Aug 19, 2010After many weeks of waiting and my fiasco almost switching to an Incredible, my X finally arrived today. I'm new to the forum but have been reading around since ordering my phone. I don't intend to root at the moment because it's not what i need and I want to see how I like froyo. I will be using launcher pro but I really want these, or similar, dock icons but can't seem to locate them. I don't need to root or anything to get the completely transparent dock background do I? And for those with macs, what do you feel that the best way to move things between your phone and mac are? I plan on using double twist unless someone can mention something they feel is better!

Nov 11, 2009it seems like everything just boots when the phone does..i have advanced task manager to end things that arent in use every 30 min but that doesnt take care of them booting up to begin with..like facebook yes i use it but why does it have to be a running app on boot same for the market.

Nov 14, 2010I just rooted and will soon install a new ROM and kernel which I understand requires a factory reset. There are certain things I want to backup before doing and know of Titanium Backup and MyBackup but wasn't sure if one or the other could do everything I needed. This what I'd like backed up I think that covers everything. Can anyone tell me if either Titanium or MyBackup can do all of this? Anything else I should want backed up (that isn't already by Google) but not thinking of?

Jan 23, 2013In Gingerbread, I could click menu button at my home screen and choose "Edit" and all my desktop screen will minimize and I can add screen or remove screen (including all widgets and shortcuts) just by dragging the screen to the bottom where it says Remove.
I could not find any way to do this in ICS?

With all my previous android phones I've been able to set up desktop shortcuts to each account so they can be checked separately. With the X, I cannot seem to do this. The email shortcut does not allow me to specify an account, and just shows the default account. I'd really like to continue to use my old system of two account shortcuts.

Dec 3, 2009Has anyone tried Xtralogic or any other suggested remote desktop application on their Droids? Via the VPN, I would like to connect to my windows servers from my phone. How is Xtralogic if anyone has tried it? Also, is there a command line prompt application for the Droid, so I would have the capability of pinging windows servers, (after establishing a VPN connection of course)? The built-in VPN tool on my phone works fine.

Nov 6, 2009Is there a way to delete messages on the Droid without deleting them on the email server? My Curve would allow me to do this. My wife and I use the same email, and she gets bombarded with mail that clutters my phone. BB made it easy to delete only on the handheld, but I don't see any such option on the Droid.
