I have flashed with rsd 2 tiwce without error message but the phone is stuck in bootloader. I have pulled battery after the flask but the phone wont boot into anything...please help.

I recently used chainfire3d so you know i thought it would work so i tried it out and it said it would reboot the device, then it was going to reboot but it just stayed there nothing else happened. Did i break my phone because i already tried MythTeams stock frimware recovery and it still stuck. Also I am trying to use RSD to fix it but im having no luck so far
View 1 Replies View RelatedIncase anyone wants to know how to get into Bootloader you turn the phone off then hold Power+Volume Down+Camera and it will go into Bootloader 2C.5C. It says Battery OK, OK to Program Connect USB Data Cable. When I plugged it in I got a driver failure instantly (win 7) so maybe someone else will have better luck.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI tried the 2.2 root process. short and sweet is downgrade 2.2 to 2.1. Bunch of command line stuff. Install usb drivers, open program to flash and it reboots the phone, then more command line stuff, then installs custom 2.2 and you are now rooted. I got to where I install the custom usb drivers and open the reflash program. All it does is go to the bootloader and sit there. I said screw it and was going to just reinstall 2.2 and be done with the attempt of rooting until a 1 click type came out. Problems is, now I cant even install 2.2. Sits at the bootloader screen. Called Sprint and they tried to help me do a factory reset by going to the phone app and typing ##87# or something.
When I hit reset it was supposed to show a screen thats wiping and reinstalling or something. Nothing happen. Stuck at that bootloader screen again. So here is what I think happened and I need help fixing it. I installed a newer bootloader or older one or something and the new 2.2 is having a hard time getting past it or I just completely screwed it all up. I am currently on 2.1 and all is working fine but I cant upgrade or anything. What are my options and how do I get this back to 2.2? Would love to try and root it and be done. Or just plug it into the PC and reinstall everything back to factory but I am coming from the iPhone where that is possible and I guess you cant on HTC.
I have tried multiple things, but I'm still stuck at the boot loading screen with the X.
I had cyan 5.0.4. - I wiped and flashed to 5.0.5 and now i cannot get past the boot.
I've tried booting back into recovery and wiping and doing a nandroid recovery to 'amon's recovery 1.7.0' but to no avail.
My phone is stuck in boot-loader screen and not even showing me Google logo on selecting Start from boot-loader screen, when connect charger then also it shows me boot-loader screen
Steps which i followed to install 4.3 manually is:
1. fastboot erase boot
2. fastboot erase cache
3. fastboot erase recovery
4. fastboot erase system
5. fastboot erase userdata
6. fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader_filename_.img>
7. fastboot reboot bootloader
8. fastboot flash radio <radio_filename_.img>
9. fastboot reboot bootloader
10. fastboot -w update <Rom_filename_.img>
Step 1-9 executed successfully but at step 10 while writing system.img installation got stuck and i waited for 40 mins but nothing happened
Repeated above step 3 times. Need to recovery my nexus 4 to its normal state
My droids battery life has been miserable and overall the phone has been acting pretty flaky lately. I recently went back to rooted 2.0.1 after running the cyanagen rom. I re enabled OTA and want to just try stock 2.1 for now and see if it fixes my problems before I take it into verizon. After I enabled OTA's it downloaded the file and asked if I wanted to install the update which I said yes to. Phone shut down and restarted and ended up on the Clockwork Recovery screen. I said to reboot and the phone just comes back up in a rooted 2.0.1 version still. It says its running 2.0.1 and the system is up to date.Whats the easiest way to get to 2.1 and unroot? Help please!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did something stupid and tried to put the Galaxy S status bar on the D2 without realizing it is for the X. Now it's stuck in an endless bootloop. What should I do? I was trying to do the D2 2.2 SBF but how do I connect since it keeps rebooting? EDIT: Found some info online during my panic. Allowed me to start the SBF, hopefully it works. "Power on holding the power key and the Up arrow key on the keyboard. After the M logo appears, release the two keys. That will put your Droid into the bootloader, then you can connect it to your PC via USB and use the SBF post to bring your phone back to normal."
View 3 Replies View RelatedNavigation has been working great since I got the phone in November. Starting yesterday the phone gets stuck on "SEARCHING FOR GPS." It's so odd - because it goes through the whole FROM, TO and even gives me the summary - 5.2 miles to destination etc.
Then it can't find the GPS? I've tried pulling the battery and uninstalling the last App I installed (which was handscent SMS). Could an app update have killed it? I think Yelp & Astro Manager recently had updates.
My phone is stuck on "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." If I hit "force close," the screen just keeps popping back up.I've powered off twice and even pulled the battery. My only other idea is to force into factory reset during reboot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone Friday and it is now Tuesday(Got my phone in August). I installed some apps that are rooted only. Tethering, Overclock Widget, Titanium Backup, ROM manager.When I tried to install a new ROM I was getting download errors. I saw something about ADW.Launcher so I downloaded that and got a theme for it. Today when I reinstalled the Cyanogen 6.0.0. Stable release and rebooted my phone I would get to the Motorola Symbol. After that I got to my custom boot image(Dancing Droids). The image got half way doing its animation it restarted from the begging this continued until I took out the battery. Went into recovery mod and the Cyanogen boot image appeared and did the same as my Dancing Droid but completed 1 1/2 circles with the blue flame. When I got home I plugged in my phone flashed a 2.2 FRG22D.sbf file. I then used RSD lite and connected my phone. Had some trouble flashing the file but eventually got it. When I went back to the boot loader screen and cleared my cache/data(thought it would help) I restarted my phone. Watched and Motorola symbol appear and posted this 1 hour later. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong or what to do?

