I'd like to get some feedback, maybe a few mini reviews on my sweeter home theme for the Motorola droid, it's titled rasta_stormtrooper and is currently in their theme library.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm just starting to get the hang of Sweeter Home Preview 2. And as many of you already know, some widgets (like Beautiful Home) won't update consistantly. I'm going to email the dev my finding so hopefully he can rectify this issue. But in the meantime, you can try this fix/work-around. My Beautiful Home widget has been keeping the correct time for almost 12 hours now ... through many edits, screen changes, and reboots. That was not the case just yesterday. What I finally did was experiment with the "Layer Level" parameter of everything on the screen. What I found was that if the Beautiful Home widget was on the highest level (10), that it will update with no problems. In fact, I have no other Layer Level 10 items on the screen where I'm using that widget.
View 17 Replies View RelatedOne thing that's bothering me about SH... I don't use Beautiful Home anymore. In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.

I've been playing around with the new releases of Froyo 2.2. It appears that sweeter home is not compatible with the new 2.2. Man! This sucks! i have emailed the dev the bug reports. I am hoping that a new release will be coming very soon. Hopefully we can get some kind of the eta on the new release. And just when sweeterhome was virtually bug free!

View 10 Replies View RelatedThe learning curve is a little steep, but once you learn it ... it is THEE home-replacement app. Checkout the other Sweeter Home threads with pics to see what we're doing with this newly-released home-replacement app But I digress. As I have experimented with MANY apps, and home-replacement apps ... I am constantly watching how much available memory I have remaining. I open Task Killer many times throughout the day to check this. For the record, I have approx. 140 apps installed at this time. This hasn't changed all that much over the passed few weeks. I usually have between 38-52M available memory. I really haven't seen it above the 52M mark in a long time. But late last night, I finally finished enough of Sweeter Home to switch over to it full time. When I opened Task Killer, I couldn't believe what I saw! I had 68M available memory! I've been watching it all morning, and it seems to vary between the mid 50s, to the low 70s. So it appears that Sweeter Home Preview 2 is somehow using approx. 20M less memory than Launcher, Home, or Home++ Beta.
View 7 Replies View RelatedRunning perfectly. Very fast, responsive and smooth. I would suggest, however, to make the stock "Home" app your default desktop app the first time you boot up the new 2.1 update. Then you can test your theme in SH to make sure that it's all good. 2.1 has the Live Wallpapers (which seems very smooth, btw), but SH does NOT support them yet.

Trying out Google Gestures (very cool app!) with SWII. I would like to dedicate one of my five SWII screens to this app as an opened app. In other words, I'd like to slide the main home page to the left and have the Google Gestures app open automatically. Sweeter Home is so configurable, I figure there must be a way. I just don't know what it is.

View 17 Replies View RelatedSweeter Home has just taken over my Droid via FC loop. This is terrible! I can't use my phone because Sweeter Home can't start. It FCed in edit mode, while editing a custom tray, and now (for the past several hours), I can't get it to stop it's FC loop. I've pulled the battery, and when I try to boot into safe mode by holding the keypad menu button down while powering up the phone, after a point the phone vibrates, and restarts.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a basic AlertDialog using an activity with a theme of Theme.Dialog.What I want is for there to be a horizontal bar between the title and the message. However, the bar is not being resized correctly. Rather than being the width of the activity, the bar is the width of the message text. This means that if the activity is being expanded by the message, then the bar will fill the whole activity, so it looks correct. However, if the message width is less than the activity width, the bar only displays above the part of the activity with the text. I've tried every single combination of "fill_parent" and "wrap_content" that I can think of, and none of those work.I've also tried using RelativeLayout and placing the bar above the message text, but that also doesn't work. If I use the RelativeLayout approach and set the bar to fill_parent, it causes the activity to expand to fill the whole screen width, which is also undesirable. Ideally, I want the text placed, the activity width computed, and the bar resized to that width (without affecting it). Is there some way to flag a view to fill the parent view but not to affect its size?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use themes in my apps, which generally just extend android:Theme and then set a bunch of styles. I use dialogs made from layouts, but since I set the theme for the application, they have inherited all of the regular styles and no longer carry a border, etc. My question is: How do I say, "I want everything to use this theme which extends Theme, except dialogs, which should use this other theme that extends Theme.Dialog"? It seems like that's how things work by default but when you set the theme to your own, you lose the dialog theme!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've extended Theme.Dialog to use a different color as per the sample in the ApiDemos project but for some reason it does not use the theme properly in my project. I created a new project and it works perfectly fine there. The main problem here is that it does not show as floating in my project. Instead, it sets the rest of the screen black except for what would be the dialog window, where it uses the correct colors, etc. Any ideas? I am beating my head against the wall here.
