I just installed motorola media link on to my computer and it is amazing. I think this is a must download for all Motorola owners. It allows you to easily download music, photos, and more either on your phone or onto your computer from your phone. It also allows you to create ring tones and send them to your phone. Its like itunes for the iphone.

I'm new to the Android Software and just purchased the Samsung Captive. I was needing to know, can you have full songs as rings tones when receiving incoming calls. I was able to with my bb bold and it was easy.. But Im having trouble trying to figure it out. just when I think I got it my songs are listed in settings -sounds & display- under notification ring tone and not under my voice call ring tone in sounds & display settings. if anyone can direct me on the "how to process" I'd really appreciate it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have read a few threads about missing contacts but have not seen this mentioned.I set ring tones for a lot of my contacts, not all, maybe I'll get around to it one day.It seems that when I set a new song as a ring tone, one or more of my contacts end up with the new song for a ring tone. I noticed that the default would change to the new song but that is easy enough to reset.The problem with an already set contact is I don't know it until I get a call from them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave the phone. Went through all the fun of finding my own prefered ring tone - well I made it from a song, and another ring tone for other uses.
Set them up, set the "Message" tone, set the alarm tone and all was good.
It wasn't long after that I bought a SANDISC8 gig SD card.
Coppied ALL files over and swapped the cards.
I am not sure exactly WHEN the problem started, but it still exists.
Now and then the phone is in my pocket and it starts making a sound. It isn't one I selected, so ignore it until it becomes obvious it is mine as no-one else is talking on their phone.
I look and it is a message/phone call/alarm.
They are NOT the ones I set. So I go through the process of seting them back to what I like.
Someone says it could be a dicky SD card. I shall test that soon by putting back the original one and seeing what happens. The only problem with that is that it is SO INTERMITANT that it is hard to know if it is or not really the problem.
Is anyone using the Motorola Media Manager (or Media Link) to sync their itunes with the X? I downloaded the software but it keeps crashing. I've seen a few people refer to it but haven't seen much about it working or being used. I did find an app called iSyncr for PC that seems to have some good comments though.

Today my phone rang and the ring tone was a Bob Segar song. I had not set the song as a ring tone so I was a bit perplexed by it.
Later, my Wife called me and the ring tone was "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen which is also not a song that I had set as a ring tone.
Yesterday I was receiving voice mails despite the phone never ringing.
I was wondering if this is one of the bugs in 2.2.1 or is this just a problem on my phone.
Is it possible to delete ring tones?

It gets to the end and fails trying to register 2 com object dll's at the end, in the program files/common files/Nero/.

Is there anyway to create a icon on my Droid desktop pointing to a specific folder on my SD Card. I have a folder where I store all my movie videos that I would like quick access. The Gallery is much too slow having to search all my pictures and videos on my entire 16GB SD Card to populate and it doesn't even display the video name (its difficult to identify movies by the small thumbnail it displays). The best way to launch these currently I find is to traverse the directory tree using an explorer app, but I prefer a quicker method if possible.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with MML. It works great with syncing all my music from my Itunes. But, I can't figure out why it syncs on its own and duplicates my playlists. In addition, the playlists are blank/empty no music on them. I use the Droid X stock player and have to manually delete all the empty playlists. This is getting to me. What can I do?

Works nicely for my X. I just downloaded about 8 gigs of my music. It sync'd my videos also. Works well, but you have to select what you want to sync in the settings. Took me a while to figure it out. Also, if you try to sync a DRM protected MP3, the X gets cranky and kind of freezes up and displays a get license in the notification area.

Then in the all song list it randomly doubled up songs. But the worst thing it did was there a quite a few songs where it mixed up the song title with a different song.

Have any Phandroids downloaded and installed this? And if so, how is it working?
