When my phone is turned off and i plug it in to charge, it automatically turns on. No matter what, if it is plugged in charging, the phone is on. any help?And also, when setting a background. I use large pictrues put it only lets me select a little square of it to use as my bg, and it zooms in an extreme amount and uses taht as my bg.

Anyone else had an issue with powering up? I now have to push all of my power cords down to get a charge now. If I just plug it into the phone, no charge. It's until I jiggle the cord, is when I get a charge.
Anyone else had this issue? I might take it back in for a new one soon.
I just got a used LG Eve but it didn't come with an ac wall charger. A pc puts out 500mA through usb as most of you know and I find it takes awhile to charge this phone through my pc. My pc is also in the basement while my room is 2floors above that and I generally like to charge my phone next to my bed while I sleep. How many amps does the ac wall charger put out? Also I have a usb power supply thing that puts out 5volts at 2amps. Would this be too much for the phone/battery and kill it?

I've found the Settings/Applications/Development "Stay Awake" checkbox, but the screen still dims down after 30 seconds, though it doesn't go completely off.Is there a way to keep the screen on?All the WinMo phones I had had two separate profiles one for on battery and one for when on a charger, and you could set the screen brightness and timeout independently for each power profile.The reason for this is that I have a dashmount cradle of sorts that I use, and I generally put the phone in it and plug it in when I'm driving any sort of distance. I do things like look at the phone signal, see if new mail comes in, etc. while driving, and it's just reassuring to look down at the phone and see it doing something without having to hit the power button.

For example, I have a Galaxy Note 2 running Jellybam and every time I turn the power off and plug it to a charger it friezes at the charging screen where there's a turning circle. Therefore, I just want to find away to get rid of the old charging screen and add a new one to try to fix the problem. Where the charging screen files locate in the root and where can I find the custom one to replace it. I've tries Nomoarpower from Chainfire but it seems doesn't work even the system files are installed as after the power is off it always brings me back to the frozen charging screen instead of the new one.

Previously my Xperia used to turn in by itself while charging i figured it out as an Intelligent Charging Circuit system,then i updated my phone and it stopped turning on while charging, even after 2.1 it is not resolved.although it stops charging when its powered on and fully charged but it dont when its off it neither stops charging nor turns on by itself, is it a problem if it is how can i resolve it.

This shows a battery with a certain part shaded in to presumably indicate how charged it is and I suppose if its charging or not. There are some dots below the battery. What do they show? There are 5 dots that progress from left to right (empty are area to full area), does this indicated that the battery is charging? Does the rate of progression indicate how fast its charging? Do the dots do something else if the battery is discharging? Is there are lighting bolt inside the battery if its charging?
I have searched and searched and never seen an explanation of this powered off screen, which are slightly different depending on devices (some have charge indicator (i.e., "90% charged") and some just have the dots, some have lightning bolt inside battery some do not).

Has anybody else experienced when charging the phone with a non-motorola charger (got it from ebay for like $5), you really can't operate the phone. I then used it with the charger that came with the phone and everything is fine.

It did go thru 'usb connect', did NOT load driver, and is 'not charging'?USB symbol at top of screen(Launcher Pro), screen stays on but no moving charger symbol.Am I actually charging?Does the battery icon just not move with USB connect with Launcher Pro?Will find out one way or the other EDIT: OK. I changed the 'USB connection' setting from "PC Mode" to "Charge Only" and the battery symbol now shows charging. That is weird.

I came from the incredible which had a battery bug, where if you charged it while it was on you wouldn't get a full charge. Does the droid x have this problem. I seem to get better life if i charge it up off and over night then when i charge it at work with it on.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Droid, the original.I got this phone back in May or June, my battery life has always been normal, i.e. 12+ hours on normal use throughout the day.I have a non-OEM charger, I have since I got the phone, and it has never affected the phone or the battery life. Recently in the past few weeks I've noticed that my phone's battery has been draining much more frequently, i'm now getting 8+ hours on normal use. Also I have noticed when I plug my phone in to the charger it says it's charging, but when I wake up it's only at 50-60% and I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to go to full 100%. I've been trying to research why it is doing this, but i'm coming up with no answers.

When you plug it in the phone says charging, and the red light on the adapter goes on when plugged in, but the battery percentage only decreases over time and the little light on the left that normally goes on does not. Has this happened to anyone before? I switched out the USB cable but it's still not charging. The next obvious idea is to buy a new charger but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas before I did. Also, if need be, anyone know of cheap places online to buy one?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI had the original droid and now a droid X. Normally when charging either of them it takes like 2+ hours to fully charge from a low charge. Tonight I was at a friends house and I took out this new cord I bought at walmart that came with a universal usb car charger. My droid was on 20% and within 20-30 minutes it charged to full! I'm almost positive the computer was charging it via usb 2.0. Now I have usb 2.0 on my home computers but it always takes 2-3 hours to charge. I went home and went from a 70% charge to 100% in minutes via this "new" cord and not using the cord that came with the droid. Is it possible the cord with the droid only will charge at a certain rate and this new cord is charging much much faster or enabling usb 2.0 instead of 1.0 or 1.1? It would be great to not have to charge my droid all night long all the time. Also is there a way to know if your droid is charging via usb 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0 or even usb 3.0? Does this make a difference with charging times?

I just got my Droid but the power button seems to feel mushy clicky instead of how a button should feel with a proper click when engaging. What about you guys? Mine like mushy click feel but if I press dead center then its a near perfect less mushy click.
View 31 Replies View RelatedI am new to this rooting stuff. I am running 2.2, froyo and Launcher Pro. When I power off (don't do often) the phone comes back up really slow. I tried the default Launcher and it does the same thing so I am thinking it probably is not Launcher Pro (although it could be doing something in the background) I noticed that my clock speed, which was set to 900 is down to 250 when the phone boots back up which is probably why it is powering up so slow. Is there anything I can do to have it keep the 900 setting so that it boots back up faster? Is it the clock widget possibly? Be gentle, I am tech challenged.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Question, I had liquid froyo 1.6 on my phone with one of the available themes, compared to bb0.4 it used a lot more of the battery.Yes I had the same apps on the phone with the same widgets and using the phone in the same areas as I normally do. Also used it less than I have with bb 0.4. I went from 100% down to 90% in about 15 min. just using a IM Program. Do these phones have more drain with a theme installed. I know that blackberry's suffered from this problem.
