (which is at about 30% screen brightness) the Droid looks much dimmer, even when its at 100% brightness. The only other thing I can think of is that its the Invisible Shield the guy at Best Buy applied for free. Do they dim the screen at all? With my Eris I can literally have it turned to 25% brightness and it seems brighter than the Droid at full. As does my iPod touch. It has to be turned down to 50% or so before it matches the Droid at full. I have turned off auto brightness and manually turned up the Droid to full.

View 49 Replies View RelatedAt night, if I'm in a dark room, I find that the lowest brightness setting is still to bright. Is there any way to make it less bright than the lowest stock setting?
I'm running rooted 2.2 OTA.
No question the Droid has awesome resolution, but I have noticed that the screen lacks the bright punch of the Eris or iPhone. I have checked this at several Verizon stores and on the You tube videos that compare phones and features. The Droid shows up rather bland on the videos versus the others. My phone arrives tomorrow or Tuesday but I thought someone else might have a reasonable response to this. Comments welcome.

Doesn't go off, but dims significantly until touched. I want it to do what I say, stay on whatever brightness setting I have while charging, period.

View 18 Replies View RelatedOn the behold 2 there is no light when in the video mode like with the regular behold. Sometimes I would like to shoot videos of the kids outside at night but the lighting is bad. I downloaded momentflash and love it. I used that while video recording it worked great. My only concern is the warning with momentflash that says
"overuse of the flash may damage it especially in bright mode" Is there anything that can be done to have a light when recording? Or to dim the light a bit?
I'm considering getting the Galaxy S, but the only drawback I can see right now if the absence of a flash for the camera. I know flashes on camera phones aren't all that great, but they do help in many situations. I read in a couple places that this phone has a night mode negating the need for the flash. So far I have not been able to find any sample photos taken in low light conditions, say a portrait of friends in a dark restaurant, or at a party. Can those of you who have the phone post some sample shots in these conditions?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI got my Eris on Friday, and it has 4 pixels (2x2 square) that are significantly brighter than all of the others on the screen and they stand out like a sore thumb. This really bugs me and is distracting when that area of the screen is white or colored (doesn't show up when black).Has anyone else had this problem? Will Verizon exchange my phone for a new one? Seems like if I buy this phone and I'm stuck with it for two years, it should be flawless when I get it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a notification light on the Droid X? If so, does anyone know how to get it to work? I have looked in all of the settings and I can not find where to turn the notification lights on and yes, it does appear to have a notification light, I just can't get it to work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I spent the last hour or more in my backyard in 107 degrees taking pictures of flowers at stock settings with both phones. NOT an easy task I will tell you that. My back hurts, but besides that... I did my best to show the best quality of BOTH cameras, because they are both great. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, or will think I messed with something in my pictures. But these are all completely stock settings, not messed with at all. I only touched the flash on/off button.
My decision is I like the X camera better, it is easier to focus, and much snappier. Plus designated camera button! I found on the Incredible while the pictures look great on the phone itself and in gallery, that as soon as they were uploaded the colours looked washed out and not as great. I know this is due to the AMOLED screen. But both overall great. My decision is the X though.

I got a replacement droid and dropped it into the media dock and when it changed to the clock mode I noticed no light bulb icon to dim it. Anyone know what to do? I like to dim it when using it as as alarm clock.

Besides the lagging on the browser which most people are experiencing it seems that the physical keyboard light on mine is having an issue if i restart my phone and slide it out it doesn't light up..in order for it to light up i have to hit the power button to turn the screen off then if i turn it back on or just slide the keyboard out the lights work
