For example, the following programs were pre-installed:
Amazon MP3
Footprints
Teeter
And maybe some others.
I've just tried:
Settings | Applications | Manage Apps
And noticed there's not always an option to Uninstall on these and some others.
Is it possible to remove, delete, uninstall, or get them off the device?
Is there any way to remove the pre-installed Sprint programs?
Sprint TV
Sprint-Nextel
NFL
Nascar
Are there some "core apps" or "core programs" that can't be removed?
A brief search on this matter on related threads seems to indicate only on "rooted" phones.

Apr 30, 2010Anyone know how I can delete the preloaded songs that come on the phone. When I hook the Inc up to my mac only my SD 2gb card shows up, I cannot vies the songs on the 8gb internal memory to delete. Any ideas?

May 16, 2010I just bought my first phone ever, so far I'm not overly impressed, it's about as stable as win98. The built in gmail is crap...if I send mail from gmail webpage I have no. problem, but if I send it from the phone I get errors or the mail floats off into space, who knows where it goes. Is there a way to un-install all this junk, there are at least 10-15 applications on this phone I have absolutely no use for and just eat up battery and ram? Update, was reading some other forums and I guess you can't really, or you have to hack the crap out of your phone...to bad I guess, they should make an Android lite version, I don't need Facebook, Twitter, nfl, stocks, nascar, or another half a dozen apps that came with the phone.

If I try, my phone just crashes. my phone is so slow and my gf is such a snoop on my phone and I want to delete my texts from other people. I downloaded Delete Old Messages and I always try and delete stuff. It will try and delete them all, like around 3,000ish and I will leave the phone alone for like 4 hours and only around like 30 will be deleted.

Apr 26, 2010Is there a way to remove some of the Sprint Bloatware without rooting the phone. I know some of those apps Sprint probably sold their soul to have on the phone but some of it is just trash. I'm not looking to clear up memory or any performance improvements. I just want to do some house cleaning of junk that I will NEVER use. I was hoping for maybe an unlock code or something simpler then the root/rom way to go. I'm very satisfied with the way things are working now but some of that garbage has got to go. I know junk is standard bill of fare on new computers but you can go through and systematically delete the garbage but I'm a little offended to have something that I bought and paid for and can't even clear out the junk and personalize it to my taste.

May 4, 2010After I read an email, my phone keeps if for a day or so, then deletes it. I don't want it to delete any emails without my approval. Why is it doing this and is there something in settings that will prevent it from deleting emails from my phone? Except that I can't figure out how to do a couple of things. 1. Is there a way to select and delete multiple emails on the phone and 2. How do I get rid of all my spam mail that comes in on the laptop (and gets filtered out there). Do I have to set up some kind of email push program so that the email comes in from my computer (already filtered) instead of from the server? You can see my learning curve is steep.........
