View 4 Replieswhen I tried to use my camera it has the message "preparing sd card" and never lets me use the camera. I can switch to camcorder mode and that works just fine but whenever i switch back to camera mode i get the preparing sd card message. My first thought was that the card was somehow corrupt, but I am able to play mp3s and watch videos from the card with no issues. I also opened astro and navigated to the DCIMcamera folder and i am able to view the pictures in the gallery that i've taken with the default viewer. when i'm in camera mode and try to view the gallery it just says no media found. I have tried rebooting and pulling both the battery and sd card, putting everything back in and powering back up, but it still does the same thing. Anyone ever seen this or have any other advice on a possible fix?
View 7 Replies View Relatedive had this phone for 5 days, after switching from an iphone. its seems great but i found a trick which was Turning on USB Debugging mode after i found it was behaving quite laggy today. But since doing this the phone when turned completely off and turned back on again doesnt boot up as quick as when i first got it. It goes to a htc logo. then loads another htc logo, does the jingle, then says preparing the sd card, a limited services message comes up and then the phone loads up
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out. My BH2 is stock not hacked or anything and the first time I had it, I used the USB cable to transfer songs onto my SD card. Now when I tried it again, I connected the USB and it's in charging mode and I went into the notification menu to mount the SD card, it says preparing external SD card but then it stops and does not connect to my PC. Also the PC cannot detect any device connected to it.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using a SanDisk 8bg sd card in my Moment, but whenever I activate the camera, it just says "Preparing Sd card..." and just sits there. I can take videos, but soon as I slide the switch to still camera mode, the message comes up again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince I got my 16 GB Card it's started saying it for longer than with my 2GB Card, however it says it less now. Does how long it takes depend on how much data you put on since taking it out of USB Mode? Because when I first got this card I wrote a lot to it (Moving all my files over), but now I just put a few files here and there on... Is there a way to disable this and let you run it manually at your leisure?

Recently upgraded to Froyo, which is when this problem started occurring. After removing the charger, the Desire notifies that it is Preparing SD Card (in other words mounting it). This means Apps2SD is a no go, as it stops any app installed this way, when is mounts the SD card.

I recently updated my Desire to 2.2 (stock Telstra update) and quickly moved some apps to the SD card to free up some phone storage. Since then I've noticed that after longer periods on standby (definitely hours - haven't worked out the lower limit yet), when I wake the Desire it notifies 'Preparing SD Card' and all the apps appear to have closed. By the apps having closed I mean the weather widget has to load, my Agenda/schedule widget has to load, my Dolphin HD browser starts afresh, etc. I had moved Dolphin to the SD card but not the widgets. The experience is kind of like after startup, so i'm presuming its all apps, but it may not be all - its certainly more than just the apps on SD.
To be clear, the SD card does mount fine, and I've had no other indications of SD card problems before or after the Froyo upgrade. I've seen reference to partitioning the SD card, but am not sure why I would do it or if it is relevant here. Is this a known problem with moving apps to the SD card, or is it a known problem with the Desire 2.2 update? Is it just me?
today I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a 15 gb sd card. I backed up my old sd card and then transferred everything over to my new card. Installed it and turned on my phone and now I get stuck with in a boot loop. re-installing my old card and it boots ok. so I figured I could make a new nandroid back up and just restore it. where do nandroid backups get stored on the sd card? I have a nandriod folder but it doesn't seem to contain the one I just made. I'm running the latest fresh 3.2
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just picked up a new 32 GB micro SD card for my infuse and at first I had trouble getting anything to read it, but it turned out to be something with the directories (specifically my mp3 player).
But now half of my apps won't get past the "loading" status and I imagine it's because some of the data is on the old SD card. They do load just fine when I have that in. I tried copying everything over to the new card, then tried formatting the card and copying everything over again and no luck. If I re-download one of those apps, it seems to keep my settings. I wouldn't mind re-downloading them all except that I can't even see the names of the apps on the home screen (just says loading) and I can't remember everything.
my memory card is stuck at 30.6 mb and wont go back to 32 gigs. I've searched for hours through every post i can see about this issue the card is a sandisk class 10 32 gig micro sd. it is not a counterfeit card as i bought it at radio shack.i tried parted,SD formater, commands in terminal,sd formatter all of them format it to 30.6 mb very disappointing bought this card a month ago and worked flawlessly pulled it out of my sgs iii when i sold it and now its stuck and wont be recognized by my current phone it says safely remove card ive tried formatting in cwm it wont mount it nothing.

