One thing that's bothering me about SH... I don't use Beautiful Home anymore. In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.

The learning curve is a little steep, but once you learn it ... it is THEE home-replacement app. Checkout the other Sweeter Home threads with pics to see what we're doing with this newly-released home-replacement app But I digress. As I have experimented with MANY apps, and home-replacement apps ... I am constantly watching how much available memory I have remaining. I open Task Killer many times throughout the day to check this. For the record, I have approx. 140 apps installed at this time. This hasn't changed all that much over the passed few weeks. I usually have between 38-52M available memory. I really haven't seen it above the 52M mark in a long time. But late last night, I finally finished enough of Sweeter Home to switch over to it full time. When I opened Task Killer, I couldn't believe what I saw! I had 68M available memory! I've been watching it all morning, and it seems to vary between the mid 50s, to the low 70s. So it appears that Sweeter Home Preview 2 is somehow using approx. 20M less memory than Launcher, Home, or Home++ Beta.

Running perfectly. Very fast, responsive and smooth. I would suggest, however, to make the stock "Home" app your default desktop app the first time you boot up the new 2.1 update. Then you can test your theme in SH to make sure that it's all good. 2.1 has the Live Wallpapers (which seems very smooth, btw), but SH does NOT support them yet.

Trying out Google Gestures (very cool app!) with SWII. I would like to dedicate one of my five SWII screens to this app as an opened app. In other words, I'd like to slide the main home page to the left and have the Google Gestures app open automatically. Sweeter Home is so configurable, I figure there must be a way. I just don't know what it is.

I've been playing around with the new releases of Froyo 2.2. It appears that sweeter home is not compatible with the new 2.2. Man! i have emailed the dev the bug reports. I am hoping that a new release will be coming very soon. Hopefully we can get some kind of the eta on the new release. And just when sweeterhome was virtually bug free!

Sweeter Home has just taken over my Droid via FC loop. This is terrible! I can't use my phone because Sweeter Home can't start. It FCed in edit mode, while editing a custom tray, and now (for the past several hours), I can't get it to stop it's FC loop. I've pulled the battery, and when I try to boot into safe mode by holding the keypad menu button down while powering up the phone, after a point the phone vibrates, and restarts.

Sweeter Home 2 is the most innovated home replacement software I've seen, but it is only available for 1.6 & 2.0. We need this for the Eris, Moment, Hero and other 1.5 phones. Please help get Sweeter Home 2 released for the 1.5. The dev team will release a build for 1.5 if enough people click the link below and submit a comment asking for it: Running Android 1.5 and can't install the beta? : sweeterskins.net - themes and news about Sweeter Home More info: sweeterskins.net - themes and news about Sweeter It's unlike any other home replacement, allows you to store apps in different trays that pop-up at a click of the button, add custom calendars to the home screen, everything and I mean everything on the screen is customizable. Just check out some of the themes people are developing:

I'm just starting to get the hang of Sweeter Home Preview 2. And as many of you already know, some widgets (like Beautiful Home) won't update consistantly. I'm going to email the dev my finding so hopefully he can rectify this issue. But in the meantime, you can try this fix/work-around. My Beautiful Home widget has been keeping the correct time for almost 12 hours now ... through many edits, screen changes, and reboots. That was not the case just yesterday. What I finally did was experiment with the "Layer Level" parameter of everything on the screen. What I found was that if the Beautiful Home widget was on the highest level (10), that it will update with no problems. In fact, I have no other Layer Level 10 items on the screen where I'm using that widget.

Just bought my droid and LOVIN' IT...but I'm looking to tweak it a little more. So far, I'm really digging' the home screens that a lot of you guys have posted on this site, and I'm trying to emulate them but it's a little difficult for me to do. I'd really appreciate it if you guys can lead me to the right direction on which apps and customizations I need to employ to get those similar settings. I'm mainly looking to do 2 things:
1.) get my home screen to have the time, date, and weather widget, while putting my favorite icons around it for this I downloaded Home++ and weather forecast widgets v2. However, I really don't like how the default time and date and bottom icons look that comes with the Home++. A lot of you guys have the screen that looks like the HTC Sense UI. It's awesome! How can I get my droid to look like this???
2.) I'm currently employing the 3 screen setting (which I like). I would like to put a full size calendar on the left screen so that I can flick it over whenever I need to take a look. Is this possible? And is there an app/widget that can do this?

On the car dock the "Car Home" was default to the home key on the Droid. If I backed out of Car Home to get to an app or something, I would just touch the Home key and it would get me back to car home.

So when i either put my droid in my car mount or i press the "car/home" app, my phone goes into car mode. here i have 2 screens to choose from. the first screen has 6 buttons all with applications in them, the second screen has 6 buttons but only 3 have applications in them. question is, is there a way to customize the other 3 buttons and pit an application in them or am i stuck staring at 3 empty buttons forever?
