Nov 21, 2010I really like the walking dead show and was wondering if there is any walking dead wallpapers floating around for droid x?

View 1 RepliesJust wondering if something specific could cause them or simply a quality issue.
My first N1 (T-Mobile purchased day one) developed a tiny dead pixel after about a week of use. I returned it to HTC and the replacement I got didnt have any but about a week after I got it, a dead pixel appeared on it. The phone was stolen so I never called HTC. I just bought an ATT N1 and again it's perfect to start. I know nothing about how electronics work but I wonder if:
-Could a specific live wallpaper cause this? I used the Grass one on both previous models.
-Could the dock cause this? When you place it in dock the screen dims and you get that floating clock. I wonder if extended stay on the dock could be the cause?
Or like I said maybe just not the best quality parts.
This might be really nit picky but there's a dead pixel on my screen and it's very obvious when I surf the web with the white background. I'm coming from the iPhone apple would replace the phone..do you think verizon would or should I just suck it up?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI got my new Moto Droid on the day of release, which so far I absolutely love. However, I just looked at it and noticed that there was a single dead pixel in the top left corner. I wouldn't have even noticed it had it not been on the gray background of the top status bar the rest of my wall paper is black so it would've been easy to miss.Has anyone else experience dead pixel(s) on their new phone? I'm going to try to get it swapped out this afternoon which I think they should do. It just makes me mad that I have too.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having issues.
So far, I have:
-Lowered the brightness all the way
-Taken the Sync off
-Turned off GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth
-Let battery drain all the way down and then charge it.
Still, however, my battery is draining very quickly with moderate use. In fact, when it is in standby and locked (screen off, no activity), it still drains at an incredible rate.
Is my battery fried?
I got a dead pixel, this will be #4. I am thinking about switching phones.
View 47 Replies View RelatedI noticed my phone has stopped being charged by the wall charger. Not to sure why this is. I tried several different outlets in my house and it wouldn't charge. I then used the same cable and plugged it up to my computer and it charges with no problem. My car charger cable works too. Any ideas why the wall charger would want to stop working all the sudden? Its not the cable because like I said I have it charging via my computer.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor 2 days my battery has been draining quickly. This morning it is dead in less than 4 hours. I sent four texts. Checking battery usage, this is what I found: com.android.launcher - 46%, Beautiful Widget (just uninstalled) - 37%. I have never noticed these processes taking up so much battery. Background: I have been receiving a low storage notice so I deleted some apps, texts and pictures and plugged in for the night. The next morning the severe battery drain began. I was concerned about shorter battery life after the latest update so I have recently changed my settings to lower frequency for refreshing email, etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave a new X on the way... and I know for certain it wasn't there when I first received it because I specifically checked for dead pixels before I started customizing everything.... it just showed up one day, no drops, nothing significant.