View 14 Replies View RelatedPlease help if you can. I just flashed a new kernel for NexBeast. I had been running the 800Mhz one that Fabolous has posted on his thread and I decided to try a faster one to see how my phone responds. I'm copied the zip to my SD card and used ROM Manager to install it. I didn't wipe data/cache since I'm only installing a kernel. I also didn't do a backup because I just did one yesterday prior to loading a custom boot animation. ROM Manager did its thing and then the phone went to reboot, but I get stuck on the Motorola "M" and never get to the boot animation. The "M" will be on the screen for about 30 seconds and then will disappear for a moment only to return. I let it go for about 10 minutes hoping it was just stuck in a short loop, but it never stopped. I pulled the battery and tried again, but I'm still having the same problem. What can I do here? I'm new to rooting, so I'm stuck. I'm not too familiar with ClockworkMod Recovery, so I'm lost. I know that when I was still using SPRecovery I was able to boot into recovery while holding "X" and then I could access my backups from there, but I tried that and I'm not seeing any of my backups I made using ROM manager.
View 5 Replies View Relatedfeel stupid asking easy questions, but here i go.... tried installing a new kernel and tried one im guessing not compatiable. well, now it won't boot it stops at the motorola symbol and im wondering how i could either install a new kernel or recover a past saved rom.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to install a p3 low voltage froyo kernel and now I can't get any of my kernels to boot up. The p3 made my droid unusable so I tried reinstalling another one on my sd card and it's now stuck at the "M" no matter what kernel I try. Is there a way to install the stock kernel that came with the BB ROM or should I just reinstall the ROM itself?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the phone off ebay, i knew it was rooted, but didnt know it would hurt it if i wiped everything off it, the other guys info and such. well i wiped it and now there is nothing on the phone or sd card. how do i get the phone to start working again. thanks in advance.
View 14 Replies View RelatedJust this night I've been using my sdcard in a normal way, browsing internet, downloading files when suddenly my phone couldn't boot after flashing bootanimation (zip made by trusted developer so that's not the problem). Now when I connect my SD Card to the phone it will either say "preparing sdcard" forever or just simply freeze phone after few seconds. I tryed to connect it via working adapter with my PC to back it up... After copying few files sdcards unmounts from the reader... I've tryed on XP and it shows some command errors while trying to copy files in a regular way. I was ONCE able to flash few zips via recovery in order to make my phone boot up again it worked. Now I'm scanning my SD Card using Norton Internet security 2013 - Paid version - not cracked, and the sdcard seems to stay mounted to the PC. Unfortunately after trying to copy files from SD Card to PC it just freezes explorer.exe and unmounts itself...
I really have some important pictures on this sd card
PS. 32 GB SanDisk Class 10 UHS-I (grey and red one)
PS. 2 I was using swap partition, maybe my sdcard went dead from constant reads and writes?
PS. 3 Using linux I managed to copy 81 MB... then any copying froze but ubuntu didn't...
Anyone know how to get my DX out of Safe Mode? Got the phone wet and the rice trick seemed to bring it back to life, but it is stuck in safe mode. Battery pulls do not fix it.I have a replacement on order, but they aren't giving me a delivery date.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust noticed (cause I stuck it in the holster) that boot up did not work. Red eye is stuck and I think I need to pull battery. View 3 Replies View RelatedI was messing around with clockwordmod recovery and did something I shouldn't have. I am not deodexed, but I heard that you could apply some of the rom modifications without any problems. So I did one, and it was ok. I decided to try a different one and thats when I ran into a problem. My phone is stuck at the M logo now and I am not sure how to fix it. I could have sworn that i made a recovery before I installed the .zip but when i went in to try to recover it said there was nothing there. My one savior is that I have the SBF file I need, but I am on a mac so I can not use at the moment and would like to avoid this at all costs. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or will I need to SBF? Also, i have not let it sit at the M logo for an extremely long period of time, is it possible that it will pull around and start to load properly or is there definitely a problem?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy droids battery life has been miserable and overall the phone has been acting pretty flaky lately. I recently went back to rooted 2.0.1 after running the cyanagen rom. I re enabled OTA and want to just try stock 2.1 for now and see if it fixes my problems before I take it into verizon. After I enabled OTA's it downloaded the file and asked if I wanted to install the update which I said yes to. Phone shut down and restarted and ended up on the Clockwork Recovery screen. I said to reboot and the phone just comes back up in a rooted 2.0.1 version still. It says its running 2.0.1 and the system is up to date.Whats the easiest way to get to 2.1 and unroot? Help please!

View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone else having an issue where the phone will disconnect from an access point then not be able to reconnect? This happens on my home AP(as well as at work,) and I know it isn't the AP because my laptops stay connected. If I then disable the WiFi on the Droid, it shows as "turning off" until I reboot the phone. Suggestions? Other than this the phone has been tip-top. Should I wait until 12/11 before I try and exchange it?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI did something stupid and tried to put the Galaxy S status bar on the D2 without realizing it is for the X. Now it's stuck in an endless bootloop. What should I do? I was trying to do the D2 2.2 SBF but how do I connect since it keeps rebooting? EDIT: Found some info online during my panic. Allowed me to start the SBF, hopefully it works. "Power on holding the power key and the Up arrow key on the keyboard. After the M logo appears, release the two keys. That will put your Droid into the bootloader, then you can connect it to your PC via USB and use the SBF post to bring your phone back to normal."
