I have the dock (now) and I have the Droid set to sleep and lock after two minutes. Great while I have my phone out of the dock but annoying when it is in the dock. I don't see a setting to disable sleep mode while docked.

View 13 Replies View RelatedOK, so there's not too much customizing you can do with the desk dock screen.There are only 12 icon positions spread out over 3 screens.But what have you done to get it like you like it?I've just got my Calender, Sound Hound (in case I hear something on the TV or radio I want to tag), my Music, and my Photos slide show.If I wanna make a call or check the weather, it's here. The "All lables" folder is Apps Organizer where I can access all of my apps and games without leaving the dock screen for the landscape home screen.My internet screen where I can toggle WiFi, check e-mail, browse, or watch YouTube videos.

Not totally, but almost. I've tried all kinds of settings, but nothing seems to change it. Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't see this issue covered so I'll ask it.Apologize if someone has already mentioned it.When I put the Droid into the car dock, it automatically converts to the car home screen like it is supposed to, but nothing works unless I plug in the car charger... I can push the screen and buttons till I'm blue in the finger but nothing will work while not plugged in. The second I plug it in, it work perfect. Anyone else have this issue? Is it a setting I somehow accidentally set? Should I restore it or take it back?

Just wanting to know because my wallpaper when upright (vertical position) does not look good when sideways (horizontal position). when sideway, because the differences in dimension of the screen, takes my wallpaper picture out of center so you cant see the entire picture.

The proplem I have is when I hit the dim button for when I go to sleep after a while the screen times out. It lasts for quite some time so it makes me think that once the phone hits 100% it defaults to my 1 minute screen time out because the phone stays on for at least an hour (I know this because ill plug it in and watch some tv then go to bed)Back when I was on nexbeast or before froyo I used to hit the dim then eventually it would default to a clock that would kind of bounce around the screen.I dont want to go back to nexbeast but surprisingly enough this is making me angry. I want to be able to use the clock for my room and the alarm clock but I also want to be able to dim the screen so I can sleep.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Froyo and when I put the phone in the desktop dock it goes into desktop mode but the screen times out after about 30 seconds. When I had 2.1 it stayed fully lit the whole time it was on the dock.Did this happen to anyone else?This is really annoying because I use it next to my office computer to easily check my schedule, time, tasks etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedRunning 2.2 from OTA when I take the phone out of a dock (Multimedia or car), the home screen has to rebuild it self. Meaning all the icons are slow to come back. think of it as on a windows machine Explorer dies and you have to do a start/run/explorer to get it back. Only difference i that this is automatic, just slow to get responsive again. Even swipping through the screen is slow at first. Is froyo, google's VISTA?

But I'm srqtlrting to wonder if 10 hours a day with the screen always on will be bad for my phone? It does seem a bit excessive. Can my x2 handle it, or should I let the screen dim while in dock?

When I push the end button to "turn on" the phone (i.e., wake the phone up), I get a black screen with the HTC symbol monentarily. Then, once that goes away, my background appears but nothing else except the waiting icon. I've been told that this is a conflict between something I have installed and the Sense UI.

I was losing 20-30% battery overnight with my phone fully charged at 100% so went into spare parts in battery history and it said the phone was running 100% for 12 hours. So to test it today I plugged it in, charged it to 100%, unplugged it, killed all tasks (even task manager), shut the screen off and sat it down for 2 hours. When I turned it on it was at 80% and spare parts said runnning 100 and when I click that it says "time spent without sleeping 2hrs (99.99025592487624%)

The only way I can get it to sleep and the screen to lock is to push the power buton on top of the phone. I have the screen set to time out at 1 minute. I have searched and read but no real answers for this phone.

Auto-rotation for keyboard when answering a text message received in sleep mode does not work. If I actively send a text when phone is already awake, keyboard rotates with no problem but when I go to reply to a text that I received while phone is in sleep mode, the keyboard does not rotate. Is this the norm?I am also experiencing a delay when the I wake the phone. After unlocking the phone, I used to go straight to my home page, now I get a "loading" message which takes several seconds. Is this due to the number of apps I have loaded? Is it possibly due to number of photo frames I have on my home screen or the complexity of the wallpaper?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I'm currently running the newest rubix build with the leaked version, but I've had this problem with other roms before this. I notice sometimes my phone just wont go to sleep and no matter what I cant figure out why. I dont have any crazy apps or services running in the background and in fact I think my wifi is part of the problem. For example, today I've had the phone off the charger for about 3 hours. I just checked it, and despite my screen only being on for about 30 mins (also no streaming or background data being used that I know of) my phone was running the entire time (100% reading in spare parts). I also noticed my wifi use in battery manager was high so I shut of wifi and of course the phone finally goes to sleep almost immediately after. I can't replicate this problem everytime although I havent fully tried, but I do know I've had a similar problem before on other roms. Am I missing something as to why wifi is preventing my phone from sleeping?
