Nov 9, 2009What program should I use to convert video so that I can play it on the Droid? I have avi and mpg videos but nothing will play. And it tells me my movies are too big for fat32.

Jun 6, 2010I was trying to go ahead and convert videos for my Evo so I installed Handbrake and was about to test settings but everytime I click start the command prompt comes up and it crashes. From what I read this seems to be a problem with Windows 7 (x64), which I am running, so my question is are there any alternatives to Handbrake?

Media :: Converting Videos Recorded With MT3G For Use In Windows Media Player / Movie Maker
Apr 8, 2010I want to be able to use/view the video's I record with my phone on my computer. (open from an email or use in window's movie maker)I have a new computer with Windows seven at work and a Vista laptop at home. I can send the video to myself and try to open in from my email or tether to the computer and transfer the file manually. Either way I can't open with windows media player. Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone?Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific?So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to do. Should be more user friendly.

Oct 10, 2010I have just started playing around with the video on my new x. I uploaded some files onto my mac and they opened with Quicktime. Im not sure what format the files were copied in, but I tried to import them into imovie so I could edit them and it doesnt seem to recognized the files I uploaded from the x. Jul 24, 2010I've been trying to get a couple episodes of weeds on my DX (great show btw) and I've been having trouble with the playback. I used this guide exactly to convert them .How to convert videos and transfer them to the Motorola DROID X - Know Your Cell.The quality of the videos is great and so is the sound, its just in high "action" areas of the video its pretty choppy and laggy. One thing I should point out is that the videos original files are smaller than the droids highest resolution, but they still look great on the screen.

I want to convert this device as Media Player (iPod) as well as can use it as second camera and backup phone.
This primary usage will be as Media Player.
1. A good Media Player app for Xperia X10 Mini (600mhz/256MB Ram, screen < 3")
2. How can i cut down the memory load to give lag free experience in media player.
3. Some light weight launcher, or how can i make media player to comeup as default instead of launcher.
XBMC doesnt work on the device, any other options?
