I'm developing a game for android, and texture problem has been reported on Motorola Droid phones. (Missing/white background in the menu and during the game).
I've tried to fix this with changing the texture sizes to power of 2 (I used jpeg images as backgrounds, and they wasn't power of 2, however this worked fine on all my test devices).

I have an app which uses 3 different spinners to allow users to choose from some options. Iīve added those spinners to my layout without editing most of itīs properties and this way it works for most of my users. Unfortunately most isnīt all and then some of them started complaining that the list of options is showing text in white with over a white background! Iīd like to know if thereīs a way (or a property) so I can force those spinners to show the options list using text in black.

What was the default color?Even if someone doesn't know the answer, can someone at least select any icon on one of their home screens and tell me what color the background turns.Argh, there's got to be a way to change it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using a ListView with a transparent background. It works fine in Android 1.5 & 1.6, but in Android 2.0 and later, the ListView background turns white while scrolling. I want it to stay transparent, just like in 1.5 & 1.6.

I've been beating my head against the wall on this one for a minute now... did I find another bug like the list selector solid color one? When I set multichoice items for a dialog as seen below my list items have white background and white text, when I click or select an item I can see the text becomes black and the orange list selector shows as expected.... anyone know what's up?.............

Im having an issue with my gmail notifications. I still want to receive gmail notifications on my home screen (the app icon where the image shows how many emails) however I dont want it to play a sound.
I googled how to remove the sound, but all the walk throughs start with tapping a 'menu' button (three vertical square dots) at the bottom left in the gmail app. I dont see this menu button - see image below
I need to draw a background of 320 x 480 (fullscreen) for a OpenGL game. What I did was to stretch the texture to 512 x 512 and mapped it to 320,480 quad and then drew the rest of the game elements. I tried changing the texture image to 256x256 and no noticeable improvement in speed. Game was horribly slow even on the real device. It is actually slower on the device than on the emulator... I think i am the first one to have such a situation.. I am drawing a max of 12 triangles only 2 for background and rest are 64 x 64 textures. on 5 quad made with 10 triangles. I have disabled Depth, Lighting already. Only blending enabled as I use transparent PNG for texture of sprites. render cycle is like this - draw the background - draw the sprites (only 5) [with 10 triangles only] - swapbuffer... Please don't advice me to use 2d canvas, bitmap etc... I need to do it in OpenGL only. don't think OpenGL ES 1.0 is so incapable that it can't give me atleast 25-30 fps with just 12 triangles which you one 256x256 texture and one 64x64 textures (used by 5 quads...

I want to know what is the best way to move a background image to give a sense of speed to the game. Is there a way to make the background- image repeat endlessly or should I load the image twice and move them one behind the other one. Can anyone guide me on this one?
I have not really found any threads in these forums deticated just to overclocking the Droid. I am running BB v.9 and would like to overclock past 600 mhz. I have 2 overclocking utilities. The adb commands were successfull. WHen I rebooted my droid it was bricked (well not really cause I did a Nandroid backup right before I did this) It was just frozen with the white Motorola logo. Perhaps I downloaded a bad 800 mhz evilboot8.img.
I have looked everywhere for the answer to this question, but cannot find anything on it.

Only "top free" and "Just in" are options on the top. No paid apps, but some show in the "Just in". I thought there we supposed to be no market problems with these roms?
They appeared now. Took about seven hours, but they appeared.
I recently noticed that the share option was missing from the all apps menu, can restore it? I'm currently using a rooted HTC explorer running android 2.3.5. Please check the screenshot for more info.

The first fix that I came across was the xUltimate way, which for me was not that big of a deal, but I could see where it might be a problem for some. Well, thanks to Adamz over at the other site, there is a new way to fix this problem as well as adding an easier way to change the fonts within your droid. I have only tested this on the Smoked Theme, but from the way that it works, it looks as if it will work for most themes.
