The answer to this question will help me decide which version of the ipad to get.
So the Droid X's talk time is stated to be 8 hours, while the iPhone 4's talk time is stated to be 7 hours. Does that mean the Droid X's battery will last as long as the iPhone's? I'm not exactly sure how battery length works.

While looking at You Tube videos it pops up i reply and when i go back to my video its just blank will not restart or anything else i have to hit back and click on the vid from the start. Its just annoying. Anyone know a work around this. I am Rooted i also have Tasker (but not that good where i can figure out how to do this) Does this happen to everyone is this just the network not being able to handle text and data at the same time. It worked fine on my old iphone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOk I've read a gazillion threads on battery life and 2.1 etc etc and you have me all waiting anxiously for an update and bigger batteries but what about actual talk time on the phone? didn't see any threads about that. Its not uncommon for my phone to be a toy all week then on the weekend catch up with some buds or family or whatever and yak on the thing for 2 hours straight. Will it hold? I know my old razer with an ext batt would go 4 hours talk time easy, glimmer would do 2.5 hrs easy with stock battery sometimes more. Pearl did well, haven't really talked the Storm out cause its my work phone and I tend to shun that thing on the weekends ....so let me know how long you've talked on it! Battery life does seem to stink but I can't put the damn thing down so I'm sure that has something to do with it and all my other smartphones sucked battery wise too the first week or so, so I'm not passing judgment yet, just want to know how long i can talk on the thing before it dies....I will do my own testing soon but would like some ideas.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 2 apps that need to talk to each other.
-'Hotspot' will act as a stationary hotspot,
-'Child' will be on devices that are going in and out of range.
The hope is that a 'Child' app will come into range of the 'Hotspot' app and transmit it's ID. The ID will then be visible on the 'Hotspot' app, along with other 'Child' apps in range. When the user of the 'Hotspot' app clicks on one of the 'Child' apps in range, it's ID will be logged for later use.
Can you code an app to act like a WiFi hotspot for connecting one device to several devices without allowing abuse of their data plan. Can the two apps on two different devices 'talk' to each other WiFi?
For some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.
wireless tether and barnacle wifi tether doesnt work after 2.2 leak.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBattery was at 24%. Talked for 10 Minutes. Now 18%. Really? 6 %. By that rate you can get 166.6 minutes of talk time. Does this sound right? No apps were running in the backround.
View 3 Replies View Relatedseems like a good idea to me. would it work?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wondering If I can text and talk at the same time. My phone is not letting me currently.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is related to rooting my phone, I don't think it is, but since my phone is rooted and there's a chance that it is related I figured I'd ask here. I recently downloaded the SwitchPro widget and one of the toggles is a 2G/3G button. I was exploring each switch and this one didn't seem to do anything except disable the mobile non-wifi internet. However since then it's not been working properly at all. This is effecting me if I am without Wifi, so I start by disabling Wifi. If I go to Settings > Wireless & networks, Mobile network is checked and says "Use phone for data connection when Wi-Fi is unavailable." But mobile internet doesn't work (only calls and SMS come through). If I go to Internet and launch a page, I immediately get an error that the network is unavailable with an option to click Settings or Cancel. If I click Settings, the Mobile network checkbox is grayed out and then after a few seconds it says Connected. After a few minutes of being idle, this happens again. If I go back to the Wireless & networks listing, it says "Use phone for data connection when Wi-Fi is unavailable" and the box is checked. If I uncheck and recheck is says "Connected."Clearly this widget borked my Mobile network settings, presumably because it's meant for GSM. How can I restore these settings to what they should be without completely restoring my phone from scratch?