Not exactly an old pro, but I know my way around at this point.At any rate, I decided to give the BatteryLeft widget a try today since I went to Fab's xTheme and it didn't have a battery percentage in the notification bar. The dev recommends that you let your phone completely discharge a few times so that it can accurately predict the remaining percentage and the time until the battery dies.So I let the battery completely discharge and I connected it to my home wall charger to begin recharging. The problem I have been having is that my phone will not stay powered off and continually tries to boot up. I tried charging via car charger, USB and in the media dock and I had the same result.
The problem is that the phone won't charge long enough to stay powered on and continue to charge. The process of rebooting seems to prevent the phone from charging appropriately and uses up the small bit of the charge the battery gets for the 2-3 seconds before rebooting.I tried rebooting into CWR and letting it sit to gather enough charge to stay up, but that doesn't seem to have worked either.I'm at a loss for what to do. I can't get the phone to stay on to do anything, I can't get it to stay off to charge.
I flashed my phone to 2.0.1 b/c I thought I had to do that. Turns out I didn't, but there is outdated and updated information out there and I was misled. Anyway, 2.0.1 installed fine and it booted up, though my phone wasn't activated. Anyway, then I realized I needed SPRecovery, so I installed the sbf for that using RSD Lite. It installed successfully as far as i can tell? But it did a reboot, and now it's just stuck on the white-background Moto logo while plugged into my USB. RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone."

I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was on 2.2 rooted on my droid x. Attempted to install a replacement for the taskbar. The phone is stuck in a boot loop now. I've read about 5,000 different pages saying just use RSD. It all starts by saying; plug the phone in, let the computer detect it, install the drivers.. This is where I'm stuck. The only thing I have access to is the recovery console and the big endless loop. So at no point the phone turns on to the point where the PC will detect it as a device.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI just bought my Droid X a couple of weeks ago (2.2 and Rooted). It wanted to do some auto app updates and I told it to do them all not sure if it was before or after that that I noticed a red light by the ear "piece/speaker" and the phone was on and a battery level warning came on which I thought was premature. I plugged in the power cord the light went to green and I looked over a few minutes later and it was dead. I could be a little off on what happened when but that's what happened.
It wont power on now and I've tried holding a few different buttons while powering on and still nothing. I did check the settings the other day and it was successfully backing itself up not sure how to use that backup though. I just looked over after typing this post and the Motorola "M" was on the screen but I couldn't get it to do anything so I pulled the battery and tried again to boot it and nothing.
trying to grt my driod into bootloader so i can down grade and root but cant even get phone into bootloader mode tried powering up while holding d-pad up didnt work, tried powering up holding camera and volume down didnt work dont know what else to try..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to root my Droid but everytime I hold power and up on dpad it just gets stuck on a black screen. I can tell it is trying to go to the bootloader but it just doesn't go. Do I need to hold the power button while holding the dpad up? I need to know because I dropped my phone in some water a few weeks ago and it screwed my power/sleep button up a little bit.Sorry this question may be such a cluster but I'm just trying to get some tips or information on what to do.

Trying to root my moto droid, following all instructions in the "The All-new Guide to All Things Root-related" thread. However it seems I've found myself a problem that isn't described anywhere i can find. Upon opening RSD and rebooting into the bootloader my computer (Windows XP pro 32 bit) says that its found new hardware: "SE Flash OMAP3430 MI". I've already installed the provided 32 bit drivers for my droid, but it seems the bootloader itself requires its own set of drivers. Tried showing the found new hardware wizard where the droid drivers where located, would not accept them. Also tried the search the internet option, again no luck. Something's clearly amiss...

What is the easiest way for me to get up to date with the new radio? Currently I have 30.01 bootloader.I read that I can use the FULL 2.2 SBF file to update the bootloader and the more importantly, the Radio. I am wondering however if I need to remove remove Bootstrap or Unroot first? I would imagine I do not, but you can never be too careful, there seems to be alot of misinformation, and I'm digging up posts where some people say the Full 2.2 SBF will not update the bootloader.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have ran into a issue while trying to root my Droid. I was following the sticky and the first time I used RSD and loaded SPRecovery 2.1 SBF it failed. I got a Critical Error DEA1. I then booted the phone and ran the file again and it completed this time.I have powered down and held X each time and never get past this screen. I then went into the section on putting the stock OS back and I get the same issue. Is there anything I can do? I have been searching the forms, but I cannot find anything.

I thought the SBF would flash a new bootloader version like the OTA. I think the OTA is 30.03 that changed signatures preventing downgrading. Anyway after I flashed the new SBF I looked at the bootloader version and it was still 30.01. Dose anyone have any info on this?

I used the 2.1 SBF to restore the phone a couple times during my playing around with various ROMs.When the full 2.2 SBF rolled around, I used that to upgrade to 2.2 rather than accepting the OTA, partly because it was easier to do that than it was to roll back the leaked 2.2, then accept the OTA. However, it looks like, during this process, my bootloader never changed. I'm still at 30.01. Intuitively, I guess this makes sense - you can't update the bootloader from within the bootloader. However, there have been a lot of questions surrounding the new 2.2.1, bricked phones, and bootloader versions. I know the theory is that it's just from wiping data but nonetheless, I'm wondering what my options are or if I need to worry about it at all? Can I SBF back to 2.1 and accept the OTA to get a recent bootloader, since I still have the 30.01 bootloader version? I guess there's little harm in trying since I could always SBF back to 2.2, but I'm just wondering if I'm asking for trouble.

I cannot because when I hold power and x it goes into the sprecovery/nandroid back up with the Android guy with a ! on him.
