Motorola Droid X :: Media Manager Or Media Link To Sync Itunes
Aug 25, 2010Is anyone using the Motorola Media Manager (or Media Link) to sync their itunes with the X? I downloaded the software but it keeps crashing. I've seen a few people refer to it but haven't seen much about it working or being used. I did find an app called iSyncr for PC that seems to have some good comments though.

Oct 10, 2010I have just started playing around with the video on my new x. I uploaded some files onto my mac and they opened with Quicktime. Im not sure what format the files were copied in, but I tried to import them into imovie so I could edit them and it doesnt seem to recognized the files I uploaded from the x. Can someone tell me what format the x video is in and how I might convert this to a mac friendly file (preferably for free).

Jul 24, 2010I've been trying to get a couple episodes of weeds on my DX (great show btw) and I've been having trouble with the playback. I used this guide exactly to convert them .How to convert videos and transfer them to the Motorola DROID X - Know Your Cell.The quality of the videos is great and so is the sound, its just in high "action" areas of the video its pretty choppy and laggy. One thing I should point out is that the videos original files are smaller than the droids highest resolution, but they still look great on the screen.

Oct 10, 2010Having a problem with MML. It works great with syncing all my music from my Itunes. But, I can't figure out why it syncs on its own and duplicates my playlists. In addition, the playlists are blank/empty no music on them. I use the Droid X stock player and have to manually delete all the empty playlists. This is getting to me. What can I do?

Aug 11, 2010Works nicely for my X. I just downloaded about 8 gigs of my music. It sync'd my videos also. Works well, but you have to select what you want to sync in the settings. Took me a while to figure it out. Also, if you try to sync a DRM protected MP3, the X gets cranky and kind of freezes up and displays a get license in the notification area.

These transferred videos are playing fine on device. However, when I check the video properties, it is has "Bitrate" as 0 KBPS. Whereas for the same video, the bitrate is displayed properly on PC.

Jul 28, 2010I've been looking for ways to Sync my music library in Droid with my iTunes, but with no 100% success.
I've used doubleTwist but it seems to stuck most of the time and it's really slow. I've also tried iTunes Agent but it seems to skip some items, and it doesn't copy sync album art!.
So since I'm a programmer, I wrote a simple app that will do what I need. It's written in C# so it will only work in Windows.
What it does is mirror copying your local music library into your Android device. Actually, it will work with any device, but it was written for Android, so I'll leave it as it is
Requirements:
- Windows Vista / 7 (Sorry xp guys!)
- Microsoft .NET 3.0 Installed (Most likely you have it).

- Download and extract the application
- Place AndroidSync.exe in your Android storage folder (sd card).
- Run whenever lib is needed to be synced.
Notice: It might have some bugs, as I wrote it in just one hour. Please tell me about anything weird you encounter.

Media :: Converting Videos Recorded With MT3G For Use In Windows Media Player / Movie Maker
Apr 8, 2010I want to be able to use/view the video's I record with my phone on my computer. (open from an email or use in window's movie maker)I have a new computer with Windows seven at work and a Vista laptop at home. I can send the video to myself and try to open in from my email or tether to the computer and transfer the file manually. Either way I can't open with windows media player. Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone?Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific?So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to do. Should be more user friendly.
