I have been looking all over for this. Can someone just post up the changelog in this thread?

View 4 Replies View RelatedGot up this morning and went ahead with some planned releases to a couple of my apps. When I got into the app detail page on my Market Developer Console, I found a new section: Recent Changes! I pasted my changelog in, published my upgrade, and it's already appearing in the Market. Text in this box appears to just be appended to your description, under a heading of "Recent changes:".

My friend bricked his DX with the Deodexing or whatever. After an sbf flash..
Can we update to 2.2 via update.zip in recovery, install rom manager, and then install MY backup on his phone? I'm currently uploading them to file hosting, and wondering if this would work.
If so, will he be fully rooted, deodexed, and themed(I'm rocking the xtreme 2.2 theme)?
A lot of Android apps now display a modal dialog with the changelog (text) of the application (what's new in the latest version) the first time after it is installed or updated.
Does any one have example code on:
How to display a nice modal dialog suitable for scrollable text
How to make sure the dialog is only shown once
For 2. I assume SharedPreferences can be used for defining a preference "hasChangeLogBeenShownForVersionX" that is updated after the dialog has been shown. (though there might be a better way
So one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUnlike our US counterpart (Motorola Droid) the European Motorola Milestone/ users are not currently given any updates at all. The update server does not respond, as such we are stuck with 2.0 and with well known documented problems. Some of which make the device not usable.

View 15 Replies View RelatedFrom BGR after the Motorola Press Conference at CES..All Motorola Android handsets, including the CLIQ, will be updated to Android 2.1.Motorola is working on Flash 10.1 integration, is optimized for the DROID's chipset and will be pushed out the DROID at some time in the future.Motorola DROID will receive a second maintenance update in the near future..Motorola kept is short and sweet so that is all folks!
Heres hoping for sooner rather than later. Only thing that concerns me about soon is the fact that the last statement just says maintenance update in the near future. So im kinda thinking 2.1 wont be with it on the 22nd.
Is there a changelog available for Android 2.2.1?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to manually update the Droid phone to the new version of the OS? My phone doesn't have service because I am using it for learning development only.
View 8 Replies View Relatedok, I am new to these forums, so im sure these questions have been answered a million times before. But i am wondering how close is the 2.1 update and flash to being available for the Droid. Also, how do you update it, is it in the market or will it just happen automatically?
View 49 Replies View RelatedI'm still running the leaked 2.2 with FlyX, a little bummed that Pandora doesn't work. Can anybody suggest another ROM, and the best way to update?
View 4 Replies View RelatedGot stuck on MOTO loop, just like when i tried the leaked version. doing SBF now. i wonder if it was cuz i had a different boot screen. will update after. SBF/cache wipe/reset, Update : sbf not working like it did last time now i get on the X
MEM_MAP Blank Service req'd OK to program. did the update somehow stop the old SBF file from working? how long before a new SBF file is out? i cannot get the phone to where i can select factory restore.
Well ive been searching the internet all day for others in my boat. Everywhere I look people who rooted there 2.1 did the Official OTA with no issues. I am not looking to root 2.2. All i want to do is get 2.2 OTA from verizon. I keep getting Failed to Update. I unfroze all the bloatware. what else do i need to do? right now i am trying to unroot using that one click program and that isnt working either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cant even get the new update from Cyan. I've been using Rom Manager to get new ROMs. Running Cyan 6.0.0 rc1 and cant flash any other ROMs!
View 11 Replies View RelatedHere is what I'm trying do accomplish. I want to use the newest Bugles beast Rom update.zip but i want to insert the Adamz kernal, wifi driver, and a framework-res file so it can all be installed in 1 update. reason for this is i have 3 friends that i have rooted phones for and would like to keep them updated with the most current rom but i want them to only have to install 1 file (they are not very tech savy). so anyways i tried simply dropping those files in there appropriate place and installing it but i get an error "(bad) installation aborted" so what do i need to create/edit an update.zip file. i read maybe i need to sign the update but i have no idea how to do that.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a way to manually update your phone's PRL (not *228)? My PRL was updated and now I am not getting 3G where I live. I tried ##PROGRAM, but there was no place to change the PRL. Dialing ##778# does not work either for me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if it will simply "overwrite" the manual update, or if we should abort it altogether. OR, if we will even get one at all if we manually updated.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to ROOT your Droid after the 2.2 Verizon update? If so, is there a link for it? Is it the same process as before?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to root after the OTA 2.1 update yet?
Sorry, I had my noob goggles on this morning and accidentally applied the OTA update after I did the baseband update so now I've lost root. I know, I know... that update file should never have been on my sd card to start with.
I did a backup with ROMmanager prior to these updates, but can't do anything with it now. Just need to root again so life can continue.
this may not be possible yet but can 2.1 be rooted first of all and second is there a kernel i can replace the original with? I like the cyan roms but i just want the basic 2.1 with an updated 1.2 or 1.1 ghz kernel.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am waiting for my replacement Droid X to arrive (not till Friday or whatever) and I was thinking that maybe the update would fix my slowness? I have already switched back to my old phone but I'm wondering is there a way I can get the update over Wifi so I don't have to put the Droid X back onto my line? If it fixes the issues, I would of course put it back on my line and use it but I want to try the update first..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a DX running the 2.2 OTA. I rooted my phone but did nothing else (no deodex, no custom anything.) I did rename some of the default apps to disable them but backed up before. Now, here is my question. I want to check for updates (I know where are none, but I keep hoping there will be to fix all the little bugs Froyo seems to have) and I get a "Check for update was not available at this time." I get this EVERY TIME.
Could this be a problem from rooting? Is anyone else having this issue? And yes, I did disable the wifi only updating in settings, so it isn't that.
