Motorola Droid X :: ESPN Videos With Froyo
Aug 21, 2010I thought after updating to FROYO I would be able to watch ESPN videos on the site w/ flash but no such luck. Is this happening for everyone else?

Jun 11, 2010Just bounced out to ESPN at ESPN Home on my Incredible and like the look, but in the "video" section there are only 7 offerings and this is little highlight blurbs. On the ESPN 3 site you can watch full length games and I can browse to this site on my Incredible but when I get the viewing window, I just get a little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Is there any way to play ESPN 3 videos on the Incredible?

Since I've gotten the Hero, the Video tab does not show up on espn mobile, anyone know why or have another way of seeing these videos?

Jan 17, 2010We are working to get an espn app on android. I would actually like a widget and an app. To get this we are emailing espn and expressing the desire to get an app/widget on android. To do this you must have an account with espn. It is free to set up. Once you set it up go to the contact us section and send an email requesting an app/ widget. This was not originally my idea got it from a guy on droidforum.net. But I feel if we can get enough android users emailing they will see how large the android base really is. The amount of android users combined (g1, droid, nexus, hero, eris, click, and more) out numbers iphone users and I do not see why we will not be able to get one if they have an app.

Oct 1, 2010I downloaded this and am using the widget but cant figure out how to use it for just the top events. It keeps saying on the Widget that there are no myTeams events found. I don't want my teams, I just want all scores. Does it work for that?
I have Scoremobile and it is very nice but the widget is too damn big. how do i get this ESPN widget to do the same thing, or is there some other sports widget that will that isn't as big as Scoremobile?

Apr 16, 2010I had tried using Dolphin and an disguise myself as the iPhone browser. It would bring up the video option, but when I tried to play, it would say the media was not supported!
It seems just yesterday they've added native support for Android. Now I can watch the highlight of the day, top 10s, etc all from their website.

Sep 19, 2010I have been browsing you tube with 2.1 and found that most of official music video is filtered in you tube mobile. and I was informed that this is general case for you tube mobile regardless of which handset you use. When I search in non-mobile you tube for videos, I can find them but I can't play them. What happens in froyo when we get flash support? Do we get unlimited access to you tube videos or no luck. I am assuming we can watch those because of flash support but correct me if I am wrong.

Nov 29, 2010Since I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...

Aug 5, 2010I've used Handbrake as recommended in this helpful thread (Put Videos on Droid) to convert .avi files to .mp4. I got a "Sorry, this video cannot be played" when I try to play it on my Droid.I also tried downloading an .mp4 file from a YouTube video (as converted by file2hd.com). But I still get that error message.I know this topic has come up before and it usually seems to be the way that the file was converted rather than some kind of setting on the Droid. What else should I try?

Dec 26, 2009I cant seem to find an option on my droid for sending a video clip with Handscent mms. when I browse though my gallery and select a clip, I dont have an option to send using Handscent. I have tried the setting under the video camera mode to use 30 second clips for sending mms and i have tried using the lower quality setting as well. I do see the option for sending using the stock messaging app, but I was wondering if I could use Handscent to send these videos..

Sep 16, 2010Sending pics and videos to a site for sharing is pretty easy. Now this is considering you have Photobucket and You Tube. Couldn't tell you about others. Basically after setting up your accounts with them, the camera software will send the pics to them thru the "share" option. Videos require a Wi-Fi connection. The new You Tube now does HD video, so they show up in high-quality 720p. Pretty much easy as can be. Sent a 15mb video in about a minute or so. Thought that was darn good.