View 49 Replies View Relatednote: this is an artist rendition because my digital camera is terrible and i couldn't figure out how to get the dust in the shot. but it looks just like this. it's a black speck under the screen that can only be seen on bright surfaces and only if you are looking at the screen head on. i'm not sure if it might be a dead pixel. i can certainly live with this problem although i'd prefer if it wasn't there.
1. is this a dead pixel or dust?
2. how do i fix this, can i just exchange it at the vzw store whenever they stop being sold out?
I rooted my phone. No problem with that. The phone was dropped and will not power on.It is still under warranty. Will Motorola be able to tell that it was rooted and void my warranty if I return it? Would it be better to make insurance claim?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had my DroidX Cell Phone since when it was released last week.
The Cell Phone was working very well with no dead pixels on any of the menu screens, none on any of the software applications, and none on the Camera or Camcorder applications.
I had checked for the dead pixels using different colored backgrounds, and using dark screens especially with the Camera and the Camcoder application.
On Tuesday afternoon I downlaoded and installed the DroidX 1.13.604 Update.
The DroidX now has some dead pixeks in the same location only in the Camera and Camcorder applications, and not in any of the other applications or menu items.
You need to use the Camera and Camcorder applications in very low light and viewing a dark screen and you will definitely see the white colored dead pixels.
If you using the Camera and Camcorder applications and you are looking at an object in a bright light or in an outdoors setting you will probably not notice the white colored dead pixels.
Since the dead pixels only occur in the Camera and Camcorder applications it is probably a software related bug.
My phone was completely fine since day one and when i plugged my charger a little later I noticed that there is a whole line of dead pixels going across 1/3 down the screen.... restarted, rebooted, battery pull, factory reset: none solved the problem
View 9 Replies View RelatedI called up service just now and looks like I have a dead pixel that a battery pull didn't make go away. I am annoyed now because I will have to do what they called a master wipe or something and all the customizing I have done will be gone. I don't even know what I am doing but I will just go to the store by work to have them walk me through it.Is there anything I need to know about a master wipe and keeping all my stuff intact?
Is there something that wrapsol will do now that my nicely protected and wrapped phone is going back to the verizon God's?I also told them about the 2 times in the last week the phone went to sleep/blacked the screen while scrolling through the home pages without hitting a button or anything and they said neither the pixel or the phone going blank are known issues
My brother and I both just updated to the new firmware and noticed something.. Go and open up the Camera app (hold the red button) and tap "Switch to Video" and then tap it again so you are back in the picture mode. Look closely at the screen (point it at a white/black wall), do you see a couple light blue/green little dots in random spots? I noticed it on my phone first and then went and asked to borrow his and sure enough, his has them too. They don't seem to actually be in the pictures themselves.. just on the viewfinder screen.

My replacement Droidx has no dead pixels but it has a small dent.
I hope that my next replacement Droidx will have no problems.
So my Droid's screen recently stopped working and I'm getting an exchange with Verizon. I have to send my dead phone back once I get the new one, and am concerned about the fact that it's rooted running Froyo. I'd like to restore the nandroid backup I made of stock 2.1. Can somebody give me advice on how to do this with a dead screen? Perhaps from the command line on my computer via USB, or perhaps the key strokes to do it in nandroid so I can replicate it by feel?

I have tried 2 GPS trackers and both were not accurate for measuring distance. I used My Tracks and Cardio Trainer. I really like Cardio Trainer but it adds 3 tenths of a mile for every mile. My Tracks was off as well. Anyway just wondering if anyone has had good luck with another application?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi am about to travel. I would need a working offline maps with GPS/navigation service. I have tried Google offline maps but it doesn't work with "direction" so I find it kinda useless. Any offline maps/GPS service with walking direction? Navigon is the closest thing to what I want but I can't download the south america maps from play store (they say it's not available for my country). I am thinking to buy NDrive considering they use the same database (navteq).
Does NDrive have walking GPS direction (and available offline) like Navigon? If NDrive doesnt do it for me
The monthly walking distance recap in Google Now is useful, but if that card disappears how can I view the information again?
Obviously some of the information is stored somewhere in the googleverse as it does comparisons (i.e. 70 miles in nov verses 55 in Dec).
I've switched from the iPhone to the Hero a week ago. I really like the Hero, even though some functions are better on the iphone (like the musci player).
There is one Issue however, which is really bugging me with the HTC, which might make me switch back to the iPHone if I can't find a solution.
Problem:
When I call with my headset (Not the original ones, I don't have huge ear holes....) I can't "switch off" the screen and put the phone in my pocket and call while walking... This sucks, as I have to hold the phone in my hands, which kind of kills the idea of having a headset.
On my PC desktop I can choose to have NO wallpaper. Is this possible on Droid? If not, add to list of requests
View 28 Replies View RelatedI've used Mabilo and AndroLib wallpaper apps on my phone but notice that all of the wallpapers I download become a bit grainy when I use them as a background.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a very high res wallpaper app? I woulnd't mind dropping a little change in the developers pocket as long as it is a quality app.
