Love the new Droid X. My only problem is with the speaker. The Volume is really low when playing music, youtube videos, ringtones, etc. The original Droid speaker is much louder. Is my Droid X defective? Or is the low volume normal?

I thought i could use the volume controls to skip to next song when in lock screen. I use Ultimate Droid 1.0.0, launcher pro, stock theme, Insetting under ultimate droid, audio settingsd the first one says volumne button will seek and it is checked...however it does not work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust got my Droid 2 FedEx today, and am getting her all set up. I was using an LG Dare before. I had an micro 2GB card that had all my pictures, music, videos and contact photos (picture ID pictures).
It was easy going from an old Verizon phone to another old Verizon phone because the file structure was the same for all the SD formatted cards (MY_PIX, MY_FLIX, etc...).
In looking at the 8GB card that came w/ the Droid 2, there seems to be no such structure. There are directories, (.android_secure, Android, logs, and LOST.DIR) but I am not sure where to put my videos, pictures, etc. Any thoughts?
I'm running Sapphire 1.1.1 and like it so far. Coming from Cyanogen, I'm mostly interested in the music volume rocker controls for skipping through songs when the screen is off. I know the problem with Sapphire has typically been that the volume rocker controls sometimes continually skip through songs when the button is pressed, but mine seems to only start the current song over. Anyone else have this problem? The lock screen controls work fine, but I'd like to get the volume rocker working correctly so I can keep my eyes on the road when driving.

I downloaded and installed from the Android Market. When you first start the app, it scans your phone for media. I turned on my Droid's Wifi. The TwonkyServer Mobile was immediately visible to any DLNA or UPnP client. It took 2 minutes. No setup was involved. The UI looks pretty cool too.
Is there any way to disable the volume control button as it works on the ringer volume? I use locale, but I bump those buttons often enough and turn the ringer off completely.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have HTC Desire with Android 2.1 and Windows 7 Premium 32bit. I have created some 3GP videos on the HTC and can play these successfully. When I transfer the file to Windows 7 the playback via Windows Media play doesn't have any sound. Same files playback with volume via iTunes. I'd really like to use these files with Windows Media Player. Is this some sort of codec issue? Why are such task seemingly simple tasks made so difficult?

Got a Desire partly because once the 32GB comes out (on pre-order) I'll be using it as an mp3 player as well as a phone. Managed to find a good program to sync my music with it (MediaMonkey) and now the only other hurdle to this seems to be the volume levels which are too low for my liking. Will simply getting headphones with a volume control push the volume up further? I'm planning on buying some headphones for it that'll include a mic, volume control and maybe a couple of buttons to control the music, but is there anything that has all these? I'm not keen on bluetooth devices in the slightest, so just want some super-duper in-ear headphones really.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen i updated my HTC Desire X to 4.1.1 I found 1 bug. The Volume level for the music app and only for the music app on the loud speaker was considerably lower than before. Whenever i get a notification, the music volume becomes normal but after 5 seconds it reduces back down. I tried a factory reset and that did not fix the problem. I downloaded music apps like poweramp from Google play and the Volume is normal on that. So the issue is with the Music app.

Problem:
If I boot up the media player and select a tune, it plays but I cannot hear it
If I fire up a youtube video, it plays but again I cannot hear it
The only thing that works believe it or not is turning the thing off and on again. However a while or if I exit the youtube app or whatever it then looses sound again.
Even with stock earbuds, the Epic's lowest volume setting is hot enough to cause hearing damage if used over long periods of time, particularly if the style of music being listened to isn't classical and has a continuous loud dynamic level.
With higher quality earbuds like the Etymotic HF2, UE Superfi 5vi and Shure E4c (all of which I've tried), the lowest setting becomes unbearably loud.
Since the music player and system adjust the same exact level, there's no way to affect the gain structure of the Epic, which means that better earphones become painful to listen to -- which is a shame, since the Epic sounds good out of the box and benefits from the upgrade.
Does anyone know of a different music player or app that allows you to adjust the volume to lower levels than the system volume currently provides?
I've noticed today that on 1.6 I need to turn up the volume more in order to have the music be as loud as on 1.5. Is this my subjective impression or has anyone else noticed?

Is is possible for someone with the proper knowledge to elaborate some sort of guide, as general as possible, for AOSP and perhaps MIUIv4 Roms, if that is possible at all? I and many others might want this mod but don't have Roms that support it. My programming skills are extremely limited but perhaps with a guide, as general as it might be (given the differences in the code for each phone), I could get something done..

View 6 Replies View RelatedI added about 4 gigs of music and 2 gigs of movies to the internal memory of my Inc. Now the music files play when I go into the music player, but when I go into Astro file manager, I can't find the videos or music anywhere. I put them under music and video folders, but nothing. They still show when I am on the computer connected to the phone.I know it isn't the file either, because I added the same movie to the 2 gig card, and it's showing up under astro for that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOk non-rooted droid. Using the stock media player it will not let me play a certain folder that I downloaded. I can not figure out why it will not play any of the songs on in that certain folder. I downloaded the whole disc set of a certain artist and this is the only folder that does it. I checked and every song is 317 kbps MP3 format. I have some music that I downloaded using iMusic and it is 320 kbps MP3 format, so I have deducted the bitrate as being the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the Desire for about 3 weeks now and it's a brilliant phone. However, quite often I listen to music from my Desire through my headphones to help me get to sleep. Unfortunately though, the lowest media volume setting is too loud through my headphones. It's seems to be either a choice of no music (i.e media volume turned to zero) or the next level up (which is too loud). Is there anyway to get a volume in between the two? I just put a bunch of videos into a folder I created titled "Videos" and now Act1 can't find em and the default picture viewer seems to create doubles. How do you guys organize them? Ok I just restarted my device and it looks like apps are starting to read things right again, so that's good. It's ok if I keep everything in a created folder right?

The video itself is in raw directory. When the application starts I can hear the video's sound but no image is displayed. I've tried using 1.5, 2.0 and 2.1, same thing. I've tried this with different videos, tried converting them using ffmpegX and "Videora Android Converter", nothing helps.
